How drastically do high temperatures affect satetsu control? Will it prevent them from using higher rank techniques, or does it affect the control as a whole and decrease the speed at which techniques can be performed?

Also, at what point would Katon techniques be considered high enough in temperature?

My last question regards the following technique:

Special: Allows the user to be able to learn and utilize ANY Saton technique, as long as they use their Iron Sand as they cannot manipulate regular sand. Highest known rank determines rank of Saton jutsu that can be learned.
Description: Part of the Zantetsuken's rise to fame and power involved keen observation over members of the Saton Kekkei Touta that resided within Sunagakure. Through this, they would learn to control their own powers. And because of this, all clan members are taught to perform the very same techniques Saton masters perform, but with the added lethality of their own Iron Sand.
Domain: Zantetsuken. Satetsu Ryuuken.

I am aware that a Zantesuken does not control sand when performing techniques and uses the satetsu instead, but is Sand Dominion still needed to learn the saton techniques to use with the iron sand? Or does iron sand dominion replace the need for sand dominion in regards to fulfilling the prerequisite of the techniques?

Also, is it required to learn the Sand Release so that the Sand Techniques can be used through the iron sand? Or is that part negated as KG cannot learn Advanced Releases unless it is directly related to their KG, such as Yukina.

To keep it fair, I've equated heat control and loss of control depending on rank - in other words, Katon techs and items that are of equal level/rank to the Iron Sand will be enough special heat to disable the magnetism. As for how the heat affects it? Heat equal ranked stops the Sand completely; Heat one rank lower makes the Iron Sand harder to manipulate, kind of how Suigetsu had a hard time turning to water once he was shocked.

Regarding distance, you do not need to know Sand Dominion; the Iron Sand version from the clan suffices, since it's not regular sand you're controlling, it's Satetsu.

Finally, no, you don't need to know the KG because you'll never be able to actually use it, and because as it is all you're doing is imitating practical execution, nullifying the need for advanced knowledge of the fundamentals. As an Iron Sand user, you have the luxury of bypassing all the rules and going straight to the jutsu.
