From the moment the subject introduced himself with a forced smile I could tell there was a lot of issues with self-esteem. He barely looked me in my eyes and kept hiding behind his hair the entire time. He mentioned he had an older brother that his parents and peers favored. We touched briefly on how the other kids bullied, teased, and humiliated him on a daily basis in the academy. Overall he seemed like a typical unassertive wallflower, but an otherwise kindhearted kid. Despite his anxiety when around others all of his answers were very articulate for someone his age. I took a glance at the notes from his academy sensei and to my surprise his written tests were flawless. Overall I can deduce he's someone of high intellect with a moderate case of avoidant personality disorder along with an inferiority complex. I decided to shift the conversation to more a lighthearted tone to get him comfortable with me. I told him to tell me more about himself.
