Danger Close

Special: The user nocks an arrow, aims, and fires one shot in half the time it normally takes them to do so. Danger Close can be used only once per IC day, and must be performed before any other attacks. Can not be combined with Suppressing Fire, regardless of masteries.
Description: While Danger Close is arguably the most simplistic of all the Watcher techniques, that does not mean that it is the weakest. To the contrary, it is actually one of the most useful techniques an archer can have, as its primary function is to defend oneself against close-ranger fighters, the natural bane of all archers. After repeating the same nock and fire motions hundreds, if not thousands of times, an archer possesses the ability to briefly move purely through reflex and instinct, firing off a hastily aimed shot twice as fast as normal.

Suppressing Fire [D, C]

Special: Rank learned determines increase in firing-rate. Must be used before any other attacks in a turn. Lasts one full turn before needing to be re-cast. Can not be combined with Danger Close, regardless of masteries.

Description: By practicing their ability to draw, knock, aim and fire an arrow, the user can learn to quickly lay a lot of damage downrange. Suppressing Fire is aptly named, for its function is, literally, to suppress a target through overwhelming fire.

Description: By firing an arrow in an arc instead of in a straight line, the user can “lob” an arrow, allowing it to travel further distances than normal. The downside to this art is that by curving the arrows trajectory, you are in fact adding more to the distance it needs to travel, thus increasing the amount of time it takes to actually reach the target.

Special: Rank used determines damage stacked to shot. Can only be used with non-”special” arrows.
Description: Mastering the art of bonus tension is one of the many overlooked fundamentals of being an archer. By holding out past the point of firing, one can enhance the arrow far beyond it's initial damage. The technique, therefore, is aptly named “One Shot One Kill” due to its frequent tendency to pierce through defenses and outright kill an enemy.

Description: The technique is one of the hallmarks of the Watcher style, firing more arrows than a normal person would believe is possible. It's been said that with proper mastery of the technique, the user can fire up to six at a time with all the ability they fire a normal one.

Ricochet [LEARNED TWICE]

Special: Allows archer to ricochet an arrow off of solid surfaces. When first learned, the user can ricochet the arrow off of one surface. Can be relearned up to nine times, increasing number of times arrow can ricochet by one. After each ricochet, arrow range and speed is decreased by 10%.
Description: A tricky technique that exemplifies how cunning an archer can be. By bouncing their arrows off the surface of an object, they undercut the opponent’s ability to defend against it, striking deep into the target when they least expect it.

Description: One of the more interesting techniques within the Watcher arsenal. The Air Burst technique is performed by, seemingly, just shooting an arrow almost straight up into the air. At least, that's how it looks to casual observers. The reality however is that the arrow isn't shot straight up, but rather at a trajectory that is so steep that it appears to be straight. The arrow is launched in such a way that as it is fired in an almost straight line, it also comes down in an almost straight line. Air Burst therefore is potent when used in a function similar to artillery, as it can bypass most defenses simply by coming from an angle most people never think to defend against. A skilled archer can launch an arrow with such accuracy that it can go high enough to stay in the air for quite some time, long enough even for an unfocused enemy to forget that it's there!

Description: By putting the proper spin on an arrow, similar to throwing a curveball, the user can actually cause the the arrow's trajectory to curve in mid-flight. Many an unlucky individual has died with a confused look on their face after having been hit by an arrow that they were sure they had dodged.

Dynamic • Action (Dainamikku • Akushon) [LEARNED ONCE]

Special: Up to one punch and kick can be performed per use, plus one more of each one each time retrained. May be learned 5 times (4 retrains). Every 2 retrains increases tier consumption by one.
Description: Without warning, the user launches themselves at the opponent from whichever stance they were holding at whichever angle they can come in, and proceed to deliver a barrage of weak but quick punches and kicks.

Dynamic • Entry (Dainamikku • Entorii) [LEARNED ONCE]

Type: Offensive / Taijutsu
Range: 0 - 5 meters
Chakra: Low
Special: Entry extends up to 5 meter; each time retrained, the distance at which they 'enter' increases by 1 meter.
Description: After encountering a distracted opponent, the user leaps towards an opponent from their blind-spot, delivering a quick, deliberate kick to the face that is meant to catch them off guard and knock them out.

Reppuu (Violent Wind) [LEARNED ONCE]

Special: Affects up to one opponent per kick, plus one more each time retrained, as long as opponent's are within the 5 meter vicinity of the kick.
Description: Using their quickness and agility, the user moves low to the ground, dropping and delivering a spinning kick to sweep their opponent off their feet.

Raiken (Thunder Fist) [LEARNED ONCE]

Special: Each time retrained, the user spins once more. Every spin increases Raiken's attack grade and stack one Mid chakra consumption. May be learned 8 times (5 retrains).
Description: Yet another wild and unpredictable Goken technique, the user proceeds to rush at their opponent with all their might, jump and then spin to gain momentum, so that they may lay a powerful strike onto their target.

Shoufuu (Rising Wind) [LEARNED ONCE]

Range: 0 - 5 meters
Chakra: Mid
Special: Sends the victim or item flying up to 5 meters up in the air, plus 1 more each time retrained.
Description: Using their quickness and agility, the user will perform a highly swift upwards kick at their opponent or at a weapon they are wielding, sending either or flying in the air.

Kage Buyo (Shadow of the Dancing Leaf)

Special: If used right after the upper kick, user falls perfectly in the opponent's back blind spot.
Description: A combo technique where one follows the opponent, closely matching his or her body's movement, just like a leaf that dances in the air is followed by its shadow. The technique is usually preceded by a swift upper kick that will launch the target into the air. It is mainly used to position an opponent into a vulnerable aerial position

Senpuu (Whirlwind)

Description: Using their quickness and agility, the user charges at their target and quickly spins their body in place, performing a flying round house kick on those opponents within the user'srange of attack.

Dai Senpuu (Great Whirlwind) [LEARNED THRICE]

Type: Offensive / Taijutsu
Range: 0 - 5 meters
Chakra: Mid
Special: Each retrain adds one roundhouse, and each kick that lands does "C" ranked damage. May be learned 8 times (7 retrains).
Description: The second evolution of Senpu, the user now charges at the opponent with such force that their kick now delivers considerable power, to the point bones could be broken.
