“You know you aren’t that bad of an opponent. You move with finesse, and those tentacles are keeping me occupied, as well as keeping me at a distance, I can’t really attack from without you countering it in a matter of seconds. If I’m going to defeat you then I’m going to have to find a way to get around those four tentacles of yours.” Kintaro said as two of the squid man’s tentacles shot towards him.

Kintaro jumped over them, only for the tentacle to curve and grab his ankles, tossing him ten meters into the air. Kintaro was prepared for this however, and as the squid man attempted to grab him on his way down, Kintaro threw a hikari down towards the main body of the squid, and turned his head to avoid being blinded by the light bomb.

As soon as he felt the tentacles loosen around his ankles, he flipped and landed on his feet as the squid man was trashing about, temporarily blinded. Kintaro did another set of hand seals, and the same ball of lightning appeared in his hands and he threw it towards the squid. Kintaro broke out into a grin as it made impact with the creature’s torso, knocking the creature to the ground.

Kintaro walked closer to the squid man, as he did so he placed his knuckle busters on and jumped at the man; punching him in the face several times, knocking him back a few meters. The squid retaliated by attempting to grab Kintaro with his tentacles, only for Kintaro to punch each tentacle away before jumping back and taking his knuckle busters off.

“I take my previous statement back, I just figured out how to take you out for good, and it’ll all happen in the next two minutes.” While his words were confident, Kintaro doubted if he could do it in the allotted time he had given himself. However, he would try, and if by some miracle he managed to succeed then he knew he was getting better.

He stood in the arena for the third night in a row, and frowned as his opponent walked over to him. The beast was close to two meters tall and had several long tentacles that moved in every direction. It was humanoid as it walked on two legs but other than that it was nothing more than a simple squid man. As the announcer yelled for the fight to begin, Kintaro preformed hand seals and after he finished a ball made of lightning two meters in diameters appeared between his hands and he threw it towards the squid man.

The squid man tilted his head before he curved his body in a way that caused the lightning bolt to pass by him harmlessly, causing Kintaro to take off running towards him. As he closed the distance to five meters, the creature shot a large burst of ink towards Kintaro.

Out of instinct, Kintaro protected his eyes, by covering them with his hands, as he was covered with the sticky black substance, and as he moved his hands from in front of his eyes he was grabbed by one of the creature’s tentacles and thrown into the air before being grabbed again and slammed him into the ground. The squid man spoke, but it wasn’t a language Kintaro knew and at the end, Kintaro was positive he had heard laughter.

However, instead of being filled with anger; Kintaro felt the pain rush through his entire body in seconds. Kintaro attempted to stand up as the squid man retracted his tentacles, but as he shakily stood he fell back over to his knees. The squid man, as he neared Kintaro, lifted his tentacles and attempted to bring them down on Kintaro, who jumped out of the way and did a series of hand seals as he did so, in the middle of the air. Once he finished them, he threw a ball made of lightning at the squid man, who jumped back and Kintaro landed as the ball made contact with the ground, before dispersing. Kintaro cursed.

As he had seen the first time he had to throw the lightning javelin precisely at the right distance or it would be ineffective, and with the speed and power the rhino came at him with he would have to be a distance away from the beast or it would plow into him before he even got the chance to complete the jutsu.

Kintaro was cut out of his thoughts as he added chakra to legs and jumped out of the rhino’s path, and jumped three more times until he was a safe distance from the beast once more, at a total of about twenty five meters. He only had one shot at this and he would make it count. It was either he would take the beast down or it would take him down, and he would do all he could to ensure it wasn't him.

As he did the hand seals the beast turned towards him, and began to run. He finished the hand seals as the beast closed the distance to twenty meters. He held his hand in the sky and the lightning bolt materialized in his hand, He cocked his arm back at the armored rhino was ten meters away.

