Empty Hand Discipline
Karate (空手, Karate) is a type of martial art developed in the Mizu no Kuni Islands, developed from indigenous fighting methods called "te" (手, literally "hand") and Goken. A karate practitioner is called a "karateka". Karate is primarily a striking art which uses punching, kicking, knee and elbow strikes, and open-handed techniques such as knife-hands and ridge-hands. Grappling, locks, restraints, throws, and vital point strikes are taught in some styles.
Kumade Dachi Rake Stance
Rank: C
Type: Passive / Supplementary
Range: Self
Handseals: --
Chakra: --
Special: Rake Stance must be used either at the beginning or the end of every Karate technique. Karateka has a five second window after the technique is used in order to perform Kumade Dachi and is near-instant to perform. If not performed, chakra control will be lost, and all Karate techniques will do E rank damage for the rest of the thread. Must be standing to perform.
Description: The secret of the Kumade Dachi is that while it appears to be a proper show of form, it is in fact centering the karateka's core chakra. When utilizing Karate one's chakra will surface in whatever appendage is used during combat. If used in a punch, one's chakra will move from the center to the fist. Done by placing one foot behind the other to maintain a steady balance, the user then covers their torso with both arms before stretching them back into their original fighting stance. [For an example, see 0:04]The Kumade Dachi is used to ensure that after the techniques are used, one's chakra is centered to perform more techniques.
Domain: Goken. Karate.
STRICTLY FOR CUSTOMS REVIEW: I was considering it performing much as it is seen at 2:21 or 0:47.
Kuwa Dachi Hoe Stance
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: See special!
Handseals: --
Chakra: Mid - Mid x2
Special: May only be used with upper body strikes. Allows the user to move 6m per use, plus 1 more each time retrained. May be learned 5 times (4 retrains). Chakra cost raises after every fourth retraining. Must be standing to perform.
Description: Kuwa Dachi is a powerful footwork maneuver that allows the karateka to use chakra to push themselves forward in a powerful step maneuver. This step is incredibly maneuverable and has the capability of adding an incredible amount of gravity to one's technique. While it can only be performed with upper body strikes (punches, chops, elbows etc.) it also has the unique capability of advancing the karateka's striking range by a substantial amount.

Sanchen Dachi Hourglass Stance
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary / Defensive
Range: Self
Handseals: --
Chakra: Mid x2 + Technique Used
Special: Allows the user to charge chakra directly into their appendages in order to imbue them with incredible properties. Must be standing still when performed. Can use taijutsu to attack through weapons, and tangible ninjutsu. Taijutsu technique must be at least equivalent to opponent's attack.
Description: The final, and most important stances in a Karateka's arsenal. The sister technique to the Rake Stance. Where as the Rake Stance gathers and subsides chakra, it is the Hourglass stance that allows it to wander. Allowing the user to channel their chakra into certain portions of their bodies, they will then be able to find the 'sweet spot' of impact to incredibly alter the power in which the human body has been given. This is often seen in the form of Karate Master's chopping techniques. Being capable of cutting bamboo or glass with their bare hands. While this technique has gained popularity as an offensive technique, it was created for self defense to assist in defense and counter-attack. When using this technique, the Karateka can then use their bodies to defend against techniques that surpass taijutsu.

Onibouchou Demon Cleaver
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Arms reach
Handseals: --
Chakra: Mid
Special: Range may be extended by Kuwa Dachi.
Description: After entering Sanchen or Kuwa Dachi, the user then tucks their arms into their core, building chakra into both of their fists equally. They then explode forward into a powerful double punch aimed at the enemy's solar plexus and between their collar bones. This brutal attack will often knock the wind out of their enemy, though if given enough power, has been known to completely crush an enemy's rib cage.
Domain: Goken. Karate.
Oni Toukou Ogre Slayer
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Arms reach
Handseals: --
Chakra: High x2
Special: Gives the user's hand a blade like property for a powerful downward chop. When used, requires a five turn cool down before the technique can be used again.
Description: After entering Sanchen Dachi An incredibly powerful technique used only when a Karateka is forced to slay his opponent. Normally used on an already downed opponent, the Oni Toukou is a swift, and powerful downward chop that, if used with the right technique, is easily capable of decapitating just about anything that the user comes across. An incredibly linear attack, it is in fact quite easy to read, however the power of the technique often makes defense completely useless.

