a man of western descent, and prescribed with the hawklike and sharp features of his heritage. his hair is an ashen black, though by his clothing and eye color, is almost confused as a deep navy. his frame is athletic, yet slim, seemingly bulky when donning the set of armor his people are known for. it is a wonder that such a graceful figure could be found underneath. and despite the his apparent flexibility, and frame, a fierce expression is worn to shatter such a fragile misconception. narrow and dark brows sit over oval eyes of cerulean. his narrow face is apexed by a slightly upturned and pointed nose, found between a strong jawline and pronounced cheeks. edric's lightly tanned skin hides his neutral lip color, though his pursed expression might also be to blame for such a statuesque and stoic mouth.  

As a result of an uncanny event, a meeting between man and god, Edric now possesses a seal upon his right hand that is the number one encircled by the kanji for the five ninjutsu elements.

Apparel ·

edric is typically found in a militaristic fashion as per the profession and rank he upholds. his ranking allows for leeway in design, in order to express command over smaller units, but there is still the sense of unity in the basis of it all. his military jacket is dyed a steel blue with a sheepish colored lining and golden buttons. the right sleeve has been removed to allow for flexibility with his sword arm, and his sleeved arm is lightly armored to provide protection to his off-hand. hanging loosely from his shoulders, is an ivory cape that drapes down to his calves, its surface emblazoned with the house sigil, a runed blade lifted by heavenly wings. off-duty, and in his personal quarters might edric venture off into something much more casual, though the uniformity has always been a tendency of his nation, and even on his days off he is typically found in a jerkin or jacket with a militaristic influence, as well as tailored to the most contemporary fashion fad.

edric's armor mixes bulky protection, and lean mobility together to form a cohesive and imposing silhouette of steel colored metal. standing a full foot taller than normal in the metal, it boasts impressive shoulder pads that further strengthen its profile and persona. the chest is lightly barreled, with a crest of angelic wings widening from the center in a faded gold. edric's limbs are fitted and sleek, with more protection around the joints. his faulds are hidden behind another layer of large plated tassets with more house insignias, and all cover a more lean style of plate around his legs. the armor is crested with a full-helm with wings that arc back behind his head; and the outfit is finished with a cerulean cloak that is tied around his helm, and flows to the floor.

edric valkyrian remains a reflection of his father, and all values that his house holds true. as the heir to the valkyrian family, he was raised to strictly follow their code of honor, one of personal respect, pride, and power. while he holds more personality than that of his stoic stone of a father, the apple does not fall far from the tree in a lot of ways. edric conducts himself in a very presentable and formal matter. his language is decorated with precision and influence from the wealthier parts of the kingdom he hails from. While honorable in tendency and intentions, his wealth and birth of prestige had also caused him to be rather oblivious to certain cultural differences from those of lower birth than him. While he never is one to cause disrespect or embarrassment to another, his own lack of understanding often leads him to be depicted as looking down on those lesser. still, edric tries with extreme effort to remain a paragon of the common people from his homeland, despite the mistakes he makes. his love for heroism and glory could also be a weakness, as he is known to appoint himself the vanguard in many disadvantaged situations. and while all the former could be said about his father, the difference is that he is willing enough to challenge the law that may supersede justice at times, regardless of the danger is poses to his well being.

Description: Fenrir is a longsword with a 120cm silver blade. Being a crafted gift from his father, it features embellishments far beyond practical use, including an altered crossguard and a sliver of onyx that runs through the center of the weapon, exposing itself in the middle of its length the most. It has a neo-design to the construction of the blade, gradually increasing in width from the tip, and flaring out near the base of the weapon. The blade collides back in, connecting to a two-pronged handguard of a feathered design. A sapphire is capsulized inside, and rests above a dyed leather grip. The end-cap carries on the same design of the hand-guard, though four preserved wolf teeth cradle a second sapphire.

