Satomi is taller than the average twelve year old, male or female, and the doctors expect her to be even taller once she's finished growing. She can be a bit intimidating to others because of this (she's self-conscious of that). Satomi isn't at all ugly, with her long brown hair and unusual eyes, but most would easily overlook her because of her glasses and the books that constantly hang about her. She doesn't like bright, girly colors, and thus she avoids them at all possible costs, opting for more subdued, neutral colors or jewel tones. She carries a pouch filled with small weaponry (like kunai and shuriken) on her hip at all times, tucked carefully away beneath her favorite long blue jacket. Light on her feet, she feels constrained in heavy shoes, and so she wears dainty flats any time she isn't training or on a mission. As a genin, her hair is long, but as she grows older she decides it looks too juvenile and cuts off a fair bit of it.

Satomi is sort of withdrawn, for the most part preferring to keep to herself and to her books. It's not a good idea to speak to her when she's annoyed, which she often is, nor is it a good idea to insult her -- even jokingly. She's a stickler for proper language and etiquette, and will leave the table to avoid hearing noisy eaters. When she does leave the presence of others, she delves deep into a thick tome and won't come up for air unless it's to drink or try something she's learned in her book. If you haven't been able to tell already, she's the type of person who is always hungry for knowledge, and spends the majority of her time storing up knowledge for use on a rainy day. She does better with complicated, brain-intensive maneuvers than with straightforward action. She's not one you want to get on the bad side of (which is surprisingly easy to do), but she generally gets along well with children and peers whom she has deemed worthy of her precious time, being funny and playful at heart.