Ine Housha-ki Rice Thrower
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Arm's reach
Handseals: --
Chakra: Mid - Mid x2
Special: Opponent's charging speed = Distance in which they are thrown. An additional Mid can be used to kick the opponent further, doubling distance thrown.
Description: When within a safe distance from the enemy, the Karateka will know that the best possible advantage that one could have is complete domination in terrain. For this reason, this technique allows the Karateka to take his enemy to the ground with a swift, and fluid maneuver utilizing weight distribution of both their enemy and themselves. Used most often when being charged or advanced upon, the user places their feet onto the forward hip of their enemy, while grasping their opponent's collar and sleeve (neck and wrist if neither are accessible) in order to flip them to the ground. As the opponent moves forward, the user will yank them into the same direction, while falling onto their back in order to project the enemy's inertia against them, much like a catapult. While much of this force comes from pure inertia, those with enough physical strength can add additional power to the throw to damage the enemy more, as well as sending them further away.

Takuhanki Rice Cooker
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Arm's reach
Handseals: --
Chakra: Mid
Special: Can only be used after Ine Housha-ki.
Description: After flipping or knocking the enemy to the ground, the Karateka has complete opportunity to capitalize on their enemy's vulnerability. Instead of tossing their enemy behind them, the Karateka will instead roll along with the enemy, until the enemy is on their back. Dazed from the momentum shift, it allows the Karateka a opening for a striking technique. Very useful when fatigued, this gives the user a free hit on their enemy that may give them the change in tide that they require.

Hagane Tejun Steel Step
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: 0 - 15m
Handseals: --
Chakra: Mid + Chakra for strength increasing technique
Special: Makes everyone, save the user, within range lose footing momentarily. Range increases by 3m based on the users strength. Can be used simultaneously with Kumade Dachi. Can only be used with buffing techniques, and does not pertain to style masteries.
D rank strength: 3m
C rank strength: 6m
B rank strength: 9m
A rank strength: 12m
S rank strength: 15m
Description: A powerful foot technique that is often used in conjunction with the Rake Stance. Given that this technique uses very little chakra, and more brute strength, the user may center his chakra while exerting his chakra fully to spread the chakra equidistant around his body. While opening up pathways to begin a Karate technique, it also has an incredible amount of power that is capable of shaking the very earth. Stomping roughly against the ground, the user may often break the ground beneath them, and shaking the very foundation in which they stand. This also leaves a monumental opening for the Karateka, allowing them to capitalize on the surprise tremor to overpower their opponents.

Ōi-ki Throne Breaker
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Arm's reach
Handseals: --
Chakra: Mid
Special: If the first punch hits, the second will more than likely follow.
Description: While traditionally performed during the Hourglass stance, the Throne Breaker is a quick two punch combo while standing in a square position. Using traditional Karate form, the user will spin his fist at the exact moment of the strike to add increased momentum to the punch. This will result in the victim being completely winded, only for the second blow to knock the unguarded opponent off of his feet. A great maneuver to used against a pinned opponent, it is also the most common maneuver in Karate.

Tsunami Harbor Wave
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Arm's reach
Handseals: --
Chakra: High
Special: Stuns opponent for a whole turn if not KOed instantly.
Description: When placing oneself in the path of a Karateka, they must always consider the power that goes into each blow, and the complete capability of a spontaneous knockout. Shinken is such a technique, that if unguarded can quickly turn the tide of battle. When in range, the user of this technique will quickly grasp his enemy, and drag them violently towards them, knocking them off of their balance. During this approach, the user will then use all of their force into either a swift punch or a powerful knee to the opponent's gut. With the incredible power of the Karateka behind it, this strike will avoid any resistance from the bone and will instead work to knock the wind completely out of their enemy to either knock them unconscious or to leave them open for a move that may.