Description: The legendary suit of knight armor of which all knights don upon their entrance into knighthood. Each armor looks different but functions similarly. Each piece of the armor acts a conduit for 'magic'. Without those particular pieces of armor a knight cannot use techniques which require it. The knight armor also functions as well as it looks, providing defense just as a armor of it's caliber normally would. Pieces of the armor can break and upon doing so will be needed to be replaced. Tier 1 - 'Magic' Interference Intensity: Highly reliant on their Detsuno Yoroi (Legendary Armor) to perform their actions, damage done to their armor is usually a considerable ordeal for any knight especially when a piece breaks. However, by learning to better control their 'Magic,' its power has seeped into the armor granting Mahou Kishi a unique level of connection to their armor. At the cost of a Miniscule chakra per piece, Knights of this level are able to regenerate any damage done to their armor over the course of two turns. For an additional Miniscule chakra per piece, the duration needed for full restoration is reduced by one turn. And for an additional Mid chakra per piece (on top of original Miniscule and secondary Miniscule), the user can reduce the restoration time by another turn making it instant. If the regenerating armor piece is hit as it is regenerating, the timer for full restoration is reset.

Tier 2 - 'Magic' Processing Speed: Mahou Kishi of this level have learned to better channel their 'Magic' allowing them to perform actions with greater ease. All Hand Seal (Charge Time) counts are reduced by 4 to a minimum of 1. All "sustain" cost are reduced by one tier to a minimum of Miniscule. Does not affect base technique cost.

Basic Lashing

The most basic of 'lashing' techniques, Basic Lashing allows the Knight to press two objects together to force extreme levels of attraction to them. This attraction has nothing to do with the forces magnetism or gravity, but rather is something other - binding two objects invisibly (except to sensors, Sharingan, etc) together through 'magic'. All lashing is applied through touch. The strength of this bind is the weakest out of any binding technique but still requires significant force to break. The lashing will only take hold if the two things in question are within ten meters of each other, and at this distance it takes a turn to take hold. If they are within five meters, the effect is instant. If used on an individual it requires strength equal to the rank of the technique to break the bond, in which case it takes a full post to do so. However, any sort of Taijutsu technique its own rank or higher will instantly break the bond. A Ninjutsu technique that provides significant force (one rank higher than the technique) can also force lashed things apart.

Lashing techniques can be applied to anything or anyone, besides the caster (unless explicitly stated). Relics, Saton, and Jiton users also are seemingly unaffected by this bond.

It should also be noted that by reverse lashing is also possible, and decided immediately upon cast. Everything is the same, except now things are repulsed instead of attracted. Requires Gauntlets.

Torrent

A peculiar Knight technique developed to fill a specific niche, Torrent allows a Knight to quickly change direction instantly. By focusing their 'energy' toward their core, and then toward their faulds, they can immediately spin 180 degrees on a dime. This spinning occurs individual of any external forces meaning that one can spin in the air this way too. While it is possible to hold a weapon while doing this much of the power is lost, the blow in question only dealing 'D-Ranked' damage. Once the Knight starts this technique they cannot stop, and must turn the full 180 degrees. Requires Faulds.

Endure

By focusing their energies within the core of their armor a knight becomes able to endure the shock of any blow. For two turns their armor shines bright with a white luminescence, granting them immunity from any sort of shockwave, knockback, stun, or paralysis from techniques of it's rank or lower. During this time they may continue to supply 'magic' to their armor and keep the effect active. If the constantly upkeep is broken (or simply never paid and the effect used for just one turn) they must wait one additional turn before using this again as cooldown. Requires Breastplate.

By lowering their shoulder toward their enemy and focusing their might upon their pauldrons a Knight can generate a cone of swirling energies emanating forward. By running forward they can begin to generate forward momentum, ignoring things such as air resistance, as the swirling mass of energy forces anything in front of them aside. If a technique, weapon, or secondary was to come into contact with this swirling energy, it is deflected in a direction unless it is of a higher rank or has some sort of extra effect. Requires Pauldrons.

Self Lashing

An expansion upon basic lashing that allows the breaking of some of the rules, specifically the one which states a lashing cannot effect the caster. By focusing upon themselves, so long as their is a piece of armor to use as the base one may lash themselves to something else. That is, if the Knight wished to lash their boots to a wall (with their feet in them) it would be possible, allowing them to stick to such wall. However, if they lacked these boots they could not. In addition, using a lashing this way disables the ability for one to use other lashings for a full post.

