• Apparel: Her wardrobe, whatever the occasion, is quite revealing, partly to keep long, flowing garments from catching aflame from a carless glob of lava, and partly to show off her physique. A brightly colored (usually red) bikini top covers her bosom, and small denim shorts cover her lower region. Her equipment bags are strapped to her hip, and a sheathed sword can usually be seen strapped over her shoulder. Traditional ninja tabi adorn her feet on normal occasions, however, she does own a variety of combat boots and high heeled shoes for more appropriate venues. She also has a few vests and jackets which she wears, always open down the front, which are changed to reflect the occasion or just to add a bit of variety to her style.
  
  
  
• Body Appearance: Hotaru has a long and lithe frame. She stands a bit above the average height for a kunoichi, and her body is packed with lean muscle. Her form is rather curvaceous, and the first feature most people seem to notice are her rather large breasts. Her skin is a pale peach hue marred with a few scars from training accidents and dyed down her sternum with a bright scarlet tattoo. Long crimson hair falls to the small of her back, the tips of which are highlighted with streaks of blonde. Her hair is usually pulled into a ponytail to keep it out of her eyes, held back by her Iwagakure headband or a few colorful hair ties.

• Personality: Highly eccentric, violent and unpredictable, Hotaru can be a handful for even the most patient individual. Often times, her actions make little sense to those around her, though usually she has an underlying cause for her behavior regardless of how abstract the concept. A glint out of the corner of her eye has alerted her to a expertly disguised tripwire in her path, causing her to pick up a teammate bound over the trap that would have otherwise been activated. Put simply, a combination of keen analytical skills and an impulsive predisposition make her a capable shinobi; for better or for worse.
  
  Along with her observant eye comes a sharp mind. Her brain is constantly churning, though whether it is pertinent to the task at hand is another topic entirely. She finds herself formulating complex battle strategies during meetings and thinking about what to make for dinner when she returns from a mission during a stealthy stakeout. Luckily, her mental distractions are often short lived, letting her avoid too much trouble before she snaps back to a more appropriate state of mind.
  
  With her high degree of intelligence comes a natural distrust in authority. Often feeling that she knows best, Hotaru has a difficult time following orders blindly, and has, on occasion disobeyed orders she doesn’t feel like following. As such, working with her, or working above her, can be a nightmare should she deem ideas and plans posed to be too complicated, unnecessary, or just plain stupid.
  
  Despite her eccentricities, Hotaru is a loyal friend to those that she deems worthy. Though she can be inappropriate, blunt, crass, and juvenile, her skills have proven useful enough to justify keeping her around...at least for now.

Shunshin no Jutsu can be used once per thread, plus once more each time it is retrained.
Description: Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered is a high-speed movement technique, it simple combines high mobility with a distraction to give off the appearance of vanishing - to an observer caught in the optical illusion, it appears as if the user has teleported. Essentially, as their control over the kekkei touta grows, so will the strength of the corrosion of lava, as well as the size and area of control. In their most basic state, the Youton user is able to summon a fixed amount of Lava within an designated area, and further the birthing by controlling the substance to their will.

By coating the area of their body in contact with the normally dangerous substance with Yōton aligned chakra, the user repels the magma and the heat it radiates on a microscopic level.

Description: The Lava Shuriken is a ninjutsu technique that allows the user to utilize their lava powers in order to create deadly projectiles. Using their chakra to control nearby lava, the user will hurl disks of molten magma at their opponent, a bit larger than conventional shuriken. Spinning through the air at high speeds, these disks are deadly in strength, inflicting large amounts of damage to the target and surrounding objects, as well as burning through almost everything.

Description: Flying at the speed of a kunai, the user sends a flowing stream of magma rushing at their target. The user can melt the ground nearby and release a steady stream of magma for one second for each rank of Fushokuzai they posses (D = 1 second, S = 5 seconds). When it is suits the user or when there is no earth to melt, Yōton practitioners can spit magma from their mouths. The width of this stream is 10% of the user's Fushokuzai range.

Special: The area which the screen covers depends on the highest “Fushokuzai” rank known. The screen can be blown away by a Fuuton jutsu of rank C or higher.
Description: The users employs youton in a different manner with Kazan Hai Kichou. He spits forth a ball of lava-covered rock incapable of causing any damage. A thin layer of chakra prevents the lava from immediately burning the rock. Upon contacting any sort of surface the force causes the ball to erupt by breaking the protective layer of chakra, and immediately spreads a layer of volcanic ash in the area by allowing the heat to disintegrate the rock. The breaking of the chakra layer not only allows the two substances to connect, but creates an energetic burst which spreads the volcanic ash. The range which it spreads Depends on Fushokuzai. The ash screen is thick, difficult to see through, but causes no damage aside from slight irritation to the lungs should the ash be inhaled, easily prevented by holding ones breath. Kazan Hai Kichou is not an offensive technique but serves as cover for an escape or as means to support subtlety.

