Instead of mist covering the entire continent, here it was raining. It wasn’t a heavy rain, no, it was honestly like a mist itself seeing as it was such a steady and light rain. The forestry was a bit denser as well, though visibility was much clearer here aside from the trees. If one could see through the trees then their visibility would be roughly 10 meters of accurate sight. The humidity and air density were something Hisan would have to get used to though; as that could possibly affect his fighting if he did not. The rumors and his travels had led him to the center of Ame No Kuni, however, he had yet to see the village gates of Amegakure. He had been told that the village was in ruins now, this would also make things more difficult as there would be no giant buildings to search for. It mattered not, he knew he had to find this village. He had to know if this was truly the Kekkai clan and if they were truly his people.

Looking around, Hisan knew this was going to be a long day, as he did not intend on sleeping until he had found those gates. No matter how long it took, or who he had to go through…

He did not expect looking for a lost dog would take up his entire day. Hell, he had already helped six old women with other tasks along the way. It seemed every person he talked to about the dog, thought it was just so wonderful of him to be helping the community, and figured he might as well help them out too! If there was one thing he had learned from this mission, it was to never again ask for a d rank mission. C ranks sure took a lot longer, but they were also more interesting and definitely more exciting. Just then, he began to hear the sounds of what he believed were a dog yelping. Perhaps this was the break he was looking for! Running as quickly as he could, he would still have to take frequent breaks to try and figure out the location of the yelping before he could switch directions and continue his search. It wasn’t long and he found himself standing in front of an alley, but all he could see were a few kids near his age. What could these kids be doing?

"Come one! You’re going to have to learn to fight back if you want to be a fighting dog of ours!"

No, could it be? The reason he had spent all day and couldn’t find the dog, was that these kids had trapped him in an alley and were torturing him! Hisan was instantly infuriated. As if keeping him busy all day wasn’t enough, now they were torturing the poor dog. He wondered how long they had been at it; had they just started, or had they been doing this to the poor creature all day. It mattered not, what did matter, was what he was about to do to end this situation and get this dog back to its rightful owner.

"Hey you brats, didn’t anyone ever teach you that it’s poor manners to pick on someone or something weaker than you? Well, who am I to judge, I’m about to do the same thing!"

As his words finished escaping his lips, the boys would turn around to see him walking towards them from roughly 9 meters away. In nearly an instant, he was standing between them and the dog which was shivering in a corner now. The next thing the boys would feel, is the ground shaking and tiny pieces of rock hitting them. What they would hear, is the sound of what one could only assume was from an explosion. As they would slowly turn around, they would see Hisan’s left arm extended towards the wall. There would be a 2 meter diameter by 1 foot deep crater in the wall where his fist was placed. Looking at Hisan, the boys would also notice he had grown quite a bit in size since he disappeared from their site. Never even having to turn around, he knew the dog was safe from the sounds of the stick dropping and a mixture of screams and pounding footsteps.

Letting out a long sigh, Hisan would return to his normal size. Kneeling down, he would extend a hand to the dog, and after much sniffing and sweet talking, there was a moment of petting. After which, the dog even allowed himself to be picked up. Lifting the dog into his arms, it would be time to head to the address the Mizukage’s office had given him for the owner. Roughly thirty minutes of walking would pass before they would arrive at the small shack in the ghetto. No wonder there had been no reward money offered, the lady was poor in income. But what she lacked in currency, she obviously made up for in heart and soul. She was happy, and now with who was possibly her only friend returned, all she could do was smile and cry. It truly was a happy sight, so much so that Hisan no longer regretted the mission. He still told himself he would never accept another d rank mission again, but hell, who truly knows what the future holds? All he knew was, it was now dark, and time to eat. That and the fact that the next time those kids saw a stray dog they would probably cry brought a smile to his face as he walked away. It had truly been a successful day in Kirigakure.

It was only noon, and Hisan was already frustrated and talking to himself. These were the signs of a teen genin under stress. Already concerned with what he should do about those nin he had witnessed at the Mizu No Kuni docks, not he was given a mission to find a stray dog. Of all things, this is something some neighbor kid with nothing better to do should be doing. Not a nin of his caliber, or at least so he thought. It was quite obvious that the Mizukage and his employees disagreed; otherwise he would be doing something much more exciting. Regardless, this was his mission today and he would get it done regardless. Apparently some lady had lost her dog and no one else was capable of finding it. How this was possible he was not quite sure. The sun was bright, it was noon, and the dog had never run away from home before. In all honesty these events made no sense. Why would a dog just run away all of a sudden if it had never done so before and was being treated correctly?