He threw the lightning bolt as the rhino drew closer, and watched as it came into contact with the beast. The lightning bolt changed shape until it was a cylinder shaped storm that continuously struck the beast causing it to fall to the ground, unconscious seconds before it made contact with Kintaro.

Kintaro raised his hands into the air and he let out a victory cry as he made his way to the door to be let out the arena. That was two victories in two days straight, and he would try his hardest to continue the streak until he bested every beast in the arena.

As they released the rhino, immediately, it started off charging towards him. Watching as the beast drew closer to him, Kintaro wasted no time and did a set of hand seals and a lightning bolt appeared in his hand, and he threw it towards the beast as if it was a javelin, only for the lightning bolt to disperse a few feet away from the rhino’s head, which continued to charge towards Kintaro.

Kintaro did another hand seal, and as the rhino slammed his horn into him he was replaced with a log and Kintaro appeared ten meters to the left of the beast clapping. The rhino turned towards him once again and began to charge towards him once more. Kintaro jumped into the air and round housed the rhino in the head only for his foot to be flooded with pain, and he flipped in the air and landed on it delicately about ten feet from the creature.

“It seems as if I can’t defeat you with Taijutsu.” Kintaro said and he did a hand seal and Shunshined ten meters back.

Kintaro did the hand seals once more, but was forced to stop as the rhino came running into him, and he was forced to jump over it, performing a flip as he did so to get cheers from the crowd. “Good evasion by Sato Kintaro, now let’s see if he can find a way to go from dodging to counter attacking this metal covered beast of destruction.” The announcer called out as Kintaro gasped for air, as he jumped back three more times.

It was at that moment that Kintaro looked upon the creature’s armor what it was. Not only was it the ultimate defense for an unstoppable beast, but it was also a perfect lightning conductor. He just had to make sure he timed it perfectly.

He arrived at the coliseum and made his way to the dungeon once more. He was buzzed in and he made his way to the same caretaker. “You know I never got your name.”

“Hiroshi the Caretaker, I was a Jounin for Kumogakure but due to numerous injuries I can no longer be sent on missions, so I serve my village by making sure the coliseum always has a match going on. Someone has to keep the income from the bets coming on in.” The caretaker said before smacking Kintaro on his back hard. “Speaking of which, you earned the village over one hundred thousand ryo from everyone who bet against you.” Kintaro nodded before the caretaker started walking away from him. “Come with me so I can show you your next opponent.” Kintaro followed him and they came to a large caged rhino that was covered with steel armor. The horns had been fitted with steel covers, and the rhino repeatedly bashed into the cage in an attempt to break free.

“You’re mad if you think I can defeat that! Look at it, it’s huge, and the armor looks impenetrable.”

“We call him anger, mostly because he’s always angry. He was captured rampaging through the mountains, a tool of an army long gone. He will be your next opponent, try not to let him ram into you, or you will be pierced and most likely killed.” The caretaker said before walking off with a chuckle. “Five hundred pounds of steel, and once he starts running, very few can stop him.”

Kintaro looked at the rhino and began to think of a plan to stop this monstrous creature of destruction. Kintaro observed the beast, and thought of no way he would be able to stop it, and he walked off to think without his opponent in his face, showing off his monstrous strength by bashing into the glass that separated them several times.

Kintaro stood in the stadium and he stared around at the grass land that had been a forest the night before. He had nowhere to hide anymore, and nothing to use to trick the beast besides his wits. While he didn’t know the maximum speed the armor wearing rhino could reach, he was sure that it would be faster than any speed he could hope to achieve.

Kintaro made his way home that night, as he did so he was stopped on every block and congratulated on his victory at the arena. Every time, all he would tell the person would be to come tomorrow to witness what he would be doing next. While he had no idea what he would be going up against next; he was certain he would be able to overcome it, as long as he used his mental skills as well as his physical ones. The gorilla was pretty easy to defeat, all it could do was attack directly, and as a ninja he had been train to use that against an opponent. Since it was a creature with lowered intelligence, it wasn't even that hard. The only thing he had a problem with was his hand seal speed, and he was going to make that up in the next day’s fight.

