After having helped the police with their combat oriented skills so recently, Kasumi had decided to take up a mission that would help them in a different way. There were rumors circulating about a gang that had been going around and giving shop owners a hard time. Crimes that included arson, theft and destruction of property, among others. It was Kasumi's job to find this group that hid within Kusagakure and to report her findings back at the Atrium. It was her pleasure, though she wished the mission involved some sort of actual contact with the gang members. She felt an overwhelming urge to beat them to within an inch of their death for all the trouble and pain they had caused.
Unfortunately, that was not her job. In fact, it was nowhere near what she was supposed to do as specified in the mission specifics, so there was no way for her to fudge it without getting into trouble of some kind. She would have to live with just getting their current location and making sure that the proper authorities would be able to bring them to justice. With her abilities as a Sensor and her undeniable charm, as well as her way with men, she was sure that she would be able to find out the gang's new hideout with little to no problem at all. All she needed to do was ask around about anything suspicious and rely on her Sensor skills for confirming or denying possible hideouts.
She started close to the Atrium around a small bar. Places where people drank were always good for information gathering, assuming that the people had reliable information and they weren't too drunk. Seemingly, the only downfall to Kasumi's idea was that the establishment didn't like to let in young girls for fear that they would cause a problem or get hurt. However, a little flirting and some flirty words with the bouncer and the bartender got her over that hurdle, though they might cause a problem later on. It dawned on her that maybe that was exactly the reason they didn't let people like her in. 'Oh well. I'm on a mission and I can't exactly let that stop me,' she thought.
The bar wasn't as packed as she had originally thought that it might be, but seeing as it wasn't even sundown, it made some sense to the young woman. She didn't bother asking the large bouncer or the cheesy looking bartender any questions about the gang because she didn't want them to start thinking that she was there for more than a little alcohol fueled fun, so she started with a patron at a booth near the back. He looked to be in his 30's and coming off of a bad day, and the booth was in a spot where nobody would be paying them any attention, so he was the perfect target. Drunk but not too drunk, and in the mood to not care what ramifications his words might have on himself or others. An information gatherer's dream.