He was finally in the area in which the dog was last seen. It was supposed to be a male, a black lab, and he will supposedly answer to the name CoCo. Whether this was true or not, he was not entirely sure. At least, he sure as hell wouldn’t answer to CoCo, and he wouldn’t expect any self respecting animal to either. Hisan had a feeling this would be a long day. Starting on the upper South West side of town, he would begin by describing the dog’s features to people and asking if they had seen a dog matching. Of course, none of them had. This would go on for a steady two hours before he would decide to move on to another block of the town. Now in the lower section of the South West, there were too many leads to go on. Several times he had chased down leads that turned out to be the right color of animal, but the wrong type all together, including chasing cats. He could see now, this was going to be a very annoying mission…

"Where… where did he go?!"

It was in an instant, after a single hand seal, that Hisan had vanished from the man’s sight. The guy was pissed; he was only a meter away from him how could he have missed? As quickly as he had vanished, he reappeared. Except now, the guy looking for him was up to his neck into the ground. He too was now disabled and unable to continue the fight. The fat man was dead, the tall man was unconscious, the baseball player probably had brain damage if he wasn’t dead, and the loud mouth was now under ground up to his neck. They were all out of commission, all within 5 meters of each other. That only left one loose end, the king of shit hill.

Turning to see the man behind the current shit storm, he was definitely older than most of his followers, and apparently a bit more intelligent as he had yet to speak or rush to fight.

"Why don’t you join my ranks kid? You seem skilled enough, join me, we can take over Mizu No Kuni!"

"Take… take over… Mizu No Kuni? AAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You have to be out of your mind guy. If you think Akira wouldn’t kill me now, all the way from Kirigakure, just for speaking before killing you. Now then, I’d like to get home before dinner."

As his words ended, his arms would fly forward, stretching out twelve meters. This easily covered the distance as the man couldn’t have been more than six meters from Hisan to start. This prey seemed to be a bit smarter, as he had already launched forward, but the speed of a tai user would prove to be too much for the man. Moving faster, with his arms wrapping around his prey, Haguchi would be stopped in his tracks. Lifting the man approximately five meters into the air, he would move to place the man in the center of the others, and slam him down head first into the ground before releasing him. The man was in shock from the crash, he would be dazed for more than a moment.

Rat, dog, dragon, bird, horse, monkey, tiger, ram, serpent, ox…

Suddenly the ground would start shifting. As Hisan ran to make sure he was not within the reach of the technique, it would already begin to swallow up all of the men he had disabled. Two unconscious, one of which is possibly dead, one stuck in the ground, and the other trying to figure out what is going on after having his head bashed into the ground. The only one of them who could see what was going on was in a pure panic as he could not move to do anything about it. The entire ground under them for a twenty meter radius had begun to swirl, large rocks and small boulders had begun to rise up and move with the earth as it turned into a whirlpool. The men were all being dragged down, one screaming, two not knowing they were quickly being led to their deaths, and the last gurgling as he would sink still not knowing exactly what was going on.

As the technique finished, Hisan would let out a long sigh, at the end of which he would be back to his normal size. It was done, the earth was standing still, and even if the men had survived the whirlpool of rocks and boulders they would not survive the suffocation of being stuck eight or more meters underground for very long. He could now go home. Dusting his hands off, he would begin his march back to Kirigakure. He already had to eat lunch out here, he was not about to treat dinner with the same disrespect. No, he could already hear the ramen shop calling his name…

In all honesty, he felt it as well. Some idiot had decided to crack him in the back of the head with a limb, no matter; he would simply shrug it off. However, it would anger him enough to go ahead and push his body to its current maximum size. In the process, he would find he would squeeze the man too hard with his snake arm and thus blood would spray as the fat man’s body would give under the pressure and his hand would pop off and land roughly a meter away. Releasing the jutsu and turning around, he would see the man who had hit him from behind.

The guy was actually a boy. He seemed to be the same age, perhaps a year or two older, and roughly the same height and weight as Hisan before his transformation. He had light hair and his complexion showed the multiple scars on his face.

"Hey you, the fuck you doing in our area?"

Two more had appeared. This was beautiful, he had found them all. In all honesty, he didn’t even care enough to ask who was who; he was ready to end this. Suddenly, both of his arms would stretch out, both rocketing towards the legs of the fool who had hit him from behind. The man’s legs would immediately give and drop him to the ground. Immediately following his collapse, the man would feel an enormous strike hit him dead center of the top of his head. Snake arms retracted, Hisan had launched another attack to follow. The ground underneath the man would crack and rumble from the sheer force of the blow. Now that he was taken care of, Hisan could deal with the other two, who were apparently already running at him. No, he was wrong; it was only one of them running at him.

