02CHARACTER IN-DEPTH

01PERSONALITY:

• General; Dex is average in terms of personality. For a teenager, at least. He enjoys plenty of things and has his own weird interests that are not really worth talking about. Oh well. You see he is, like most teen males, driven almost entirely by three basic impulses. First, the desire for female companionship. Obviously this means he enjoys the "company" of the opposite sex. Second is a human's natural desire for sustenance, ie food. He's no glutton, but he enjoys food for the taste and has even taught himself to cook. And finally is his desire to succeed. He wants to be stronger so that he can accomplish his goals with his own hands. Other things factor in, of course. He's usually very friendly and enjoys hanging out simply to have company. He lives each day at a time and never rushes things unless needed, often taking whatever chances to relax he can. There's a lot to him and yet very little at the same time. A lot, but nothing really worth descussing. Oh well.

02APPEARANCE:

• General; Like some shinobi that come from Kumogakure, Dexter is of a dark complexion. His skin, unblemished and youthful, is a mocha brown color much like his mother's. His face is angular with a strong jawline and berift of baby fat. His brown eyes are poor in vision which causes him to wear glasses. His hairstyle is a combination of short dreadlocks along the top of his scalp, with cornrows lining the sides and back. He is of average height with a slightly muscular build. Dexter is handsome in some respects and is usually seen with a condifent, warm smile on his face.

• Clothing; Dexter prefers simple clothing, often wearing t-shirts and jeans depending on the weather. He seems to enjoy short sleeves more than their longer counterparts though always covers his forearms with large sweatbands. Usually, these days, he wears a simple white dress with the sleeves rooled up to his biceps and his usual sweatbands. His pants are dark black and he wears white sneakers.

  Description: Traditionally made from red oak and wielded in pairs, The tonfa can be gripped by the short perpendicular handle or by the longer main shaft. In defense, if the handle is grasped then the shaft protects the forearm and hand while the knob protects the thumb. If both ends of the shaft are held, the shaft can be used to ward off blows and the handle can be used as a hook to catch the opponent's weapons. One can also swing the shaft to strike the target, as large amounts of momentum can be imparted to the shaft by twirling the tonfa by the handle. Finally, by holding the shaft and the handle of the tonfa together, one can use it for holding or breaking techniques.

• Housenka no Jutsu (Mythical Fire Phoenix Technique)

  Type: Offensive / Katon Ninjutsu
  Range: See special!
  Special: Up to 5 projectile fireballs can be made at once, plus 5 more each time retrained. Travels as far as the projectile allows.
  Description: Basic yet very effective within the Katon arsenal of jutsu, this technique allows the ninja to emit a series of small fire balls after a simple set of handseals are made. The ninja can also hurl a projectile which is covered in these same flames. To the opponent the attack appears to be only the balls of flame, because they do not see the hidden threat within the flames. The flames can be used to cover different projectiles like shuriken or kunai, and only select doujutsu and bloodline abilities allow the user to see through the deception.

• Ryuuka no Jutsu (Dragon Fire Technique)

  Special: By default, only one opponent can be trapped by the wire. However, each time re-learned, the user can trap an additional opponent. Trapping each opponent consumes 20 meters worth of wire, so the user must have sufficient wire in the first place to trap his opponent.
  Description: With this technique, the user takes advantage of what projectiles and accessories grant a shinobi in battle. In this case, armed with extensive wire, the user uses their chakra to move and bind the opponent, and once trapped, a stream of hot fire travels across the wire and envelops the victim whole.

• Karyuu Endan (Fire Dragon Flame Projectile)

  Special: Stream travels 10 meters, plus 5 more each time retrained.
  Description: This jutsu allows the user to expel a jet stream of fire that moves at high speeds, double that of a kunai, with the pressure behind it that can pierce even the hardest of stones. All the user has to do is perform a few simple handseals, and with a deep breath taking, the stream is shot forth. With additional knowledge within this technique, the user can also move around and perform taijutsu while spewing the fire.

• Goukakyuu no Jutsu (Great Fireball Technique)
  Rank: B
  Type: Offensive / Katon Ninjutsu
  Range: 0 - 10 meters
  Special: Although flames do not travel far, their intensity allows them to burn short range objects down easily, resulting in 'A" ranked area of effect damage.
  Description: Goukakyuu no Jutsu is a fundamental katon ninjutsu technique which allows the user to freely control fire itself as it leaves their body. The ninja does the necessary hand seals, draws chakra from their mouth into their chest and them immediately exhales it. During this point, they then blow a stream of fire which erupts into a large sphere of flames. To better manage the flames the ninja will bring their hand to their mouth to control it.
