After systematically locking his apartment door behind him, Yukito stretched out his arms and lazily started to head on out. It was certainly way too early for this, but it couldn’t be helped. Sometimes, the temporary leading Iryou-nin in the village would be aware of emergency situations of Suna shinobi out on missions who would have suffered in some form or fashion on their individual missions. Unfortunately, not all cells could adopt the traditional motion of carrying at least one Iryou-nin given the significant drop in the Village’s numbers. Learning of such information from the home base would then benefit the available medics to immediately dispatch to the shinobis' locations. Yukito received a rude tapping on his window in the morning from a ninja hawk with a mission in the form of a written parchment outlining Yukito’s obligation to aide a Sunagakure shinobi who managed to hide himself from the aftermath of a battle and radio in for medical assistance. In a grumpy disposition, Yukito nearly threw something at the creature after opening his window, but moved to read the mission and subsequently accept it...
Now the Genin was already packed up and ready to leave the unmanned Village gates. He had already given his acceptance and mission confirmation through the returned ninja hawk to his superior while no clearance was needed of course. His breath mask covered his usual pouty expression as he carefully walked through the typical sandy atmosphere he’s grown to know and lo-… tolerate. Let it be known though that Yukito had no issue with going in this mission. If anything else, to get these kind of opportunities was always a blessing in disguise. Of course with the state of the village’s governmental structure, not many missions were really available, so having an interest in Iryou-nin training from the beginning really was paying off – after all, shinobi were always getting hurt, cynicism aside... it was just the damn bird waking him up early.
Luckily, the slight sandstorm was aiding him in moving slower than he really had to at first. He really had to get out of this lazy slump much sooner or later. Thinking back to the mission details as he travelled, there was 3-man squad of fellow Village shinobi who were looking to perform an intelligence mission in tandem with shinobi of a smaller Village; unfortunately, they were ambushed by rogue shinobi and ended in the team being severely injured. Only two of the three shinobi seemed to have returned to the Village pretty banged up, but the third member was thought to have been captured by the enemy as he was nowhere in sight. However, the third member managed to escape his barely his own life and patiently hid away until help comes. It wasn’t definite, but the guy really could be in critical condition or something. All the report said was that he simply needed medical attention.
On that note, Yukito started to sprint ahead with his arms behind his back at an even pace trying to clear his familiar sandy territory, as he needed to head for the location of the Land of Grass; not too far from the Land of Wind border.