The younger looking of the two, who was of average height and build, had dark hair, and a cruel laugh. This fool had no idea that he had just ran to his death.

"MWUAHAHAHAHA! YOU FOOL! NOW YOU DIEEEE!"

It was just under six hundred yards from the western docks when two men stepped from either side of the path he had found and decided to block him from moving forward. They could be just random thugs. No, that thought was silly. Besides, even if they were, they sure had chosen a bad day to come out of hiding and a bad nin to chose to try and rob. The one on the left was slim and tall, perhaps six foot three and one hundred and eighty pounds. Light colored hair, a cocky smirk, and a single scar on his face running across his lip. This guy thought he was god’s gift to badass. The one to the right was a bit husky, perhaps it was fat, but his face did not really show it. What the short man, appearing to be around five foot nine and weighing two hundred and thirty pounds, did show was a face that had appeared to have seen a few too many fires in its day.

"One of you two want to explain what you are doing out here? Or perhaps you would rather I wait and let your boss Higuchi explain for you?"

The reactions on their faces were enough for him to confirm their identities and make his move. They had looked at each other, quickly, and then turned their attention back to him. By that time it was too late, with his speed and agility he had not only already ran up on them, but he had already launched himself into the air above the tall man. Before they could figure out where he had disappeared to, the tall man felt his elbow crashing down into the top of his skull. The man’s legs had already given out on him and his body was lowering as Hisan’s feet touched the ground. Forming a few hand seals as he turned, the fat man would have no chance to run. Extending his right arm, the arm would transform into a large snake from just above the elbow and down. The snake would extend rapidly and begin wrapping around the short man’s body. As the short man was merely three meters away at best, the snake could completely wrap around the man’s body from his ankles up to his throat and begin constricting. Fear was all that could be seen in the man’s eyes, and rightfully so.

Luckily for him, he had brought a lunch for himself just in case of such circumstances. All the same, he caught a couple of rats for his friends to have, as he did so hate to leave them to watch as he ate. After the three had enjoyed their meal, it was time to hunt again. This prey however, seemed quite elusive for Hisan. How were they able to hide in these woods for so long? They would have to travel to a town to seek food and supplies, but he had already scouted areas around the western towns. This only left one conclusion, the docks.

Immediately he would change directions and begin making his way toward the western docks. Two possibilities were alive in his mind, either they were using the docks to steal food and supplies as it came in, or they were preparing to make a getaway from Mizu No Kuni. Regardless, he was determined to show up and put an end to their nonsense. Glancing around as he ran, Hisan would notice his snake friends had remained behind. They were probably sleeping in the shade at this moment since their stomachs were full. This was for the best, though they were not human, he would have worried for their safety the same if a battle broke out. That was one less thing he would have to concentrate on when things get ugly.

The air was beginning to change. The wind had a lot more moisture as it blew, and the mist was now slightly thinner, allowing for better visibility. He could now see accurately up to five meters in any direction compared to the previous sight range of two to three meters. This would provide his enemy with a bit more of an advantage, as he did not exactly require his eyes to see. No, he was far too dangerous to rely completely on normal instincts and qualities. Hisan would take this time to drop down and begin walking, as the docks were no more than a thousand meters ahead at this point. He wanted to be on foot from here forward.

Hisan had already spent two hours of his morning in search of some low life thugs who had apparently angered the Mizukage enough to want them dead. It was his first mission in which he was ordered to carry out a death sentence. This would prove his worthiness to continue carrying out missions for Kirigakure. Every so many meters the boy would hiss, or even take in deep breaths, but would find he was no closer than before. It was almost discouraging, having to search the entire western side of Mizu No kuni for such weaklings. Were he any less of a nin, the young man would have been furious at the previous shinobi who chased these same men and allowed them to escape. They would not share the same fate this time.

In one swift motion, the lad had bent his knees and leapt onto a tree limb before leaping onto the next. Why had he chosen the high route instead of the lower with his snakes? Possibly out of pure boredom. He still did not want to move too fast and risk running into an ambush, but he was quickly growing tired of finding nothing as well. The leaves were dark green, and passing him by fairly quickly as he leapt through the forestry. Glancing down, he would notice his companions below were slithering and managing to keep up with him quite easily. Perhaps they would come across something, a clue as to the whereabouts of their prey. Looking up, the young man would notice the sky was already beginning to turn quite a brighter shade of blue as the Sun had begun coming out to its full extent.

"Tch, really? I was hoping to be back before lunch, but I guess I’ll have to deal with the crowds at the ramen shop today. Oh well."

His words were followed by a long sigh. He truly did hate being around large crowds, but if he did not hurry and find his prey, he would definitely have to deal with them today…
