FIRST STEPS

“Hault, state your name and business.” The ANBU guard was certainly making his presence known she thought. He towered over the petit girl however it didn’t matter nor did the ANBU’s attempt to intimidate her work. Looking through his mask, her soft and soothing voice graced the ears of the man, “My name is, Hishida Yori, I come from the village, genin rank. I’m here to formally take on a mission.”

The guard knew what she was talking about and stepped to the side letting her in. As, Yori turned the knob of the door. Upon entering the Kusakage tower; ground floor, Yori was more than thrilled since today she would be going to accept a mission. Her beautiful appearance graced the room as she came in contact with the front doors of the building. Opening them she took a few steps in and gazed around, her angelic eyes scanned the room for a subordinate or someone who could point her within the right direction. It had been so long since, Yori had been here that she had a mental wipe of how to get to everywhere.

The first steps in…

Step by step, she was creeping closer and closer to the centre of the room. The black carpet and white walls were certainly odd and remaindered, Yori of the hospital. She found the assistant in the corner of the room and proceeded to walk towards her with a slow stride yet her movements looked like flowing water. Each movement was perfectly sinked with the next and as she made her way to the desk a hand raised from her left slide and as she was in arms reach from within the desk, Yori planted the arm on it and looked the assistant in the eyes or would have if her hair didn’t get in the way. Parting it to the side, Yori spoke again with that whisper of a voice, “I would like to take on the C-ranked mission: Client. I believe no one else has offered to escort Mr. Roji as of yet, and it is such a simple task is it not?” Giving a warm smile or semi-smile the beautiful maiden known as Hishida Yori waited for the answer. If it was a no, Yori would just offer to take on another mission however due to the girls pettiness and how fast she was—not to mention that she had an accurate senbon throw. Hishida Yori was perfect for the job or so she thought.

And because of that, each time he steps out of the house, he's bombarded with threats, rotten vegetables and fruit, and has one or twice been almost attacked on the streets. Being wealthy can't buy you popularity all of the time, but it can purchase a bodyguard if only for a temporary time.
OBJECTIVE: Escort Roji throuought Kusa as he does day-to-day things, buy groceries, visit the park and any tasks that require him to leave his home. Protect him from people who might want to hurt him!

Watching as the young girl made her way towards the desk, if anything he was expecting for her to take one of the easier missions, maybe helping some old age pensioners collect their food for the week or maybe some woman catch her cat.. but from the paper, he'd look at it and listen to her speak; "Oh, easy? Hahaha. Good luck- It's not that simple. And someone else has, just for the measure." he'd say in a very matter of fact tone- "But you can take it, he always needs escorting to places after what he did." he'd say this with some kind of bitterness- did Roji's actions take a turn on his own family, perhaps? Who knew! Stamping them with acceptance, he'd then hand the papers back.

What did he do exactly? What made him so hated? It was all questions that didn’t have answers and, Yori knew for a fact she wouldn’t get any from someone here. Her plan was going to be simple, escort him around the village, and possibly defend him a few times. Nothing to advanced or basic and it helped, Yori practice her stealth skills. Nodding at the assistant she bided him farewell and exited the building. As it was still early morning, Yori had plenty of time to get to Mr. Yamamoto’s house and be there before he woke up so when he did, she would be waiting at his door.

The moment that I stopped aiding that horrible excuse for a man, Roji, I set my sights upon the elevated tower which I could go to collect my well-deserved reward for. I’d done only three but I figured that it was enough today seeing as I had some work to do elsewhere in the village that didn’t involve cutting back trees or escorting infamous citizens across the place. Approaching the desk with the completed missions slips in hand, I’d then hand it over to the assistant, who I’d expect would promptly deliver me the payment I requested for the work that I’d done. Wordlessly this transaction would occur upon my behalf, as I made my intentions clear to what I expected from him.

DESCRIPTION: Despite the fact that Kusagakure is widely known as a village that harbours all kinds of plants, not all of them are ones that citizens want to see in the village. Sometimes the plants get out of hand and they need cutting back in order to prevent them from growing over paths and becoming menaces, and because of that the village has requested shinobi to go out and cut back some of the plants that have started to become overgrown- cut them back by any means necessary, but don’t go overboard and destroy the plants!
MININUM SHINOBI: 1
OBJECTIVE: Prune some trees and bushes!
PAY: 25 EXP and 500 Ryo.

