PHYSIQUE
Masamune has a relatively large frame, albeit in height rather than muscular bulk. He stands at 6 feet and 2 inches, towering over most if not all kids, and even some adults are shorter than him. His legs and arms are slim, his muscle structure very lean yet firm. His body boasts speed and reach as compared to brute force. His skin is pale, having been inside for a good portion of his life in the academy, and also due to the skies often being cloudy.
His hair and eyes are both a shimmering purple, almost like a lilac when it's purple color blooms vibrantly. Even his eyebrows are purple, albeit slightly darker than his hair, which stops on the way down his back when it reaches the shoulder blades. It's very soft to the touch, and is tended to often, however he does not style his hair. He lets his bangs and hair go after it is brushed, only hoping to keep knots and frizz out of it. He knows his hair and eye color is somewhat a rarity, and he has tried to be as humble about it as possible. It is almost girly, especially since it is his mother's hair color, although he has a side in him that simply couldn't live without it. It reminds him of who his mother is, what she has done for him, and how he will never forget her, even if his hair is the only reminder left besides pictures in a frame.
As for the traits he takes from his father, such as his height, Masamune also has large hands and feet. This allows him a wider area of grip, and likely a more firm grip when he is wielding something in his hands. He has even had to buy kunai with a large handle due to this hereditary trait passed down to him. Regardless, these traits are nothing to Masamune compared to the Nara clan techniques his father taught him. Due to his tall frame, Masamune casts a fairly large shadow, aiding him with his shadow techniques.

HISTORY
Masamune's family had been a descendant of the original Konohagakure Nara clan family tree. They were seeking a less hostile land, where they could settle down with little interference. They headed for Kumogakure, although they had barely any idea how to find it. It took such a long time to journey from Konogakure to Kumogakure that of the 6 total Nara clan members, three female, and three male, only one of each had survived. Luckily, it was Masamune's parents who had endured the ferocious adventure, eventually finding themselves climbing a mountain range whose peeks reached past the clouds, almost as if they pierced the heavens. Masamune's father Atsushi Nara, and his mother Asuka Nara, had managed to make it to the Kumogakure gate. At first they had trouble gaining trust, and at first weren't even allowed to enter. But soon they gained pity, telling of the other two couples that had died on the way here. turning back was suicide, and so their pleads were answered as a woman came to the gates, allowing them into the graceful village. They thanked her and bowed on their knees, trying to show as much respect as possible. However, they didn't reveal that they were of the Nara clan.
It didn't take long before they had work, jobs, and chores to accomplish. They didn't have headbands, and many wondered how the two could have gotten here without being Shinobi. More often than not, civilians perished on their way to Kumogakure. Regardless, this village was known for having bred insanely powerful Shinobi, those who could take the term "One Man Army" to heart. However, they were a different kind than they had seen, rough people, large, muscular. Atsushi and Asuka were a sight for sore eyes, easily distinguished as foreigners. However, in due time, Atsushi revealed his powers to those who would try to start trouble with him, and get things from him through aggressive means of persuasion. Soon enough, they stopped messing with Atsushi, and Asuka in-turn, as they wanted them to join their Shinobi army. Atsushi pleaded that he and Asuka stay inside the village, at most becoming Genin. He explained they had left their home to escape such risks of war, battle, and death. They wanted to have a peaceful life, with their family. He explained there was no more place as perfect for such a goal than Kumogakure. As so, they were forced to become Genin and work for the village's benefit, although requiring payments as usual.
Once they were officially Genin, Asuka and Atsushi became intimate, as they were able to rest their heads peacefully at night and spend time together without outside worries or distractions. Discovering her pregnancy, Asuka was put on restricted duty, incapable of doing any missions or other tasks that would trouble her during this time. She still had other ways of making money, having a unique gift with sewing. She made clothes, all kinds and colors, and they would be off the racks by the end of the week. She didn't know if it was them being courteous, knowing of her pregnancy, or if they actually liked what she sewed. Regardless, she was happy, doing what she enjoyed in tranquility. Atsushi had begun taking on more difficult missions, although he still did not leave the village. He felt like he had to bring in more money to keep up with their needs, especially since his baby was on the way.
It took a time of 9 months, but on April 20th, 1994, their first son was born. They had both decided on a name before birth, Masamune Nara if it was a boy, or Matsuki Nara if it was a girl. When their child was ready to be born, the two parents were inside the Kumogakure hospital with smiles on their faces, Asuka showing some pain as well. They held hands tightly, although Asuka's grip was awfully more harsh, but they were both excited to see their child. As soon as he was delivered, they saw his purple eyes. Much like his mother, who had purple hair and eyes, Masamune had her eyes, but his hair was not growing yet. However, it was a boy, taking after the father on gender. Asuka held the baby boy first, Atsushi kneeling beside the bed and watching her hold the baby and play with him. He was starstruck from what was happening before him, and his eyes were getting ready to tear up. Needing to continue operating on Asuka, the baby was handed to Atsushi as they pushed her bed over to where there surgical tools were. In a short amount of time, Asuka was stitched up, and ready to see her baby again. Atsushi told the baby "there's mommy" and moved the baby's hand to wave at her. Asuka smiled and laughed lightly, holding hr arms out for the child. Placing it in her arms, Atsushi pulled a chair over and sat at her right side until she was able to leave the hospital with him. He was a loyal, caring person. The shirt on his own back was yours if you would just ask kindly. Asuka knew this, and she wasn't always a loyal person. But with him, she felt like there was no other way to be, other than loyal.
Growing up, Masamune was unlike many others. By appearance, maturity, and his level of intelligence. The other kids weren't stupid, but Masamune had a knack for learning, and quickly. By age 5 Masamune was learning things that kids two years older than him were learning and doing. At age 10 Masamune was on the level of a 15 year old. At age 15, his mind grew to the intelligence of a 20 year old. He was wise, adaptable to any means of study, almost too much for his age. His father's mentality had stuck in him, along with his mother's immature traits. He was even getting a new found interest in girls, which he was able to confront his mom and dad about openly. He was not shy, in fact he was rather open about it to his parents and others. But then he learned he should be more secretive, and less revealing of his sexuality and sexual interests. It may be rude, or encroach the law to be too assertive of himself in that manner.
Regardless, Masamune had been going to the Kumogakure academy at age 12. He went for four years, reaching age 16 by the time of his graduation. He became a Genin easily, and was told he wouldn't have any trouble finding a team. He had the brains of a capable Shinobi, but he had to prove himself as a capable fighter. For two years, reaching age 18, Masamune neglected to get into a team, on behalf of his parents choice, and his own. He was a Genin though, and at age 18 he felt now was the time to get involved in the Shinobi world. Currently, Masamune is trying to get himself assembled into a team, one with good assets. The leader didn't matter to him, because all of them were suitable, because they coudl all teach Masamune at least a thing or two. But he wanted teammates that could teach him a few things, allow his open-minded outlook on life to expand further. Now was the time to make his life into something great.

