tristan lhant holds strong and ancient roots deep within the western continent in the providence of avalon. his blood is filled with noble heritage borne from both his mother's and father's lines. thick, chocolate colored hair lays upon his crown kept short and simple for easy maintenance. the mildly unruly strands sit messily on his head with a few loose bangs that hang over his thin, dark brown eyebrows.

A thin scar sits between two sharp, hawk-like, eyes each holding a icy pale blue iris, with distinctly small, almost feral pupils. his face is oddly feminine, yet holds masculine qualities making him appear younger than he actually is by two to three years or so. his skin is fair borderline pale with no visible blemishes on his head, neck, or collarbone. his body is lean, packed with small, tight muscles that hide the surprising strength in his small, lean, and unassuming physique.

tristan doesn't have too much of a variety of clothing, but what he does have he keeps in good condition. he has an outfit fit for certain situations- his battle armor for battle, of course. his formal outfit for when he's meeting foreign powers such as kages and daimyos. and lastly his casual clothing for when he's not forced to do his 'knightly duties' or just wants to travel around incognito.

tristan lhant was never "normal" in the eyes of the noble "house of lhant". ever since he was young he seemed to be physically incapable of obeying the rules. stubborn, wild, violent, and sadistic- tristan seemed more like a feral beast than the second son of a lord. tristan had always been a person who cared more about his own self interests than the interests of others. his selfishness often caused him to clash with his more chivalrous older brother and heir apparent- alexander.

in fact, there was little love shared between him and the rest of his family. which only caused tristan to further isolate himself, becoming more volatile and increasingly dangerous. because of this he focused on his own self destructive habits distancing himself from his kin and their noble lifestyle. and if there was one thing tristan enjoyed above all 'destructive habits', it was a challenge. he enjoyed the thrill of going against a superior foe with only his wits and skills, only to come out on top as the victor despite the insurmountable odds. and unlike most knights of his homeland, he didn't fight for 'justice', 'honor', or even 'love'- he simply fought because he wanted to.

everything he did was because he wanted to do it. there was nothing he cared about more than having 'fun' in anyway he could. and while being so indulgent tristan did love things other than fighting. sex, especially casual sex with no emotional attachments was always a good stress reliever for him. male or female it didn't matter- as long as it's human- he drew a line at children and animals however, even he had some morals. he also loved alcohol and could hold his liquor quite well, even out drinking some of the older men in the pubs he frequented. he also loved food, mostly red meats, hearty vegetables, breads, and the occasional fruit or pastry sweet.

despite all of his vices, tristan was still human. though he had a hard time expressing himself outside of battle, he could be surprisingly kind and thoughtful. he was not mindless like many thought him to be, and was in fact- very intelligent. he also had an artistic side and enjoyed writing poetry, collecting foreign trinkets and doodads, as well as sketching wildlife and nature when he had the time. he could even be gentle which was usually only shown towards small animals and of course children. it was proof that even the most ferocious beasts could have a soft side- even for someone as bloodthirsty and unstable as him.

Description:  oblivionis a pure black katana made of blackened steel. it reaches the length of 4'5 feet and weighs around 40 pounds. it was crafted by the lhant family's personal blacksmith and is considered to be a weapon with no equal. it is a simple and plain craftsmanship, but that simple and clean form fits tristan just fine.

Each piece of the armor acts a conduit for 'magic'. Without those particular pieces of armor a knight cannot use techniques which require it. The knight armor also functions as well as it looks, providing defense just as a armor of it's caliber normally would. Pieces of the armor can break and upon doing so will be needed to be replaced. Basic Lashing

The most basic of 'lashing' techniques, Basic Lashing allows the Knight to press two objects together to force extreme levels of attraction to them. This attraction has nothing to do with the forces magnetism or gravity, but rather is something other - binding two objects invisibly (except to sensors, Sharingan, etc) together through 'magic'. All lashing is applied through touch. The strength of this bind is the weakest out of any binding technique but still requires significant force to break. The lashing will only take hold if the two things in question are within ten meters of each other, and at this distance it takes a turn to take hold. If they are within five meters, the effect is instant. If used on an individual it requires strength equal to the rank of the technique to break the bond, in which case it takes a full post to do so. However, any sort of Taijutsu technique its own rank or higher will instantly break the bond. A Ninjutsu technique that provides significant force (one rank higher than the technique) can also force lashed things apart.