Description: With this technique, the Youton user is able to call upon aid from a perfect copy of themselves. Comprised purely of molten lava, this clone retains the user's movement speed and can share linked mental judgement. Best of all, when struck physically, most items slowly sink into the magma pit that has become their body, corroding away at appendages and weapons equally. Finally, when defeated, the clone explodes into a blob of intense lava that aims to take over the nearest opponent available, burning and melting them in place.

Description: The user will first perform the necessary handseals before channeling Earth and Fire chakra into their mouth, molding the two natures together. Upon firing the user will puff out their cheeks as far as possible, spitting a large blob of corrosive lava at the target(s). This technique can also be manipulated to block doors and narrow exists using the hardening process of lava to prevent a target from escaping. After one turn, any blobs used will hardened.

Special: The range and size of the ash plume depends on the highest “Fushokuzai” rank known. The ash plume can be dispersed with a large enough Fuuton Jutsu of rank B or higher.
Description: Hai Hane works similar to Hai Kichou in that it creates volcanic ash, but rather than merely serving as means for distraction, the ash created through this technique is heated greatly, capable of causing severely damaging burns. The user channels chakra into the ground to burn rock, soil, or anything solid in the terrain. Upon burning what is found on the ground, the pulverized matter is send forth in a wave progressing at twice the speed of a kunai. The ash plume is thick and difficult to see through both for the user and the enemy. One who uses the technique must be careful as the heat can burn oneself like any opponent.

Yōton: Sekkaigyō no Jutsu (Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique)

SPECIAL: Speed and forced required to break out of the hardened quicklime is equivalent to the user's Fushokuzai rank, while the range is equivalent to 1/5th of the user's Fushokuzai range. Once it makes contact with a surface, the quicklime hardens instantly after a half turn delay. Quicklime is extremely reactive to water, causing a volatile exothermic reaction on contact; simply put, when this technique gets wet, it releases heat capable of causing burning damage to those touching it equal to the user's Fushokuzai rank. The heat from the reaction will persist for ten seconds (two turns), inflicting damage each turn.
DESCRIPTION: Sekkaigyō no jutsu is one of the few jutsu within Yōton’s domain that doesn’t melt it’s target outright. After forming handseals, the user spits a cement-like substance onto the field. The quicklime wave can expand and cover a great amount of volume on the field, adhering to objects and solidfying through chemical reactions within a matter of seconds. However, the constricting property of the quicklime isn't the best effect; if the quicklime is ever to come into contact with a sufficient amount of water, another chemical reaction occurs that is significant to the Youton Element. Due to quicklime being extremely reactive to water, it causes a volatile exothermic reaction immediately on contact, releasing a certain amount of heat that can range from first-degree burns, to third-degree burns, to melting straight through the opponent!

Description: Baku Youshouha is a ninjutsu technique utilizing the Youton release, if used correctly. After forming several necessary handseals, the user will summon forth charka, take a deep breath, and release large amounts of lava from their gullet. Eventually it will begin to grow into a large amount of lava, which can destroy a small area, such as a portion of forest, barriers, and eventually cause massive flames due to the properties of the lava. If needed the user can apply a little more charka to ride the wave or walk upon the lava as if it were just simply water to them.

A great deal of steam is created afterwards by the effects of the lava, so should the target still be alive, a follow-up attack can be executed while the target's vision is obscured. Description: Shousen Jutsu is one of the most fundamental yet vital Medical Ninjutsu techniques utilized by medical ninja. The chakra is represented by a faint glow around each of the user's hands, a perfect circle formed around the appendage, with the glow itself letting off a faint, blue hue. The higher the Medic's skill, the stronger the healing process will be. As such, master medics can use their techniques to perform surgeries that otherwise would not be possible.

When the wound finally does occur, the advanced healing process rapidly regenerates the flesh of the wounded area, healing it before the eyes of the user and the opponent; this results in an almost instant-healing of wounds. The larger and more complex the wound is, however, the more chakra is needed to heal it.

Description: Chakra no Mesu is a special Ninjutsu technique used by medical ninjas. After forming the needed handseals, the medic will focus chakra to their hands, creating a distinct, colored hue of chakra. When their charged hands reach the body of their target, they can extend the chakra internally into the targets body to cut and neatly slice their muscles and blood vessels without harming the surface skin. This technique can be used in battle, but because of its hectic nature, the fine precision required for an instant kill is not feasible. Damage can still be done to the vital organs, but the technique should be used carefully in battle. Developed for surgery, it has since taken a unique aspect in battle.

When the ground is hit it is pulverized into minute pieces by the excess shock, which are then scattered like flower petals, giving rise to the name "Cherry Blossom Impact".

Description: Yet another versatile aspect of the Medic's Chakura no Iko style is their ability to produce fine amounts of chakra, at once, for destructive reasons. As they land, another chakra burst serves to cushion their landing, as the area around is slightly destroyed by the sudden displacement of one's chakra to soften the landing.

Description: Kagura Shingan is an advanced Sensory Ninjutsu technique used by all sensors, and serves as the root to the entire sensory tree. After a series of handseals, the sensor closes their eyes and uses their inate ability to detect chakra in order to determine the location of their opponent by the faintest of chakra trails, as well as discerning the size of an approaching unseen force, and even their chakra capacity.
