Special: Range of sand appendages depends on the user's 'Sand Dominion' rank. Up to one sand appendage can be created, plus one more each time retrained; however, after every fourth retraining, chakra consumption will go up by one. For each sand appendage, the user can restrict the movement of a single limb. Highest rank known in 'Sand Dominion' determines the amount of chakra required to break free from the entrapment, regardless of the amount of limbs restrained.

Description: Suna Hitomane, a technique based on the creation of simple appendages for the user's own purpose when faced with ranged assaults. The sand limbs are usually shaped with hands for the use of grabbing and detaining opponents, and can even be used to snatch projectiles from mid-air. With this technique in one's arsenal, the mimicry can be birthed from a concise pile of sand on the ground, creating an opportunity from a great distance for catching the enemy off-guard.

Suna Kyojin (Sand Golem)

Special: The size of the golem is equal to half of the user's maximum 'Sand Dominion' range. While the golem is extremely durable and powerful due to it's size and earthen composition, a sufficient amount of critical damage will obliterate the structure. Being comprised of sand, these clones are completely immune to nearly all forms of Taijutsu (aside from unnatural Taijutsu such like Hirutora and other extraordinary techniques). They are capable of binding and restricting objects caught within their bodies, in which the victim will need to exercise a x2 High burst of chakra to free themselves.
Description: Suna Kyojin, the creation of a gargantuan titan composed of sand that causes the minuscule sand clones to appear docile and valueless. Through the string of handseals, the user is capable of heaping massive amounts of sand from the ground and environment into a colossal, powerful titan. This technique is considered to be the dominant successor of the 'Sand Clone' technique, and can be utilized to overwhelm several opponents with it's strength, or can protect the user and other companions from substantial assaults. The towering creation, made entirely of sand, is normally an imperfect replication of the user or a loved one, and with a linked mental connection, the sand golem is undoubtedly a feared creation of the sand.

Sunakouha (Sand Tsunami)

Special: The distance that the sand waves can travel depends on the user's highest 'Saton Ryouuken' rank. The burst of sand measures up to twenty-percent of the user's 'Saton Ryouuken' range. The user can fire one tsunami of sand in a certain direction, plus one more each time retrained. However, after every third retraining, chakra consumption will increase by one.
Description: Sunakouha, one of the most basic forms of sand manipulation, that allows the user to create blasts of sand that charges toward the target with incredible force. The user performs the string of handseals, then slams their foot/hand against the ground, the momentum of the thrust resonating into the surrounding sand and causing it to gather into a miniature tsunami that charges in a straight path toward the intended target. The transition can be performed in either a tower of sand, or through miniature rapids, and can be used as a great diversion, with enough power to knock the opponent back with concussive force if they are unable to evade it.

Sabaku Kasumi no Jutsu (Desert Cloud Technique)

Special: The dust cloud spans a five meter radius, causing hindered visibility (down to a meter) and slight visual irritation for those within it, excluding the user. Each time retrained, the area of the dust cloud expands by five meters, to a maximum of twenty meters; however, after the second retraining, the chakra consumption will increase by one. Dust cloud blocks out all Doujutsu requiring clear visibility, but does not hinder the ability to see chakra. Can be easily blown away by strong winds, such as a powerful Fuuton technique.
Description: Sabaku Kasumi no Jutsu, a technique that grants the user the ability to replicate the same atmospheric effect of a sandstorm, minus the brutal winds. There are two methods to performing this technique; upon forming the necessary handseals, the user can either inhale, allow Saton chakra to conjure thousands of sand particles into their gullet, then exhale vigorously in a specific direction; or the user can simply gather a cluster of dust particles from a nearby source of sand. With chakra sustaining their flight, the gargantuan amount of sand particles remain suspended in mid-air, creating a dense dust cloud that prevents normal visibility and can easily enter another person's eyes and cause slight irritation. The thick cloud proves to be quite advantageous for assassinations or stealthy escapes if needed, but can easily be dispersed by a strong enough Fuuton-based technique.

1. As discussed via IM, the chakra costs there are a staple system for multiple binding techniques on the site, in which you said staff/Genbu were planning to stray away from strength-by-tier systems. However, I assume that system would only be removed due to it not providing an understandable definition of how much damage is being dealt, whereas this technique not only is not damage-inflicting, but is easily-comprehensible as to what can be defended against and what cannot.


2. As discussed via IM, I do not understand how this technique is generic (call it lame if you want, as that is an personal opinion), when it serves a multitude of utility depending on the situation? You said that it's exactly like the Sand Clone technique... yes, it CAN be a clone of you, although not necessarily, but it also doesn't allow the user to shit out multiple replicas to confuse the opponent, and the Sand Golem cannot use jutsu like the user. This technique's sole purpose is for a flexible defense against super-sized attacks or opponents, where you will not be able to receive the same kind of utility from Sand Clone, nor any other defensive technique in Saton at the moment.


3. Yes, each wave's dimensions equal up to 20% of the user's Sand Dominion. How the user will factor that is up to them, but that is the sole limitation of the technique's size.

* Sand Mimicry: I would say this needs an appropriate upkeep cost. Also, upkeep cost should increase as the initial consumption increases as well. But, other than that, this jutsu seems technical fine. Just to make sure chakra increase for this technique should be going up by a 'tier'.

* Sand Golem: Half dominion size is a big 'no' from me. As stated, your golem has great defensive properties and is most likely used for such. Edit size of golem to 1/5th of the users highest dominion level (this is reasonable as defensive encampment walls are approx 5x5x5).

* Desert Cloud Technique: Distance should be capped at twenty meters. Increase chakra cost to x2 mid.

Sand Mimicry: For what reason does this technique require an upkeep cost? This technique is a simple grab-and-bind technique, it shouldn't require the user to dish out constant chakra to restrict like any of the other binding techniques in Saton. Also, you are correct, the technique's cost increases by the tier.


Sand Golem I'm going to have to disagree with this, once again, for balancing issues. The reason for this technique being gargantuan is because of it's defensive capabilities... nerfing the size worse than what is already HALF of the dominion would make the technique less useful than it should be. When you take into consideration like "Call of the Mud Titan" from Doton, in which is supposed to be the predecessor of Saton, it is only reasonable and logical that the capabilities of Saton, even if they are similar in utility to one another in techniques, should be somehow greater in effect. Doton's giant clone caps at 35 meters, while this one caps at 25 meters (unless you have the third mastery); this should be more than balanced.


Desert Cloud - I won't fret about this one, a capped distance is fair enough, and the chakra cost is nothing I cannot cope with either. Modified.