A lashing used in this way may be broken at any time, as per the Knight's will. Requires Gauntlets.

Magic Shield

A shield that can be generated using the 'magical' energies from within their breastplate, Divine Shield, provides protection against any threat of it's own rank or lower, breaking immediately upon contact of anything it's own rank. The shield emanates from the center of the breastplate upon cast, forming a completely translucent spherical white shield around the caster. This shield extends no more than a few feet from the caster itself. Upon use, the knight must wait two turns before using it again. Requires Breastplate.

Full Lashing

The truest form of basic lashing, Full Lashing is an expansion of basic lashing providing significantly more adhesion strength. The same rules that apply to 'basic' lashing apply to Full Lashing, with the exception of the Ninjutsu clause. In such case a Ninjutsu technique of equal rank may provide enough force to break the bond. Additionally, in this case the lashing has become powerful enough that it cannot retain it's invisibility, being fully visible. The lashing appears as a static discharge between the two objects in question. Requires Gauntlets.

Aura Blade

The most basic of technique learned by a Knight revolving around the sword Aura Blade, forces 'magic' within the blade, making it appear luminescent. All attacks with the sword for a period of five turns will produce a small (12cm x 12cm x 1m) blade of of chakra to fly out in the direction attacked at. By angling or arcing the sword during an attack the Knight can manipulate the shape produced to a degree. Requires, 'Cutting' Knight weapon.

Spear Boomerang

The Knight who masters the spear is afforded a great many abilities, their spear listening to their very will. Through 'magic' the Knight can toss an imbued spear forth and have it come back. The spear may only travel a maximum of ten meters this way before it boomerangs back toward the Knight. If the spear should touch anything in the process (be it flesh or stone) the spear will lose it's ability to return. This means that even if indeed the Knight does hit their mark the spear will not return. Requires, 'Piercing' Knight weapon.

Spiral Pierce

By pouring 'magic' into the hilt of their piercing weapon whilst thrusting and spinning it forth a Knight can produce a point which can pierce almost anything. Namely, this technique allows the knight to penetrate (be able to attack through) any sort of barrier (even chakra constructions) lower than it's own rank and still deal it's damage. For barriers of it's own rank it can similarly attack through but the attack no longer carry's 'ranked' damage. Requires, 'Piercing' Knight weapon.

Animate Weapon

By resonating with their weapon a Knight can bring out it's 'soul', creating a chakra-image of it which is projected into the world. This image, a fully chakra based construction, compliments the Knight by fighting alongside him. Any movement of the Knight's weapon will be repeated by the animation with small delay. Additionally, any weapon-based technique used by the knight can be mirror'd by the animation for the cost of the technique with no need of handseals. Since this animation is quite literally the 'soul' of the weapon, any damage it takes is reflected into the actual weapon. This means that whatever rank the weapon is determines how much the animation can take before shattering. Requires, Knight Weapon & Knowledge of 3 Other Weapon Techniques.

Tier 1 - Perfect Form: By executing their techniques with minimal effort from their body, Fencers of this level are capable of performing Fencing maneuvers of D-A rank for one tier less of chakra, with the absolute lowest amount being a single Miniscule.

Tier 2 - Fancy Footwork: Spending so much time perfecting their sword style has provided the Fencer with incredible equilibrium and uncanny proprioception. The Fender can perform optimally in situations where balance is compromised, such as during earthquakes, while standing on slick surfaces, and even while blinded. One handed sword techniques that typically require proper grounding may now be performed while the user is moving and even while kneeling, in congruence with proper RP. However, incredibly sharp sounds will disrupt their balance as intended.

This technique allows a Fencer master to purge all of their experience into a surreal body movement. This movement allows them to analyze their opponents completely within the users range by studying others and the user tensing their bodies for sudden movements.

Notes: This is fully dependent on role-play movement but just gives the ability to perceive attacks, but not predict. Simply put, this is nothing more than a greater clarity during battle than most shinobi; it will simply offer the user a marginal edge, dependent on the execution of the role-play in question.

