When the group finished the introductions, Ekitai handed the scroll to Reiko and asked her to lead the squad. She grabbed the scroll and opened it , reading over the mission for a few times. The objective was to find and kill a few very large wolves that have been spotted in the area. It was not that difficult of a mission and with Reiko skills as an Inuzuka it would make things a lot easier. For what she lacked in strength, her two teammates would make up. Arashi might have a few problems with the idea of killing one of her own, but a mission is a mission and needs to be completed no matter what. She nodded in agreement. Yes, her being the leader for this mission made the most sense.

Reiko closed her eyes and sniffed. Although this would look silly to somebody who did not know what she was doing, it is very useful. The technique was the most simple of the Inuzuka clan, the Inuzuka no Jutsu. The sense of smell was very accurate and as long as the wolves were in range there would be no problems finding them.

"My range is 20 meters. As long as the targets are in that area this will be simple."

She informed her team and thought for a moment. There was no wind and that made it both easier and harder. If the wolves scent was carried on the wind then at least they would know they are somewhat close by. But without that Reiko would have to be exactly in range to pick up any trace of the scent. Suddenly, she smelt something. Trees...grass...Wolf..? Arashi smelled it too, because she growled and put her tail up. It was coming farther North, near the edge of the village and by a lot of trees. Both couldn't tell weather it was in or out of the village but there was one way to find out.

"North. Near the edge of the village. I can't pinpoint the location. "

Reiko motioned for them to follow her and set off. She ran forward, rushing past people mumbling 'sorry' but finally jumped to the roofs when she realized that would be much easier and polite. They neared the edge of the village and Reiko stopped to find the wolves again. This time, it was clear that they where just outside the village gates. She set off again without even bothering to tell her team where she was going, entrusting them to just follow her.

She ran through the gates. Wolves are close now... The group went north for a moment before coming face to face with the target. There were five of them, each fighting over a piece of some kind of animal meat. Reiko told Arashi to stick back, wanting the team to get a good look at the other wolves so they would be sure not to confuse them even with the huge difference in size. She scanned them over, memorizing ever detail. The size, the features, the color. Reiko was ready.

Reiko lay on her couch, staring blankly out a nearby window and rubbing the fabric of her Hitai-ate absentmindedly. She looked over at her ninken, Arashi, who was curled in a ball and sleeping near the door. The girl glanced at the clock and saw that, once again, she was late for her mission. Standing up, she grabbed her weapons and kunai holster and slid them into the appropriate spot, the holster being on her upper thigh and weapon into a sheath on her back.


She walked out the door, nudging Arashi lightly with her foot on the way by. The wolf stood up and followed her master. Outside, the weather was normal for Kiri which was mist, mist and more mist. Reiko decided to stop at a Ramen shop since she never had a chance to grab breakfast. The closest one was owned by a sweet old man and his wife. She sat down and smiled at the old mans wife, who smiled back and handed her a bowel of miso ramen. Reiko nodded in thanks and grabbed a pair of chopsticks.

She finished quickly and pulled out a bunch of change from her pocket, slapping it on the counter and walking away quickly in case it wasn't enough. Reiko was already about half an hour late, she did not want to be even more.

Quickly, Reiko ran toward the mission compound and up the stairs with Arashi slowly trailing behind. Most of the shinobi had already been assigned their mission and were leaving to go get their supplies. She turned to a guard and asked him what her mission was. He grumbled and pointed to a scroll. Reiko picked it up and opened it, revealing her mission.

It didn't state the specifics, it just said that she was to find two people, who just happen to be people she was unfamiliar with, and that was all.

"How am I supposed to find somebody I have never met! This is ridiculous, I -"

She was cut off by the guard who tapped on her shoulder and pointed to a room.

"One of the people is in there."

He said and went back to whatever it is that he was doing. Reiko nodded and walked toward the room.