Lashing techniques can be applied to anything or anyone, besides the caster (unless explicitly stated). Relics, Saton, and Jiton users also are seemingly unaffected by this bond.

It should also be noted that by reverse lashing is also possible, and decided immediately upon cast. Everything is the same, except now things are repulsed instead of attracted. Requires Gauntlets.

A peculiar Knight technique developed to fill a specific niche, Torrent allows a Knight to quickly change direction instantly. By focusing their 'energy' toward their core, and then toward their faulds, they can immediately spin 180 degrees on a dime. This spinning occurs individual of any external forces meaning that one can spin in the air this way too. While it is possible to hold a weapon while doing this much of the power is lost, the blow in question only dealing 'D-Ranked' damage. Once the Knight starts this technique they cannot stop, and must turn the full 180 degrees. Requires Faulds.

By lowering their shoulder toward their enemy and focusing their might upon their pauldrons a Knight can generate a cone of swirling energies emanating forward. By running forward they can begin to generate forward momentum, ignoring things such as air resistance, as the swirling mass of energy forces anything in front of them aside. If a technique, weapon, or secondary was to come into contact with this swirling energy, it is deflected in a direction unless it is of a higher rank or has some sort of extra effect. Requires Pauldrons.

Self Lashing

An expansion upon basic lashing that allows the breaking of some of the rules, specifically the one which states a lashing cannot effect the caster. By focusing upon themselves, so long as their is a piece of armor to use as the base one may lash themselves to something else. That is, if the Knight wished to lash their boots to a wall (with their feet in them) it would be possible, allowing them to stick to such wall. However, if they lacked these boots they could not. In addition, using a lashing this way disables the ability for one to use other lashings for a full post.

A lashing used in this way may be broken at any time, as per the Knight's will. Requires Gauntlets.

Aura Blade

Chakra Consumption: Minuscule

The most basic of technique learned by a Knight revolving around the sword Aura Blade, forces 'magic' within the blade, making it appear luminescent. All attacks with the sword for a period of five turns will produce a small (12cm x 12cm x 1m) blade of of chakra to fly out in the direction attacked at. By angling or arcing the sword during an attack the Knight can manipulate the shape produced to a degree. Requires, 'Cutting' Knight weapon.

A technique that is used by the holder of the weapon to suddenly launch the hilt of the blade outwards from any position. The main function of this attack grants the user the ability to use the blunt end of the hilt while it is still encased, and move it forward to suddenly strike the opponent. The attack is so quick, due to the method of movement, that it is a extremely difficult to predict technique, and usually ensures a hit if performed on a unsuspecting target.

Note: The stunning power of this technique is one turn after contact.

Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered a high-speed movement technique - to an observer caught in the optical illusion, it appears as if the user has teleported. This allows the user to escape or attack suddenly, should they need to. However, while a high-speed movement, if used in broad daylight, one will still be quite visible and as such, easier to be defended against. In order to achieve maximum effect, the user must combine it with a distraction.

Note: Despite popular belief, this is not an ability that allows an individual to teleport, or even move incomprehensibly fast. It simply combines high mobility with some disruption of visibility to conceal those movements. That in mind, if you can conceal your movement, it is common for this technique to allow very long-distance dashes before enemies may notice you.

Kai is a Ninjutsu technique which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.

A very basic but effective taijutsu attack, the Kaiten involves the user's leg in a reverse downward kick. After launching themselves into the air and begin to somersault, the user gains momentum within the chosen striking limb and come spinning down, laying their heels into the target's shoulders and head.

Note: If this kick connects with the opponent’s head, they will be stunned for one full turn.

Hayabusa Otoshi (Peregrine Falcon Drop)

A very deadly and efficient taijutsu attack. While at an elevated position, the user will grab their opponent from behind. Firmly locking themselves to their back, the user will then lock their ankles onto the opponent's neck in order to get their body rigid. Finally, on the descent, the user proceeds to drive and plant the victim head first into the ground. Essentially a belly to back pile-driver, the move can provide a great concussion to his opponent's head.

An effective aerial attack, the user first begins to maneuver to their opponent in a vulnerable aerial position. While shadowing them, the user will attempt to strike them from a vulnerable angle. First, they will strike as a feint in order to draw their target's attention and defense to one area. Then, a true strike is made towards the most undefended area, preceded by several more until the user violently begins knocking them down and towards the ground. As the enemy falls back to the earth, the user will deftly rotate their body around to deliver a full force kick to their chest.

Note: The maximum amount of hits, not including the final heel drop, is five hits.