Pawn Wishing To Shuffle

This technique is a feint or "pawn" maneuver. By faking to give away a vital area the user of this technique can counterattack just as a strike is being given. But the counterattack is intended to blind or disable the opponent using sweeping slashes with the tip of a slim weapon.

Note: This is a two-part technique. The user will simply strike (the feint), and then when the opponent responds reverse their strike to deliver the true blow.

A Fencing practitioner knowing of an incoming attack can push forward and bend themselves backwards , almost as if falling to the floor but held up by a singular hand and their feet bent at the knee. A typical example is a power slide. This technique allows a Fencing master to set up an accurate counter strike or evade a technique too strong for original evasive maneuvers.

Another deadly technique, by striking a joint or structural point around their opponents body. A Fencer can cause catastrophic damage to a singular point disabling a arm or leg until medical attention is given to the opponent.

Note: This also totally dependent on roleplay ability to accurately tell what has been hit and why it was important enough to disable. However, once struck, the appendage in question will be unusable for the remainder of the thread.

Moving Your Queen

A Fencer knows that a world full of dangerous people must be met with dangerous force. Using their ferocious piercing talents, a Fencer will strike directly for their opponents eye with pin-point precision, even if the target is moving. This technique is used to destroy their vision completely within that one socket with their chakra infused strike.

Sweeping the Knight

This technique causes a different type of damage. A Fencer will go for their opponents strengths, whether speed or forming hand-seals. The user will slash outward cutting the appendage in use (legs or arms) to such a degree the user will be slowed down in creation of seals or speed.

Note: The "slow down" for seals will simply be counted as doubling the seal count for all of a victim's jutsu (i.e six would become twelve). As for speed, the victim will simply be reduced to moving at half (round up) of their normal speed and be incapable of using passive boosts such as removing ankle weights, the Gates, or Curse Mark. This effect last a total of five posts.

High-Velocity Defense

Being outnumbered or out-forced tends to do something to a persons perception, such as allowing them to deflect and counter techniques at a speed usually unseen in fighting styles. Thanks to Gentleman's Art focusing on counters, however, this incredible level of focus and precision when deflecting techniques becomes entirely possible. Blocking numerous defenders at once, swaying away multiple moves and delivering crushing counters to those that approach, and any projectile thrown at them, a real pinnacle of defensive maneuvers.

Note: This technique will be widely considered a multi-strike counter. While it can be used outside of this purpose, its main priority is the defensive against techniques that allow an opponent to strike multiple times in a single instant.

Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered a high-speed movement technique - to an observer caught in the optical illusion, it appears as if the user has teleported. This allows the user to escape or attack suddenly, should they need to. However, while a high-speed movement, if used in broad daylight, one will still be quite visible and as such, easier to be defended against. In order to achieve maximum effect, the user must combine it with a distraction.

Note: Despite popular belief, this is not an ability that allows an individual to teleport, or even move incomprehensibly fast. It simply combines high mobility with some disruption of visibility to conceal those movements. That in mind, if you can conceal your movement, it is common for this technique to allow very long-distance dashes before enemies may notice you.

Kai is a Ninjutsu technique which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.

A very basic but effective taijutsu attack, the Kaiten involves the user's leg in a reverse downward kick. After launching themselves into the air and begin to somersault, the user gains momentum within the chosen striking limb and come spinning down, laying their heels into the target's shoulders and head.

Note: If this kick connects with the opponent’s head, they will be stunned for one full turn.

Hayabusa Otoshi (Peregrine Falcon Drop)

A very deadly and efficient taijutsu attack. While at an elevated position, the user will grab their opponent from behind. Firmly locking themselves to their back, the user will then lock their ankles onto the opponent's neck in order to get their body rigid. Finally, on the descent, the user proceeds to drive and plant the victim head first into the ground. Essentially a belly to back pile-driver, the move can provide a great concussion to his opponent's head.

An effective aerial attack, the user first begins to maneuver to their opponent in a vulnerable aerial position. While shadowing them, the user will attempt to strike them from a vulnerable angle. First, they will strike as a feint in order to draw their target's attention and defense to one area.