Description: A shuriken, like kunai, is one of the more basic weapons employed by ninja of all classes. They are sharpened, four-pronged metal stars, no more than a few inches long, and are extremely useful for throwing. Although small, they can be used to distract, or, if accurate enough, to kill. They have an open circle in the center, used for grabbing with a finger, to avoid cutting oneself, or to put thread through. The circle is also a benefit in aerodynamics, as it ensures more accurate trajectories.

Special: The rank of the scroll determines the number of items, elements, or techniques that can be sealed within them. Likewise, the rank also determines how many accessory slots the scroll takes up (without an extension item purchased). It should be noted that elements being sealed inside of the scrolls are raw and uncontrollable, and not in unnecessarily large quantities. The "burst" of element extends roughly five meters fanning out from the scroll's open face, and can harm the user in certain situations. Likewise, the scroll must be open in order to summon the element in question.

Description: Scrolls remain one of the most important pieces of equipment in a ninja's arsenal. Because of their size, multiple scrolls can be carried into battle in the front pouches of a flak jacket or in a satchel. This will save space and not sacrifice a much needed piece of equipment which may be required later. In the end, the scroll is useful because it allows the ninja to summon creatures, people and items to their aid. There are also larger scrolls that ninja keep on their back, these are notably A and S-ranked.

Uptempo Offense:
Masamune knows that staying on the offensive is a good thing, and you want to make your opponent feel like they don't have time to waste. Keeping up the pressure with his weapons or jutsu, Masamune hopes to keep his opponent on their toes, frightful of what might happen if they stand still.
Swift Mobility:
Masamune is a slim and slender figure, with a muscular structure that boasts speed rather than power. His weapons move with agility and speed that is hard to match, making cleans cuts at many different angles, even in rapid succession. He prefers speed rather than power, very much like envious of lightning and it's quick strike, but he soon hopes to be able to yield the power of lightning behind each swing of his blade, or hand.
Nara Ninja:
Masamune has very much inherited the mind of a Nara clan member. Albeit they are lazy, they come with intelligence that surpasses many others. They are scholars of combat, understanding tactics and strategies that are being used against them, and having many others up their sleeves. With the appropriate Shinobi assets and jutsu arsenal, the Nara, along with Masamune, are capable of making the difference between losing and winning a battle. Superior-minded, it is wise not to try out-smarting them as your primary approach.