With a stamp of approval from your ever so trusted assistant, two more missions have been added on your belt.

As my request to be paid for the missions done was soon completed, I found no other reason to hang about and simply began to make my way up towards my office where I figured there was either something that I could do, or at least something that would give me something to do for the next few hours. Having entered the lift my form would then ascend the few floors that the tower consisted of, before reaching its final destination for this journey; my office. Exiting with a curt not to the ANBU in the corner of the lift itself, I’d then traverse the short distance between the lift and the grand black doors which secured the secrets of the tower itself- Or perhaps not all of them. Smirking at this thought I’d nonchalantly push open the doors to my office, sunlight soon streaming on to my face from the glass windows, catching the very best of this hour’s sun as always- But it was nothing that I was too impressed by. However- What did catch my eye was the small pile of papers upon my desk; letters and various invoices addressed to the Kusakage- Gliding over to my chair where my Kage bunshin had previously been sitting, she now standing elsewhere in the room, I’d sit, looking over the letters which I’d received and preparing to respond to each punctually.

Some time later..

Now this is interesting.

It was nothing much on the surface- Simply a letter written in some alien hand. Of course, the writing was understandable but from whom? I couldn’t exactly have been sure as there was no gathered name or address to the letter itself but from what it spoke about, I understand it fully, and whether or not a certain degree or reliability and contact information was given, it hadn’t mattered, because I knew that the words inscribed within the sheet of paper were true, because I’d heard of such things for much too long now, even after it having simply been a few days since I’d attained the title of Kusagakure. A matter that needed to be directly approached before it was too late, what could it have possibly been? After reading the paper I’d let my hands gently drop it back on to the table and slowly fold it in half to return it to its envelope, although instead of placing it away, I’d simply keep it square in the middle of my desk as I then shifted my position, crossing my left leg over my right, as my arms crossed in front of me, such letter having left me with quite a contented grin on my face. ”..ANBU!” I’d call, turning my attention to one of the guards in the corner of the room, pausing to gather my words before I was to speak any further.

”Bring me the following shinobi;

Shirou, Tsukune

Shouka, Akikou

Upon my call, the masked being would soon make his exit from the room in order to go and hunt the three of whom I had some interest in speaking to in regards to the letter which I'd recieved. Why them? They were the only ones I could think of off the top of my head. Being late wouldn't be an option.[/center]

I had a long, long night last night, so all I was trying to do was make some breakfast and relax. I wasn't able to sleep for too long because the hangover had caused me to wake up for some odd reason, so I used all the strength in my body to make me some good breakfast. As I sat at my table to eat, my ears perked up as they heard a sound, I was honestly worried. I got up slowly, and began to move towards the direction from where the sound originated. I looked into the room and there was no one, nor nothing there, so I just turned around. Upon turning around, my body almost went into shock when a ANBU was standing right behind me. What the fuck was his problem? He handed me a letter that read to assemble at her majesty's castle, last time I met her I was almost joking that I was going to meet her again. I thought she hated me, guess not!

I got dressed, throwing on a shirt, a loose leather jacket, pants, and some soccer shoes, and then I made my way towards Blanche's Tower. During the entire walk there, my mind wandered on the thought of what she wanted with me, just a few days ago she showed little to no interest in me, and now she was requesting me? What was going on, I, myself had no idea. Curiosity was definitely getting the best of me, hopefully she'd tell me why I'm there before I blew up with questions. As I approached the hill, my eyes widened in amazement. This was only my third time here, but it was amazing every time, I remember in Konohagakure how boring and ugly their tower was, while this one was on a beautiful hill. The building also looked like something out of the history books. The walk up the hill felt like forever, but as I reached the peak, and stood in front of the door I felt a sigh of relief. I entered through the front door, and moved myself to the front door.

I made my way to the front desk, and stared the assistant up and down. "Funikumi Gekigami reporting for duty, I was ordered here by some ANBU" I made my voice firm, and awaited assistance. I wondered what awaited me behind the doors that held the Kusakage inside.

[Akikou]

I hadn't been doing much, just exploring the city, attempting to bring my memories to the forefront of my mind, when an ANBU had appeared from nowhere and handed me a summons. My eyebrows had arced, surprised, but the man didn't speak. He simply delivered the summons and would vanish as they always seemed to do. With a shrug, I'd open the letter and see that my presence was... requested... within the Atrium of the Kusakage.