Kintaro made it home and climbed into his bed without saying anything to anyone, Kintaro fell asleep within seconds of lying on his bed. He awoke in the morning and his entire body was sore from the battle the day before, and Kintaro slowly rose to his feet before he doubled over back into his bed. He would need pain pills if he would do this every day for ten days straight, and he would need lots of it. He made his way to the bathroom and took a thirty minute bath in hot water to loosen his muscles up.

He got dressed, and after he ate a large breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon, sausage, two slices of toast, orange juice, and grapes before he left the house for the day. Immediately, He made his way to the shinobi supply store and bought an entire body of numbing pills and took one immediately, before placing the rest of them in his pocket. ‘I should go and get a massage while it’s still early.’ He thought to himself and made his way to the massage parlor where he spent two hours getting his back massaged by a beautiful woman and then he made his way to the coliseum.

Kintaro started another set of hand seals, but was forced to stop and duck under an incredibly fast and powerful punch swung at him, and then was forced to roll to the left as to avoid another strike by the gorilla.

Kintaro focused chakra into his feet and ran up a tree in hopes of creating some distance between him and the beast, only for the gorilla to climb up the tree after him. Kintaro started to jump from tree to tree and was smacked by the gorilla only to turn into a log, and he reappeared on the ground frowning. The gorilla roared in anger and jumped down to the ground, Kintaro quickly placed his hands in his pocket and put his knuckle busters on.

“I’ll end it in the next minute; I can’t exactly take a direct hit from you.” He said as the gorilla landed and in a blur he disappeared and reappeared in front of the gorilla and he struck the beast in the face four times. He jumped back, exhaling and looked at the damage he had inflicted. The gorilla’s nose was bleeding, its lip was busted, and its eye was swelling, but it didn’t look as if it was ready to give up. It looked as if it was ready to tear Kintaro limb from limb.

Kintaro ran towards it once more before jumping into the air and spinning, extending his leg as he did so and connected a roundhouse kick to the gorilla’s head, knocking it back three meters as the kick connected. He caught himself and quickly took his knuckle busters off and placed them back in his pockets.

The gorilla started to look as if it had injured and Kintaro smirked as it walked towards him, it staggered a few times and Kintaro performed what he hoped would be his last set of hand seals. As the gorilla grew closer, Kintaro fired off a spear composed of lightning that connected with the gorilla, and then expanded into a cylinder that encompassed the gorilla’s entire body and the gorilla was struck by numerous lightning bolts before it fell over to the ground, defeated.
Kintaro exited the forest and held his hands high into the sky, and the entire crowd cheered for him.

As it came time for his match, and Kintaro made his way to the arena doors, the guard laughing as he approached and they opened the door for him, only for him to gasp at what he saw. They had completely changed the 150 meter circular arena into a miniature forest, where the trees were at least 25 meters tall, and he couldn’t even see through them. He hadn’t agreed for them to change the terrain to fit the gorilla’s home field. It was completely unfair, and as Kintaro turned to the guards at the door to say something the loud speaker cut him off.

“Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the daily battle!” The crowd went crazy and Kintaro gulped. What had he gotten himself into? “We have a genin named Sato Kintaro fresh off medical leave here to face Samson, who as you all know is undefeated. Will Kintaro's career in the coliseum come to an end in his first bout or will he beat the silverback gorilla? Only time will tell. Now Kintaro please make your way into the forest, and then we will release the gorilla." Kintaro did as he was told and move about twenty meters into the forest before he heard another door open, and heard the sound of the gorilla running into the trees.

