A dark figure stood in the midst of the midst of the arena, and that figure was I. The abandoned arena encased me and my opponent, a fellow Sunagakure Nin. I don't know much about him, however, I do know he is not one to be taken lightly. A cool breeze would flow in from the top, ruffling my raven locks that were once tucked ever so neatly away.

My hands slipped into the concealment my cloak would provide, in it I fumbled around, carefully tieing and securing ninja wire, about twenty feet worth to my beloved ninjato, specifaclly the hilt. I then continued my fumbling by pulling out two explosive tags, and placed it on the inner linings of my coat and a kunai I would hold in my left hand, with the sleeve of the cloak concealing the hidden projectile. I quickly imbued Fuuton chakra into the projectile. My ninjato peeked out of my sleeve, however, making itself quite apparent. I smiled, as my plan would soon quickly unfold.

Description: One of the simplest Fuuton techniques, this supplementary technique allows the user to take any secondary/projectile weaponry they have on them and coat them in Fuuton chakra. This allows the user to shoot them at high speeds under the wind manipulation, adding rotation and tumbling power to increase the speed of normal weapon attacks, as well as its deadliness.

[Icarus]

The arena was one with much foliage, a circular ditch mottled green and dirt yellow. The basin comprising about 35X35 of the arena with the surrounding plateau'd area littered with trees and large rocks. The necessary height to jump to reach the upper layers about one meter. The cool air that flowed in by some unknown mechanism from the shape of the dome arena was becoming wild, and smelled of humidity. Clouds drew in as if to rain within a short amount of time. Two globes of white observed the arena. His body wrapped in tight layers of cloth with a mesh shirt underneath and two waraji on his feet, dressed like a true ninja.

He placed his hands on the hilt of his sword, his grand nodachi as he prepared to intercept a volley of projectiles if they were released as he saw one being liberally coated in chakra, no doubt to increase speed of some sort or perhaps piercing power. In the case that more than one including this kunai was thrown he would evade the most dangerous one, this kunai and deflect if he needed to others. He was going to slowly make his way to the area with cover, on this open turf he was vulnerable as he was a primarily close quarters combat man. When the enemy attempted to flush him out with chakra or items one would become low and then he would move in for the kill. He slightly bent his knee ready to spring one way or another. His byakugan would help him interpret. He chose to only keep one hand on his sword to enable a back up plan, his free hand near his storage of projectiles.

He was a Hyuga, a fact made apparent by his vieny, lavender eyes. This was bad, I would have to dispell his fuuton chakra before the man caught wind of his hidden kunai. With that, the chakra that once coated the kunai was now gone. Good thing I had some prior experience with these white eyed fools. With lightning fast speeds, I threw my ninjato ten meters infront of me, which stuck perfectly into the ground, and at the same time sprinting extremely quickly towards the sword. I gave a strong leap to the hilt of the sword which poked out from the ground, and furthered my bound, using the ninjato as a boost into the air.

As I soared into the air, my kunai would be revealed at last, and finally thrown at the man with all my might. It sliced the air, refracting the sun's blinding rays around as it moved. I would then flick my right wrist, tugging at the ninja wire connected to my ninjato. The ninjato would then free itself form the ground, and fly through the air into my grasp. I hit the floor with a thud, and calculated my approximate distance from the man, about 9 meters away. I would make sure to stay atleast 10 meters away from this man, as I knew that these Hyuga's are master taijutsu users.

Kaiten Shuriken chakra dismissed.

He watched him extinguish the chakra, he now knew he was aware of his ability to use the byakugan but this was in itself a truism. everyone knew of the abilities of his bloodline, the only difference would now be that he would fall into his trap of running out of attacks and projectiles useable at a distance. He saw him run forward and anticipated a simple toss of the kunai, he would not be stupid enough to come in close for taijutsu, nor would he throw an amplified kunai now. It would come down to either the kunai or some other ranged attack, he knew him as an uchiha they all had fire jutsu and as he looked around him he was at the same time able to see upwards, the clouds darkening as if to form a storm.

A sword flew out, but as it landed he saw a wire behind it and surmised it would come back to its owner at some time but for now it was not a threat. He leaned in to the right ever so slightly as he saw the man use the sword as a pedestal, and then his hand pull back the same one with the kunai, only one he thought their must be something special still about it, for all he knew there could be a latent jutsu on it. As he completed the swing motion there was no turning back now. He bolted to the right, closing in on the plateau, the kunai about four meters behind him now he saw a tag as it landed in the ground. As he suspected and the man still on his way to him he bounded towards the edge of the arena, unable to cover the full distance he spun on his feet turning about face with one knee slightly dipping but nowhere near kneeling yet as he put his hand on his sword. He was about seven meters from the kunai and close to twelve away from the man. It wouldn't be long before he was in the cover of the boulders and trees.

