The small boy ran forward, a large smile on his face.
He came up upon the woman, whom seemed to only be in her late twenties. He
grabbed an hugged her leg. Then gazed up at her with his innocent eyes. She let
out a caring smile an patted the young boy on the head.
"Mother, you
should have seen it. A squirrel just let me pet it. But it ran away when it must
have sensed you coming."
"Oh, well that's nice.
But I found a small river where we can clean up. Make sure you have
everything."[/div]
Fushichô was raised in the forest from a
very young age. His mother, who was a runaway fugitive for killing her own
husband, took care of the innocent, young boy. He still had a relatively good
childhood, a nurturing and caring mother that taught him from his vigorous
surroundings and from her own knowledge of ninjutsu. She made sure to teach
Fushichô physical restrain and to be passive so that he would not be harmed
recklessly. She taught him to only protect himself and attack only when he
needed to. Fushichô never knew why he and his mother lived like they did and he
didn't relatively care either. As long as they were together, he was just
fine.
He nodded and
walked back to the tree to pick up a small bag that he had laid next to him
while he rested. A bath sure sounded nice to him. He turned around and walked
back to his mother with a playful step to his walk. They both disappeared into
the light that was beyond the trees. As they vanished, a lone small squirrel
appeared from the brush. It sat up on it's hind legs and peered where the two
had disappeared. Then unexpectedly there was a small explosion of smoke, and a
human appeared where the squirrel had just been sitting a moment before. His arm
raised as he touched the side of his neck.
"The targets have been
located. Currently heading to the river located one kilometer from the forest's
edge. I will continue my actions, an exterminate the two when the situation
provides the best opportunity."
There was a small static coming from
his ear, more then likely the person on the other end communicating back to him.
As the static stopped he began to stand up. He was dressed in the outfit used in
old times by shinobi. It was an all black outfit, while useful in this darkened
forest, once he stepped outside, he would need to tread more carefully. In a
showing of great bodily speed he vanished, kicking up the loose leaves on the
ground. It was more then clear he meant nothing but ill will towards the mother
and son. An assassin ?!
The ninja appeared once again. This time atop a
rock in a large field. A long scarf wrapped around his neck flailed in the
slightly strong wind. His vision fell upon the river a bit in the distance. He
couldn't stand out in the opened too much closer, unless he wanted to be notice.
He pulled out a small pair of binoculars. He lifted them to his eyes and scanned
the river side. It didn't take him to long to find the targets. They were
already undressed and the mother was washing the boy's back. He brought the
binoculars down an slide them back into his equipment pouch.
"It's now
or never. But that mother is a cautious one. No doubt she already suspects me
being on her tail. Have to make this fast."
The ninja flipped down
off the rock into the tall grass below. He raced through the field with speed
comparable to that of a cheetah. The mother of course had noticed something in
the distance, whether it was her imagination or if it was someone, she moved
herself closer to the riverbed, to be able to grab a weapon faster. The boy
looked up, an she just gave him a calming smile in response.
The black
shadow appeared from out of the tall grass in a flash. He was lucky she didn't
notice him as he passed open ground to take a path to the waterfall top above
them. This position was the best place for him to attack, without much reaction
to him. But this woman was quite a handful. She alone befell a many shinobi who
came before him. But much of that was because of her looks. The older men let
their emotions get the best of them, and they were killed. But he was different.
Temptation, love, caring, all such emotions have been destroyed within him. Such
was the life of an assassin. A life of loneliness.
Despite the skill of
the woman, there was one thing she would have no defense against. This was much
the reason he was chosen for this job. All he needed was only a second, and it
would be over. She would be disabled or even killed, then he would just finish
off the boy.
He was about to begin his plan when a voice called from
below.
"I know your up there. Please quit the games.
If you wish to kill us, then just turn back. There was more before you and they
failed. You should just turn around and return to your master, and tell him what
he hopes for if futile."
Without hesitation the ninja stepped
out into the light. He stood upon the edge of the cliff next to the waterfall.
The woman looked with bit of surprise. Either this ninja was a very small man,
or he was but only a child, from his size no older then her own son. She could
tell they were getting serious about this. But to send a child into a mission in
which many men before him have failed. It was too cruel.
"My "Master"
as you put it never sends me on a futile mission. Although there was some
difficulty tracking you down and getting you into a situation in which I could
easily dispose of you. Your futility ends here, woman."
With a quick
smooth motion the shinobi slammed his left palm into the sheath on his back. The
hilt of his blade ejected from the other end right into his awaiting right hand.
He rotated the blade to a reverse hold. At the same time the woman jumped out of
the water, doing a handstand flip over top her bag, grabbing a pair of short
blades in each hand. She slid slightly across the grassy field as she readied
her blades, caring not a bit that she was far from "decent" to be fighting. She
began to raise her head as she heard what seemed to be laughing coming from the
shinobi boy.
"Ha ha ha. Did you actually believe that we would be
clashing head to head. My my, you fail to see that I am much more skilled then
those fools who came before me. All I need is this..."
The woman
inched a bit closer. Much to her surprise she began to see something happening
to the boy's right eye. It began to darken and turn into a deep black. But then
just as the eye began to change, it seemed to shift yet again. This time into a
solid golden color, as well his left eye began to copy the actions of the other.
At what seemed like the end the boy's eye had become much more fiercer, the
sheer sight of them sent chills down the woman's spine, an made her body hair
stand on end.
There was no doubt in her min. This boy had a Kekkei
Genkai. He was right she was out matched, for she was but a normal woman
protecting her child. But for that reason she must still fight, and not turn her
back. She quickly took a step forward ready to take a leap at her assassin.
Everything fell silent. There was no movement. No matter how hard she tried she
couldn't move. Then came something strange... she couldn't breath. Without
resistance she fell to her knees grasping her throat. Then she heard something
faint in the sky above her. When she lifted her head, all she could see was a
flash. Then she could feel a quick but painful chill through her boy. Then
nothing. Her child sat there in fear as he watched his stand up and walk towards
him. As she reached the edge of the river, she fell to the ground. Within
seconds her boy began to fall to pieces, her head splashing into the cool water
of the river, turning it to a crimson red. The boy lurched forward ready to yell
out for his mother, but then he felt a sharp pain, then he felt nothing, and
could only see darkness.
The young shinobi whisked his blade out of the
throat of the little boy and ran through the water with a slash to wash the
blood off. He walked across the water to the rest of the woman's boy that hanged
on the edge of the river.
"You should have known those breasts
wouldn't win against every opponent you came across. Fool."
The
shinobi pressed his boot against the remains of the woman and with a quick push,
he sent the body falling into the river to be washed up with the current. He
walked up to the woman's belongings and searched through them. After a moment he
pulled out a few items and placed them into his jacket. He then stood up and
placed his hand on his neck. A sure sign he was reporting in.
But then he
look back to his disbelief the body of the young boy was no longer there. Where
he body should have been a pile of logs washed away into the river. A
substitution ! So the boy had escaped, thanks to the cunning of his mother
who lay there dead.

Fushichô from the age of six wandered and
struggled, only surviving from his mother's vigorous training. The forest made
him strong. He was a proud shinobi. He was later caught by shinobi from
Otogakure but since his mother was already executed, before his eyes, he was
freed from all charges and allowed to stay with the village, becoming a ninja
there. [/ul]