Kintaro sighed before doing a set of hand seals and a ball of lightning appeared around him in a five foot radius. He held the seal for thirty seconds before he heard a noise, looking up he watched as the gorilla jumped from above, feet first in an attempt to crush him, before coming into contact with the ball, and falling to the ground twitching. Kintaro laughed and he could hear the audience gasp, but his laughter was cut short as the gorilla stood up before turning to him, roaring, and beating on his chest at the same time. Kintaro jumped back to create some distance between the two of them.

There were stairs heading downward to the basement, and Kintaro made his way towards them. He opened the door, and made his way to the strong hold as he had been instructed on the mission scroll. While it was considered the basement of the coliseum, it was actually a large, elaborate dungeon that held the beasts he would be battling. He walked down two flights of stairs and came to a door monitored by a camera. "State your name and business." A robotic voice stated and Kintaro looked up at the camera before speaking.

"Sato Kintaro, Genin, I'm here for the daily battle, and will return every night until I have bested every beast in the arena." The camera zoomed in on his face before he heard a buzzing sound and pushed the door open. At first the light blinded him but after ten seconds his eyes adjusted to it. It was a large white room that had many large habitats in it. Inside of the habitats Kintaro could see many different beasts. He smiled to himself as he walked towards the caretakers, the reason being he could see the variety as well of the viciousness of the beasts. They would push him to the limit every night, and he could tell just from their appearances, his life would be on the line in every fight.

"Kintaro-san, you're early." One of the caretakers said to him, and Kintaro shrugged.

"I wanted to get a look at the arena and at my opponents." He said and the caretaker nodded before turning, and walking away from him before he motioned for Kintaro to follow.

They walked for close to five minutes. They came to a habitat with a white gorilla staring at them through the glass before it began to pound on it, and Kintaro took a step back.

"Oh no, you're perfectly safe, at least for now." The caretaker said with a small chuckle at the end. "We've decided to place you against our career crusher, as we like to call him." The caretaker smiled at Kintaro before turning to the gorilla. "This is Samson, an albino gorilla. He was the alpha of his troop when we captured him, which was no easy feat. He critically injured two chuunin and killed a genin, and that was just capturing it. In the arena, it's injured at least a dozen genin and chuunin."

Kintaro gasped, causing the caretaker to chuckle once more. "Don't be scared, I'm sure you'll manage to overcome his monstrous strength and speed. I'll give you one tip; finish it off quickly or you'll make him angry and then you'll be killed in seconds." The caretaker said and walked away laughing loudly and to Kintaro rather obnoxiously.

Kintaro looked at the gorilla and noticed it was close to seven feet in height, and he could tell it was extremely muscular underneath its white fur. Its red eyes never left his and to Kintaro it looked as if it was smiling. It couldn't have possibly knew they were going to be battling in less than two hours, but Kintaro could tell from its eyes that it did, and the fact it did scared him. Kintaro walked away, he didn't want to see the beast until it was time battle. Until then he would be working out a plan.

Post 1: The Introduction...

Kintaro felt like a better man as he walked down the streets of his beloved Kumogakure. He was dressed with a white tee shirt with his cargo shorts on, and his shinobi gear hung on his belt line. His forehead protector was tied behind his head, and he had a large smile plastered along his face. The reason being he was so happy and was wearing his shinobi gear for the first time in more than half a year was that he was finally back on active duty after seven long months of recovery!

Coupled with the fact it was a wonderful day outside, with no clouds in the sky and only a gentle breeze blowing. As the sun hung in the sky, the temperatures were in the high seventies, and it seemed as if everyone was out and about as a result. The streets were crowded, and Kintaro smiled and waved to everyone as he did so. He hadn't worn his headband in over seven months, and now he had to make up for lost time.

While he understood that every day counted when it came to recovering, he didn't like that he would be missing two Chuunin exams as a result. He would have applied for the current Chuunin exams, but he wasn't sure of his strength after more than half a year of missing training. He would simply go on a spree with missions to get experience quickly, as well as start a nest fund for the equipment he would need in order to pass the exams.

