Appearance: Soulful and restless spirits fade through Kaida's elegant onyx eyed stare; perplexed and frozen within a timeless capsule, his soul seems forever tainted with foulness. A scowl, no perhaps maybe a smile faded and blurred into nothingness is all that will bless those that look upon his visage. His hair is as black as the night, a trait common among the Uchiha, and when let free of its' reigns falls gracefully down to his back. More often than not, the front is always combed and smoothened, while the rest of the mane is held together behind in a thin ponytail.
Due to his specialization in the art of Genjutsu, Kaida has let his physicality slip just a bit. He is in no way small or too scrawny however; recent training has toned the boy's body into something more admirable of a warrior. He is indeed muscular where it matters most; more-so noticeable in his legs via quickened movements and intristic footowork. Where he lacks in pure punching power, he makes up for with precise and angled slices with his blades.
Very few scars adorn the young Uchiha's figure, though his short life training, dodging, and combating the samurai have left him with a couple. Mostly minor, the only true scar Kaida has is on the western side of his chest, near his heart. Though thin and small (about the size of his palm), it's still deep enough to see from meters away.
Apparel: If familiar with his clan's customs, one would immediately be able to tell Kaida's heritage. Like the clan members before the invasion, he dresses in garbs typical of the Uchiha clan. Dressed in ebony, loose-fitted robe like clothing, with a high collared blackened shirt, the only thing missing from his wardrobe is the clan's fan symbol. In an effort to hide his shinobi roots, he has chosen not to openly flaunt his heritage. Instead, he prefers to let his eyes tell the tale. Kaida prefers short sleeve over long sleeve, and tends to wrap bandages from where his sleeves end to just before the begginning of his wrists. The same bandages extend from his slacks to about the ankle area, where typical sturdy combat boots reside.
Sometimes, he can be seen with open-fingered gloves on both hands. His blades are fastened horizontally across his back for ease of access. All his shinobi tools can be found within his pouch, strapped to either his left or ride side depending on his current mood. At times, the Uchiha will also don an all ebony cloak to disguise himself as some sort of wanderer or vagabond when in Samurai occupied territories to avoid suspicion.Chokuto [x2]

Description: A shuriken, like kunai, is one of the more basic weapons employed by ninja of all classes. They are sharpened, four-pronged metal stars, no more than a few inches long, and are extremely useful for throwing. Although small, they can be used to distract, or, if accurate enough, to kill. They have an open circle in the center, used for grabbing with a finger, to avoid cutting oneself, or to put thread through. The circle is also a benefit in aerodynamics, as it ensures more accurate trajectories.

[3] CognitionAlignment: Chaotic Nuetral; though thoughtful and often kind in his actions, the young Uchiha does whetever he feels is best at the time, for him. He tends to stray away from senseless acts of evil, but he doesn't put himself above such things.
Personality: Once a sensitive, over energetic child, the coming of the Samurai regime has morphed the boy's personality immensely. Though still kind at heart, he has grown insensitive to the actions around him; slavery, murder, torture, abduction-- apathetic almost, Kaida understands that he needs to adopt a similar mindset as those who hunt him in order to not only survive, but to avoid being captured. The constant struggle to protect his freedom has brought the blood of the Uchiha to boil over two-fold and as such, Kaida has an unquenchable thirst to become stronger. Strong willed, headstrong, and determined, most his days are spent honing on skills lacking.
And although Konohagakure fell plenty years ago... the 'will of fire' still burns strong within his young soul.
However, to survive in a world such a this, one needs more than brute strength alone. As cunning as he is dangerous, Kaida is a tactical-thinker above all else. Damn near on his lonesome, he had to learn how to acquire certain things without resorting to force or drawing attention to himself and those willing to aid him. He has taken the illusionary concept of his Genjutsu (& its tendency to fool those under its' influence) and applies it to his day to day operations. Whether it be using a simple disguise to sneak past an enemy outpost, or by pretending to be someone he isn't to gain the trust of someone who is to further his plots.
This ties hand-in-hand with his inconsitency to trust people. In a world where the shinobi are enslaved, and anyone bearing chakra is an enemy to the enslavers, friends and allies are hard to come by. He portrays many different facades, each one different than the last depending on the pertaining situation. The skills of observation are seemingly etched into Kaida's existence; whether it be from some kind of genetic gift passed through his bloodline or a blessing of natural talent, he was gifted with an exceptional ability to see. He pays close attention to the things around him, and an even closer eye on people. Why? He just does.. paranoia maybe.
If however, one were to break down such walls and actually become his friend.. well then his loyalty is unfathomable.

The offsrping of two powerful shinobi, Kaida lived a rather normal life within the walls of Konohagakure. His parents (names long forgotten) were well respected jounin of the village as well as powerful high ranking members of the Uchiha clan. The two had grown up together, passed the chuunin exams with one another- Together, they felt like they could do anything, and their baby was birthed from the sparkles of their love. A lovely baby boy who took after his mother more-so; his eyes were sharp like hers, his nose pointed like hers, his ears almost identical. Back then.. everything seemed like it was going perfect.
.. that was sixteen years ago. Everything was perfect.
.. but ten years ago. Everything changed.
Kaida was six at the time, and halfway through his first year at the academy. His mother watched over him mostly during that time, as she had retired shorty after giving birth in order to better take care of her son. His father, head-strong as always, continued his shinobi duties to keep the family stable. Despite it being his first year, Kaida was above average in his skills as a shinobi his age, able to perform the simplest of jutsus even before he started the academy. He had his mother to thank for that; she constantly worked with him on his chakra control as he grew older and even taught him how to perform the Great Fireball Technique.
Word had spread through the lands as each nation fell before the mighty swing of the Samurai blade. It started in Suna, and soon sprilled over into the Land of Earth. By the time they swept through and took over the Hidden Cloud, Konohagakure was well aware of the impending threat. All defensive and offensive measures were taken. It was offical; it was time for war once more. In the weeks before they attacked, Kaida's father had been coming up with a plan in case they weren't able to keep the village from being overrun. It wasn't that he'd thought they'd lose, despite every village falling beforehand-- he was trying to protect his family. And so, he called in an favor from an old friend.
Neither a shinobi or samurai, he was the perfect man for the job. They had met years back, and a favor done then was a favor repaid now. He was very good at hiding and maintaining a low profile, and that was his job-- to secure the boy and his mother and bring them to a safe place away from the reach of the samurai. They moved quickly, but like a lion to a gazelle did the samurai pounce upon Konohagakure. The attack wasn't to be expected so soon. It was only so recently that Mist fell. Under the mirage of the ensuing chaos, the man was only able to make it out of the village with just the boy, utterly defenseless on his own, clutched tightyly within his arms.

For the past ten years, Kaida and the man has successfully been able to avoid capture by the samurai. Nestled deep within the wilderness of Hi no Kuni, the two have managed to stay off the enemies trail. Known only as "the Sanctuary", Kaida has spent the last decade here training and learning new skills with the man. From the art of genjutsu, to the path of the hunt, to guerilla warfare tactics-- even to the art of the Shadow Clone-- the man has done his best to equip the young Uchiha for anything he might face in the upcoming days. On his own, Kaida has been interrupting samurai operations throughout the Land of Fire with a very small percentage of failures.
Even so, nobody that isn't an asset to him has seen his face clear enough to identify him; coupled with his skills in subterfuge and his proficiency with the clone technique, many throughout the lands have given him the moniker: "the Doppleganger Phantom".
