There can only be seven members at a time, hence the name. Those in possession of the seven powerful relics which comprise the legend of the Swordsmen are known for their fierce prowess in battle, and sometimes referred to as the 'private army' of Mist. Their blades are well known throughout the shinobi world, and easily recognizable;

As the Mizukage, he is a stalwart defender of his people and his nation’s ideals, albeit somewhat of a pacifist; the latter of which being a more recent development than the previous. Wiser than his years, due more in part to the bijuu dwelling within him, he would much rather settle a disagreement with words of compromise than the clash of steel, which has, admittedly, taken him some time to get used to. However, this does not mean that he fears conflict nor that he will shy away from it to protect his people.
[li] He has recently also come to possess the blade Samehada, 'retrieving' it from former owner Kusakage Blanche Kikkawa He also wields the 'chakra-eating' sword thought to be a 'distant cousin' to Samehada, known as Hebi.
[/li][li] Though a master of Taijutsu, he is also the jinchuuriki of the four-tailed Yonbi, and as such possesses the Yoton Kekkei Touta.

He is confident in his own savage sense of honor reflected in a mature and tactical commitment to uncovering as much factual information possible about a particular situation before forming or expressing an opinion. His thoughts can be swayed, but the base ability to judge and be judged by others lies squarely within an empirical and cautiously analytic process. Like many Uchiha, he shares some vestige of racial memory which makes collating and absorbing even the most complex information easy when it directly involves his survival, but a life time of servitude has all but rid him of their characteristic arrogance. He is patient and warm, a sharp contrast to the Village once known as the Bloody Mist.
[li]A pirate nearly all of his life until wrongfully accused of killing his captain and fleeing to Mist, Akuharu had been a genin for less than a month, before competing in, and winning, the Chuunin Exams. He possesses an unnaturally high amount of chakra.
[/li][li]Unlike most Uchiha, who are naturally quite proficient at Fire Release, Akuharu is a master of Suiton.