Kage Mane no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique developed by the Nara clan. Its original purpose was as a skill to help delay any pursuers. After forming the needed hand seals, the clan member is able to manipulate their shadow along any surface. By using other nearby shadows they can further extend the reach of their shadow; however, they are limited to the surface area of the original cast shadow. Once the clan members shadow reaches the target shadow, it will attach itself. While attached, the target will be frozen, only able to replicate in mirror form the actions of the clan member. If the clan member is low on chakra, the Kage Mane will falter and the shadow will return to its normal form.
Note: The duration of Kage Mane depends on the Ninja's rank. At Genin, the duration is 1 full turn. At Chuunin, the duration is 2 full turns. At Jounin, the duration is three full turns. Keep in mind that a full turn constitutes the end of the caster's next turn. Like the Yamanaka technique, once you’re caught, you’re caught. This technique can be overpowered by a drastic release of chakra, such as the Gates or a Bijuu.
Kageyose no Jutsu (Shadow Gathering Technique)

After performing the necessary handseals, the user is granted exceptional control over their shadow. Basically, this technique takes the user's own shadow and transforms and stretches it into countless thin tentacles, which are then used to grab objects and pull them in. Also, one can skillfully make use of the tentacle-shaped shadow tendrils by using them to lift up and throw weapons like kunai and such. It is accurate enough to even make the tentacles go through tiny holes.
Note: The user must remain still while using this technique. A maximum of five tendrils can be created per cast.

Kawarimi no Jutsu is an Academy Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the user will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object - generally a block of wood, but sometimes even another person - the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosvie tags can be attached to the placement for an added surprise!
Note: Switch is near-instantaneous. The technique can only be used once per turn.

Henge no Jutsu is an Academy Ninjutsu technique. After performing a set of handseals, the user takes on the form of another object, whether it be an animal, plant, or inanime object. This transformation is exactly like the genuine article, so it is impossible to tell the two apart without special methods.
Note: The user can transform themself into an object of average, small, or miniature size. This means that one cannot Henge into a bijuu, summon, or other gigantic object.
Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique)

Bunshin no Jutsu is an Academy Ninjutsu technique. After performing a set of handseals, the user creates an intangible copy of themself. This clone has no substance, so it is not able to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy. It is mainly used in combination with other ninjutsu. These clones can be easily distinguished by opponents with doujutsu, but even opponents with normals eyes can tell tell it apart from the original if they are observant, as the clone does not have a shadow and will not disrupt the area aroun themself with their movement. As soon as this clone comes in contact with an opponent or gets attacked, it will dispurse.
Note: The clone's movement speed is equal to the user's. Bunshin cannot mold chakra to perform jutsu, nor can they physically harm an opponent.
Kakuremino no Jutsu (Cloak of Invisibility Technique)

Kinobori no Waza is an Academy Ninjtusu technique. By focusing a small amount of chakra to the bottom of their feet, the user can climb a tree (or other vertical wall) without utilizing their hands. This technique has a dual purpose, since it is the perfect way to increase skills with chakra control - if the stream of chakra is too weak, the user will loose their footing; if the stream is too strong, the user will be pushed away from the surface.

Suimen Hokou no Waza is an Academy Ninjutsu technique, and is a variant of Kinobori no Waza. By emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of their feet and using this repllent force, the user is able to walk across the water's surface. This technique is vastly more difficult than its counterpart because the amount of chakra that needs to be focused changes constantly, but it helps to build chakra control in the user. After much practice, it is even possivle to 'skate' across the water's surface instead of just walking or running.
Note: The user must know Kinobori no Waza in order to use this technique.

Kai is a Ninjutsu technique which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.

The electric influence that exists over the human body and its muscles allows one to control the later through unconventional methods, including through the means of chakra. After charging a small electric shock in the user’s hands, one can approach their victim and place the charged hand onto a limb or muscle on their body, unleashing the pent up shock and rendering the aforementioned target useless for the rest of the turn. Although simple, it’s highly effective when the user is faster than the victim, and can outmaneuver them as they strike. Also highly effective for keeping captives in place!
Note: If used on a person’s head, they will be knocked out for a single post. Limbs are numbed for a whole turn. Stunning effect cannot be stacked. The user must touch the victim with their hand to achieve the desired effects.
Matoudai Zeusu (Strike of Zeus)

Named after the fabled imaginary leader of the sky and thunder, this technique allows the user to feel like Zeus himself as they summon a tight bolt of electricity in their hand, similar to a javelin, so that they could throw it with appeasing accuracy. The bolt will move through the sky quite fast, and carries deadly accuracy in the right hands. Upon making contact with the target, it immediately bursts into a vertical cylinder storm that surrounds the victim and delivers a plethora of constant shock damage.

Kaze Dangan is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Wind Element. The user performs a set of handseals, ending with Tiger, and holds it. A construct of condensed wind, bullet-shaped and -sized, forms at the tip of the fingers. By aiming at the opponent as if using a gun, they can fire this streamlined pellet at high speeds.
Note: The bullet travels in a linear path after being fired. Proper aiming is required, so opponents farther away are less likely to be hit. This technique was created by Addy.