I was not one to ignore a summons from a woman that I had pledged to serve faithfully. Slipping the summons into my pocket, I would make all haste towards the Atrium and enter the bottom floor. Right before my entrance, though, the ANBU (if it was the same one as before) appeared next to me and ushered me inside. I assumed that this would grant me a ticket to the top floor, and so I waved at the assistant and the man that was speaking to the assistant and made my way to the lift, which would bring me to the Kusakage's floor.

Upon entering, I would immediately drop to my knees and bow my head in deference.

"Kusakage-sama," the way I spoke in reverence to the title seemed to promote the woman to the status of a God. "I live to serve."

Hrm.

A message from the office of the Kusakage. He nodded to the ANBU in grateful acknowledgement. As they disappeared, He flicked my eyes over what they had sent her. It was nothing special; it was a simple summons, with little information on it. It was Blanche's style. He shrugged his shoulders, rubbing the back of his head. He drew his coat around him more closely, and set off in the direction of the Atrium. It was not good to keep Blanche waiting. She might kill him if he kept her waiting.

He kicked his feet off the ground, and within a few minutes he arrived at the Atrium. He kept his invitation in his hand, using it to wave his way past the assistant. He grinned, walking past the man. He had foiled his arch-nemesis, at least this one time. He marched up the stairs, using his invitation to bypass the ANBU as well. As they admitted him to Blanche's office, he straightened his spine, hardening his eyes and directing them towards the level of her gaze. She had never respected weakness.

Or insolence.

He gave a low bow, deeply respectful, but never lowered his eyes. He crossed his arms across his chest, frowning and leaning against the wall. There were two others, aside from their moderately insane Kusakage, in the room. One of them was Akikou, the girl he had met before, but he didn't know the other man. Of course, in this village, that didn't mean much. He didn't know many of the shinobi. “Kusakage-sama,” He said, staring at Blanche. “As you requested, I am here.”

[OOC: For the sake of moving this on Spade, I’ll just assume that you were escorted up to the office]

After a little while of waiting and looking at the other papers that had been delivered to me today, I could faintly make out the sound of shuffling outside the grand black doors. Moments passed and soon the figure of someone would become apparent, as I’d turn my head to see Gekigami to whom I would only acknowledge his presence through a nod of my head, as my eyes suggested for him to stand in front of my desk and wait for the others to come. Twisting my left hand’s index finger around a prominent curl in my hair, soundlessly I’d keep waiting, not wanting to utter a word before the three were here even with one already evident- The first, and I could but wonder who exactly would make their appearance next for the little task that I had in store for them all. Leaning back a little I’d then let a single breath loose, and finally, after a new moments of silence, the black doors gave way to yet another person, a brown haired female who I could but recognize as Akikou, and in the same overzealous manner I’d see her kneel down before my desk, and with the same small grin on my face, I’d dismiss her behaviour and reach out my right hand before her, my fingers moving just enough to beckon her to rise from the floor.

..CREAK..

And finally, the last part of the puzzle walked through the doors and presented himself- The blonde haired shinobi from but a day or so ago. Now that everyone was here and the doors firmly shut, I’d then, with my arms now crossed in front of me begin to speak to them;

”I propose to you all.. a mission.”

As of late it's come to my attention that a small village within Kusa no kuni- much smaller than our own, has been building a military compromised of both shinobi and average citizens with no known chakra abilities.

With this new edge they wish to expand the land that their own village is based on, and due to the unstability of Kusagakure in the past, they've chosen to try and perform a coup of sorts, here, to claim the land as theirs.

Of course, the fuck is that going to happen."

After proposing the problem itself, I’d leave a few moments for it to sink in before going ahead and explaining to them what I wanted to happen. I was aware that would take on an entire village, but really it was an awfully small one from what I’d seen and heard, and the majority of people there weren’t gifted with the shinobi abilities that my shinobi had. I was confident in the fact that we could kick their asses if it came to it, but for the sake of keeping peace within Kusa, I was hoping that it wouldn’t come to that- But we’d be prepared if it had to.

”You will all come with me to that village, and partake in a meeting with its leader.

Bring any weaponry you may need, just in case.

Meet me outside the village gates within exactly five hours.”

