Appearance:
Rience Keimusho is a rather unassuming individual. He does not prefer the traditional shinobi garb, with its "Gaudy, bright, and skimpy" designs, no he is a man of finesse. Rience stands close to six feet in height, with a lanky, wiry frame, and shaggy blonde hair. His eyes are a deep, opaque hazel, belying his Yamanaka heritage. Through his training and travels across the world, Rience has become a toned individual but not overtly muscular; he possesses a "sprinters build". Rience is athletic, but not so much that he stands out-- in fact he's quite lazy with strength-training. He swears his diet of coffee and candy keeps him thin.
Apparel:
Finesse and grace are crucial for Rience. Simple and clean is how he describes himself and his line of work. A white button-down shirt, with a black vest and tie, with matching pants are common. His vest is believed to be a modified flak jacket, with ta silken fabric covering the armor. He frequently wears leather gloves, fitted with padding on the backsdie to protect his hands. Often during colder months he can be seen wearing a black peacoat that extends to his knees. If one were to look at him, they would think he is a civilian, and that is precisely his goal. He does not want to attract attention. Around his waist he wears a belt, with a number of clips for bags, holsters, and other attachments. His footwear is similarly diverse; styled to be elegant but also functional and comfortable on the battlefield. Rience does not wear a headband from Konohagakure.
Blemishes or Scars:
They say you need some scars or tats to be a shinobi, well Rience has a two to be exact. One, depicting a jellyfish, rests between his shoulder blades, with his tendrils extending down the length of his spine, and flaring out towards his sides. A second tattoo resembles a double helix twisting around his left wrist. According to ANBU sources, these tattoos are likely functional as Fuinjutsu or Summoning marks.

Alignment: Lawful Evil[/font][/ul]
Allegiance: Ex-Konohagakure Shinobi, Kirigakure Loyalist
Personality:
Rience is a man of deception and betrayal, a pathological liar with a masterfully crafted mask. As a former intelligence agent for the Hidden Leaf, and Yamanaka Clansmen, he is well versed in human psychology. While he puts up an excellent front as a mild-mannered, charismatic individual, Rience has a wicked streak. He is an expert in espionage and intelligence-gathering, and so rather than exert a manipulative, and calculating persona, he is rather kind to people.
While working for Konohagakure, Rience uncovered a plot by the Hidden Mist. Through kind favors, pleasant conversation, meals, generosity, he was able to gain the trust of the Hidden Mist shinobi in custody. Over the course of several months, he deftly played the role of the "good cop", and was able to dissect and piece together their missions. However the objectives and connections he acquired were far more intriguing, and led him to betray the Hidden Leaf.
You see, Rience is an expert in Genjutsu and Yamanaka techniques. He aquired the nickname "Irukandji" from the Hidden Mist, after they learned he can modify, implant, extract, rearrange and destroy the memories from his targets. The Hidden Leaf's ANBU have said that Rience has implanted false memories of himself into his subjects before interrogating them; creating a synthetic friendly memory. One prisoner from the Hidden Sand even claimed they were childhood friends. Using this technique he is able to prey upon the whims and desires of his foes, or completely erase their ambitions, or construct fears and presumptions. Rience is a puppetmaster of the mind.
This affinity for psychology has given Rience a curious position in the shinobi world. Rather than force others to do his bidding, he befriends them, or cleverly recruits others to his cause. He says it is like picking a sword; you want the keenest, most durable allies by your side. No matter how intimidating the being, Rience has a way with people and creatures. Take his Summoning Contract for instance; he did not forcefully subdue and bind them to his essence, rather he persuaded the whole species to fight on his behalf.
Rience is also a liar to himself, and hates to acknowledge his own flaws. He is a narcissistic perfectionist, and thus projects an illusion of his "ideal self". Irukandji, his sobriquet, has become his alter-ego, his ID of sorts. Irukandji is the man who he always wanted to be. As Irukandji, he is absurdly agile on the battlefield; wielding levitating Jellyfish-summons and casting illusory Ninjutsu. Those who have fought Irukandji succumb to his strength only through over-exertion of their mental faculties. Through the clever use of illusions, Irukandji can subdue multiple opponents in succession. But what happens when this illusion is broken?
This Missing-Nin, without his illusions, becomes vulnerable, vicious, and desperate. Rience's confidence blows away in the wind, and he is left with utterly nothing at his disposal. However Rience works tirelessly to ensure that this never happens. He must be seen as the "good cop" for the military, and the effective "Irukandji" for himself. On the outside, Rience is an uncannily confident, indomitable foe.

Trivia
- Rience comes from Arthurian Legend, as King Rience, who wished to overthrow and slay Arthur. According to lore he wore a coat bearing the beards of fallen kings.
- Keimusho means "Prison", but specifically the Panopticon; a French cylindrical design of cells, with a watchtower in the center designed with zero blind spots. The Panopticon oppressed the minds of the prisoners via the ever-watchful eye of the guards or so they thought; Mind-over-mind.
- Rience's Mnemokinetic powers and "Irukandji" sobriquet are a reference to Scyphozoa of Code Lyoko; a jellyfish-like program designed to ensnare and remove the memories of characters.
- Rience's use of Water-style and Yamanaka clan techniques is a reference to Jace, the Planeswalker from Magic: The Gathering; Jace is a powerful, recurring wizard that manipulates memories; Also Ashiok, The Nightmare Weaver, who utilizes dreams to produce nightmares to combat enemies.
- His comment about "because they conceal themselves, they appear smaller than they actually are" is a quote from Tower of God, spoken by antagonist Yu-Han Sung upon revealing his true strength as an elite Ranker despite dwelling on the second floor of the Tower.
