Having caught up to Ranshi, Yui was relieved that he did in fact no where the tower had been despite the short and dizzying route they had taken. It hadn't lasted that long, but winding through the streets had helped her get a better feel for her new home and traveling about it. She gazed up at the tower with reverence for it in all its worth. It was stagnant and as timeless as the village that found itself constantly swept in war, and just like the village it had remained rooted to it's place of origin. "Too dangerous to be left alone, too important for destruction, too powerful to be contained." It was an excerpt from the only journal her father wrote that she managed to find. He had a way with words that he didn't have with his children.
She patted Ranshi on his shoulder as she stepped beside him and smiled up at him, "I'll be damned, for a minute I thought we were going to wind up in another country. You had be worried there for a while Ichi boy but you sure know what you're doing when you get to work don't you?" He seemed a little perturbed, but Yui said nothing. Still waters run deep.
"You're absolutely right, hold on a second?" She beamed brightly tearing the map from her pocket and stepping behind him quickly before setting the map on his back like table. She marked the route they had taken as the swiftest from the tower to the gate, noted buildings that were destroyed and needed repair, as well as the points of interest they had passed along the way. "There we go, all done. Well then let's go turn this in then Ichi!" She flashed a bright grin and stepped ahead of him making her way into the tower to turn in her assignment.
