Sensor types are shinobi who can detect others by sensing their chakra. They can sense chakra at their own discretion and can distinguish individuals by their unique chakra signatures.

Skilled sensor types can detect chakra within a radius of several dozen kilometers and can tell if a person is lying or under the effects of genjutsu. However, sensing chakra requires concentration and they must actively knead chakra and change to "sensory mode."

Sensor types can differentiate between different species, populations, and bloodlines based on the feel of their chakra. They often search for chakra while forming the Ram hand seal and closing their eyes.

The Mind's Eye of Kagura is a technique that allows the user to sense chakra from long distances with great detail. By closing their eyes and opening their mind's eye, the user can track chakra and perceive unusual chakra activity within a radius of fifty meters. They can also perceive a target's characteristics, location, and movements, including deducing its nature.

The ranks listed below correspond with a specific type of knowledge and determine the amount of chakra needed to sense it.

For example, basic releases are considered 'D' rank. To detect multiple releases, one must spend a 'D' rank for each release they wish to detect.


• D: Basic releases.
• C: Basic clans.
• B: Advanced releases & Kekkei Genkai.
• A: Lie and genjutsu detection.
• S: Chakra reserves and ninja grade.

Note: The cost to learn Mind's Eye of the Kagura is S-rank, but the cost to use it is determined by the type of chakra they're detecting (based on the ranks listed above).
