REITOURYU -- Spirit Sword -- 霊刃流
This discipline isn't as mystical as you think, but a little funky. If you don't believe in the saying "the katana is the spirit of the Samurai", this style isn't for you. The style uses the skillset of the "spirit" of the katana. It doesn't mean that the sword is possessing the user to make them a walking swordsmanship master and badass. It means by tapping into a portion of the katana's "heart", can the user utilize the move's greatest potential (this according to their skill level). There are many swords made for the Reitou Style, each having its own strengths and weaknesses. There are ten branches of Reitou:

Kikuichimonji - Sanguine Blossom [Satsujinken]
Masamune - Ethereal Embrace [Mujinken]

Special: Ability to call on the sword's techniques, spirit and "heart".
Description: This is the basis of Reitouryu. when the master gives a potential student a test to see if he's eligible to be a practitioner. He gives them a sword with a nameless spirit inside it, usually a weaker spirit of a passed swordsman. The user must go inside the swords consciousness and find their name. If they cannot, they cannot learn the Reitouryu swordsmanship.

Special: Decent increase in Power, Speed, Technique and Potency of Reitoujutsu [Spirit Sword Techniques]. Increase is varied dependent on the user's Chakra/Stamina Pool in XP.

Description: First, the user would hold the sword hilt with their left hand as their right hand goes over the unsheathed blade looking like a claw. This makes the user "tear" apart the bond of the sword and subjugating the weapon to do the user's bidding. The user would channel their mind and force the "spirit" of the sword to fight with them. This is the more rudimentary techniques before refining the skill and becoming more mature with the Sword. While it grants the user to tap into the swords abilities, the sword would gradually wear and tear internally and the sword's "heart" and "spirit" would be broken as would the sword and making it a regular sword. This also applies to the grade and quality of the sword. Also, each sword has a different spirit, attribute and personality so trying to use this technique on a blade that is more violent and doesn't see the user worthy of wielding it, will corrupt the user. Another side effect is to the corruption of the practitioner, the spirit will contaminate the user's will and spirit and will be the embodiment of the sword and will go berserk. Thus being labeled a Toyo [Sword Demon]. If not properly taken care of, the user will be a Toyo forever as long as the sword is still intact. Also like most increases, is a time limit of use. Depending on the result percentage equals the limit in time in a thread:

Special: Increases the Power, Speed, Technique and Potency of Reitoujutsu by 1
Description: Another technique of using the sword's spirit to enter the user's body. But this technique is the subjugation of self. The user would take the stance of holding the sword with their left hand with the tip facing upward. Then he or she will place the sword into their chest stabbing themselves but not in a vital spot [that's just stupid]. This method would make the spirit take over in a more controlled way but like Soujuu, it has the same side-effects with an additional one. The sword spirit would totally take over the individual if they don't have the mental fortitude, inner "heart" and chakra/ stamina pool. Time Limit is same as above:

Special: Gives the increase of Power, Speed, Technique and Potency of Reitoujutsu of the Practitioner by 1 and a half. Also adds a level of Control need to perform the Technique without being subjugated and corrupted.
Description: The imperfect unity of spirit and body between the sword and the practitioner. The user would place their sword in front of their body and would make a 45 degree tilt with the hilt to move the sword, then the aura of the sword would swirl around the person's body in a thin layer of energy. Then the practitioner's appearance would change slightly. Their voice and mannerisms would be that of the sword spirit's and having their human consciousness. One eye would be of the Kenrei and the other of the practitioner and thier voice would be distorted. This is the more stable of the Soujuu and Reibai But like everything imperfect, this isn't the pinnacle of the style. They can access the sword's ability via Reitoujutsu but it will be unrefined and rough while in that state. Time limit as follows

Special: Doubles the overall ability of the practitioner when using Reitoujutsu. Mastered Control of Kenshin - Heart of the Sword. Able to use the sword's Reitoujutsu effectively without breaking the sword and spirit.
Description: The perefect version of the Unity techniques with the Kenshin. The appearance would be unchanged, similar to that of the transformation of Sage Mode, but with a tattoo of the kanji of the sword spirit on their body. Through months of training, the user can access this state by meditating with their sword and find their "heart". Then the user MUST fight (IC) the sword spirit within their mind, and win (Must be approved by Staff of victory). After the fight, the user has granted access to the mode call Kenjin - Man of the Sword. The stance of this technique is holding the unsheathed sword and turning it clockwise to a 90 degree turn and the sword will slightly glow and the technique is done. The sword would slowly "howl" and the spirit's energy would calmly envelop the practitioner and would give off a small controlled pulse of energy. Unless training for a long time, this state is taxing on the body in terms of the massive overflow of Kenki [Sword energy] in the person's body
