Description: The arrow-like projectiles of a crossbow are called bolts. These are much shorter than arrows, but can be several times heavier. There is an optimum weight for bolts to achieve maximum kinetic energy, which varies depending on the strength and characteristics of the crossbow. Bolts do not have fletching, i.e. feathered ends like those commonly seen on arrows. Crossbow bolts can be fitted with a variety of heads.

Description: A weapon stylised on the quarter-staff, Horun no Ōzaru is made of a rare type of Bamboo named (鬼・竹 Oni Take - "Demon Bamboo"). Difficult to find and exclusive to the forests of Kaminari no Kuni; It is actually seen as pest by some locals due to his hardened nature making it difficult to cut and clear away. Approximately 6 feet long, it is the general size of a "short-staff" but maintains the physical property and look of traditional bamboo. The weapon is hollowed from each side giving it a light-weight structure but still maintains great durability and strength - twice that of normal bamboo. As bamboo is already a strong material, Oni-Take is more durable than any wood and as strong as high-quality steel.
