“Woman? You like your eight years old.” She replied with utmost honest, Helia truly did not notice any age differential between her and Shi. “I think they put you in a squad because a one woman army wouldn’t stand to be able to do much… unless that one woman was a girl… named Helia… but then that wouldn’t be a one woman army, it would be a one girl army…” She talked senselessly and at least her talkative personality prevented her from complaining about their agonizingly slow pace. Being that she was young, anything that didn’t involve running happened to fit under the slow category for the genin.
“What if I took your treat and then ran up the mountain. We could tell dear old Raikage that you did it too. Wouldn’t that be a fair exchange.” She laid out the proposal in a joking manner but she still had the slight hope that Shi would accept the offer. The weapon removed from her hip-side didn’t catch Helia’s attention till she placed the senbon into her mouth and although she saw it as an odd quirk, she brushed it aside. Maybe she should take out an arrow from her holster and bite it up mountain… on second thought, that didn’t seem too safe.
The sickness she mentioned worried Helia, not because she cared much about her partner’s safety, but more so because she feared she might be endangered by it. “So what, do you randomly start vomiting blood or some crap like that. Best not do it around me though, I don’t wanna’ catch whatever it is you have. You best not start having some random fits or whatnot when we’re up the mountain, I don’t think I’ll have too much of an inner conflict deciding between continuing and helping you out.” She had a way of saying things when you weren’t too sure if she was being honest or simply joking around. Most times, you hoped Helia merely joked. “Why d’you become a ninja? Why not just stay home and open up some shop or something like that. I doubt Sick-Shi would be able to bring peace to the world being sick n’ all. You’re likelier to bring about some plague.” She stated heartlessly as the duo continued their pilgrimage up the imposing mountain. The talk distracted them from the long journey they were undertaking.