I watched my opponent dodge the attack with much ease, as I expected. Instantly, my left hand snatched up yet another deadly point of iron, this one dawning a extravagent tail. I put my middle finger through the loop to carry it, and proceeded to dash in a diagonal path 5 meters to the other kunai, simaltaneously coating the kunai already in my hand with Fuuton chakra. My index finger slid perfectly into the other hole of the kunai, and with that, I slammed my foot down to abruptly stop me in my tracks, and released the first kunai on my middle finger, which would zip at lightning fast speeds exceeding the norm of kunai towards the Hyuga's chest. Dodging or deflecting this one would be near impossible at this range.

Noticing of course the fluctuation of chakra, and of course the drawing of the kunai he knew he also was going to do this as he was able to watch him in his vision. He had limited time to react so he went with his first instinct, he would not sacrifice a defensive move if it meant that he would lose his pace toward the treeline, his only hope to allow him to strike down the uchiha. All he needed, and he knew this was one touch perhaps to the legs or to one of his hands. If he could cut out seals or movement he would win, he was extremely confident in his close quarters combat. He tumbled forward and with one knee down drew his sword, immediately clashing with the kunai, deflecting it with a bit of a shake to his hand but it was only faster than a regular kunai, nothing he couldn't handle, his eyes easily followed the path and projectile. He rose from his stance and dove into the brush, taking immediate cover behind a boulder and peering over it, his eyes locked on the uchiha who no doubt was close behind him he was taking a intercepting path after all. If he went for a projectile he would take cover behind the rock obviously unless he perceived it as too powerful, if he tried to jump over or to the side of the rock he would simply roll right or left accordingly to a different side of the boulder if from the top he would intercept. He had to be wary of the sword, he expected some sort of wired assault as possible. He rolled a pill shaped item into his outside pocket able to be utilized in milliseconds if needed as he prepared for the best and the worst situations.

Description: A defensive nature of fighting, all Iajutsu practitioners will tend to stand in closed positions, leaving little openings and making sure to make the least amount of wasted movement possible so as to remain solid like a rock. Once the swordsman has understood the basics of fortification, they move on to more complex defensive patterns.

All seeing eye- as if! It couldn't pick up on something as obvious as an explosive tag, this clan wasn't worth my time. With the man on his knees, it would be quite an extent to get away from the blast area of the kunai, and since the kunai was only knocked about 1 meter away from the man, it still gave 4 meters of explosion range.

Smugly, I clasped my hands together, my fingers lapsing an intermingling with each other to harmoniously create that of the snake sign. A smirk came across my face written with the satisfaction of my opponents demise. The explosion would surely prove to be of concussive force at this range, and with no way to brace himself, the Hyuga would take the full extent of the blast. An ember of flickering flames would spread to embue the Hyuga with it's fiery wrath.

With the explosion making contact, everything was going as planned, however, I still kept my gaurd up, just incase he had anything up his sleeves.

LAST NOTE

You wouldn't have nearly enough time to draw your sword OR block/dodge or anything really. We're only 7 meters away, and it had kaiten shuriken on, so it was twice as fast. It would be practically instant. I'll let it go and I'll just blow your ass up .

The kunai you are throwing did not have a tag embedded into it, so... Unless your talking about the first one

which would not really be four meters behind me it would be as stated kinda like 7 meters away

I asked and seven meters is out of range as is six thought I would still feel the blast and heat (out of range meaning out of damage range) But I can settle on perhaps minor concussive damage equivalent to being shoved off balance.

Im not seven meters away from you im 12, and even if your running towards me I am still at the same time running, the roll as it is is a single somersault so its still movement and takes little time since im going from a forward run into the roll. My iaijutsu which involves drawing my sword quickly (in a defensive manner according to my tech) is C rank so naturally it should trump a D rank. In addition I am using a defensive tech of equivalent or D rank nature whose purpose is to deflect attacks so still D+C > D tech. Furthermore I would have seen you draw and apply chakra to your kunai and you should take in account drawing time, handseal time, applying chakra, throwing. All of this can be seen by my byakugan unless you are in the air observing the top of my head from a certain angle which is unseen by me. So, with this all together I would like to you to edit your post sir.