And with this last part, I highly suggested that it would be best for them to come prepared for a kind of war. Of course, I was going to bring everything I had in my arsenal, as I was sure that Samehada would be a useful advantage to strike terror in to whomever dared to go against our conditions- Instigating fear within them was an important part of our journey, but I doubted that they’d give up their plans without a fight, so I urged them to bring all that they needed, if things did turn. Of course- I knew that we’d be fine- after all, the village was much less advanced than we were with shinobi and general military, but approaching them thinking that they would be completely weak would be foolish- As far as we knew, they were all cold-blooded warlords. Waiting for a response, I’d be interested to hear what they had to say- would they all be interested in joining me to Kaju no sato

DESCRIPTION: After receiving news of a small village within Kusa no Kuni becoming increasingly threatening towards Kusagakure and rumours of there being plans to infiltrate the village and take over it, the Kusakage has decided to take things in to play and strike first by spontaneously visiting the village itself in order to arrange a talk with its leader. A few Kusa shinobi have been called to escort her and aid in persuadingthe leader. Of course, things aren’t expecting to go as planned, so be on your guard at all times- This is very much enemy territory.
OBJECTIVE: Escort the Kusakage to and from Kaju no Sato.
PAY: 1,000 EXP and 5,000 Ryo.[/ul]

As the assistant escorted me to the Kusakage's room, I stepped inside and shot her a smile. Since she didn't begin to speak as soon as I entered, I began to think that there were others that she called to this office besides me. It couldn't be helped, so I stood a few feet away from her desk, and waited for the other shinobi to come inside. The next person to come inside was a female, she was alright, but her beauty couldn't match Blanche's, and the way she acted turned me off as well. I hated people like that, regardless of how loyal I am, I would never get on my knees and bow in front of someone. Soon after a blonde haired man entered, he seemed alright, nothing that would keep me from not liking him, as soon as he entered she crossed her arms, it looked like no one else was coming since the doors were shut soon after.

As time ticked on, the Kusakage began to speak, my ears perked up and began to take in the information. I was right, people were already trying to start with us because we haven't fully stabilized ourselves yet, we are at a disadvantage, but if it's like the Kusakage says, and the village wasn't as big as ours then us four would suffice to be enough to take on a few unknown people. I was confident in my abilities, and I was finally going to have a chance to prove to her that I was a worthy ninja to keep by her side, hiding my happiness, I simply nodded my head as she told us to meet in the front gates in five hours. There was nothing more to be discussed, so I looked her in the eyes and waved bye.

("See ya in five hours then!")

I said in a enthusiastic tone, turning around I shot a glare at the two others who were accompanying us on this adventure, opened the doors, and walked out. I'd go home and prepare myself for this little war that might happen if we aggravate the leader of the other village, which I think is what was going to happen because of Blanche's personality.

His words were simple, clipped even. He nodded respectfully to Blanche, acknowledging her orders. He uncrossed his arms, sparing a glance at the two others. The man was on his way out; meanwhile, Akikou was showing a great deal of respect. He wondered what kind of conversation the two women had had, to get Akikou reacting like this. Well, it was none of his business, at the moment. “Five hours. As you wish, Kusakage-sama.” With that he would turn on his heel, striding out of the room.

A village trying to take over our land?!

It was the Great Wars all over again. If news got out about a small village, even smaller than our own, attempting to raise its own flag within our borders, there was no chance that the Great Nations would not pounce upon that. A grimace filled my face, and I knew that this was the sort of thing that would need to be put down, and quickly. When the Kusakage suggested that we bring whatever weapons we would need, a shiver of foreshadowing fell down my spine.

Would we all make it from this excursion...? I could only hope so. No matter what, though, I had my duty, even though I didn't know why I felt like this. Nodding my head towards the Kusakage to hear that I was aware of the required five hour meeting time, I would stand up, turn and leave, walking down the hallway to the lift and heading out. This would be... interesting, I guess.

With the task having now been set, I'd watch as each one of them would leave the room, some voicing their goodbyes, whilst others went in silence. Not that I cared much, of course. Tilting my head a little bit, the black doors would close and I'd be left in the office again.

..But not for long, as I also had things to do.

Tsukune yawned widely and stepped into the Atrium. He had slept hard last night, and he was still shaking the dregs of it off. He still felt a bit shaky, having used so much chakra the day before, but he felt a lot better after about twelve hours of being comatose. He had checked on Hisanna, and though she was still in recovery, she was doing great. With a smile, he stepped up to the assistant's desk, crossing his arms for a moment and then uncrossing them. After a moment, he remembered why he was there.

“Missions complete.”