He had come from the mission compound, and was already tired having climbed the stairs to and from the building that was built high up in the clouds on one of the mountains that surrounded Kumogakure. He had asked for and had been approved for a series of missions. As a result he was going to be heading to the Kumogakure Coliseum to become a combatant in the games.

He was going to fight for the village against savage beasts to show them the strength of even the lowest ranked Cloud shinobi. There was conflict in the world and the villagers needed to know that they would be protected if the worst came to happen. So he had been appointed to face off against every single low ranking beast in the coliseum, and planned to complete them in ten days, one beast every day. He would be paid for a mission of the same rank as the beast he defeated.

He planned to grow stronger after each bout, and hoped by the end of the tenth night he would be a force to be reckoned with amongst genin. His plan was also, hoping he grew strong enough to do so, was to continue battling against stronger and stronger creatures, given the fact the coliseum was home to over fifty different species of exotic and dangerous beasts, and he knew they would always have something worth battling.

He arrived to the coliseum, a place that he had never been to before, but he had heard it was a major source of income for the village, seconded only by missions. It was also the entertainment mecca of the village. He entered the massive coliseum, and looked around before whistling at the grand design of the place.

There were stairways going up to the seats, as well as dozens of different gambling stations, and twice as many food stands, serving everything from hotdogs to sushi. Kintaro chuckled as he passed them by. "It seems the arena over charges for everything in compensation of being free to attend."

Special: Travels in a straight line and cannot be altered once shot. Ball's size measure half a meter diameter, and grows by another half each time retrained. However, after every fourth retraining, the consumption will go up by one. The range it can cover depends on the user's 'Karai Shin'. Being struck by this results in the area in question being paralyzed for half a turn - a hit to the head affects the whole body. Paralysis effects do not stack once victim is struck.
Description: A very simple and effective Raiton technique known throughout, the user either takes twin weaponry or their own appendages, focuses their chakra into their center, and forms a ball of pure lightning. This newly formed threat can either be smashed into an opponent’s face, or tossed from a nearby distance. Repetitive exposure to the shocking has been known to leave its victims stunned.

Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log) the moment an attack hits. Strong Fist is a Taijutsu style, the purpose of which is to cause extreme forms of external damage to a target, alongside breaking as many bones as possible. It is the exact opposite of the Gentle Fist, which is used exclusively by the Hyuuga clan. This style of fighting involves smashing your opponent and is generally used only by extremely physically powerful and dominating shinobi.

Note: For a Low increment of chakra, Goken practitioners can marginally raise the destructive force of any standard attack (non-jutsu) they perform; each strike will have a 10% chance to break the target’s bones. This cannot stack with the Goken Tier 3 Mastery, Tekken.

Kintaro weighs in at One Hundred Fifty Seven Pounds
His blood type in o negative.
He often wears cargo shorts with with a black belt with the Kumogakure symbol as the buckle, in addition to his normal headband on his forehead. On his belt he has a kama along the small of his back, his three smoke grenades on the left side of the belt, and his one Hikari (Light Bomb) on the right side. He rarely wears a shirt unless he is travelling outside of the village and when he does it is usually a plain white tee. He wears black combat boots, and long black socks. He wears his binoculars around his neck on a neckband, that they are looped onto.
Kintaro has a toned body, and His hair is always short and curly, taking the appearence of a small afro, and he usually has a pick in his hair, although it's just for show. His eyes are brown and almond shaped, and he has a rather flat nose.
Kintaro has a long scar running down his chest from a past encounter with an enemy ninja.

COGNITION[/u]

Kintaro is loyal, protective, ambitious, and caring. Whenever he moves it is because of an order or because someone is in need of his help. His gool in life is to be acknowledged as a legend in the village, and he trains day in and day out in order to complete that goal, as well as ensure no harm befalls his beloved home village. He will get serious whenever he is fighting to protect someone, or believes his life is on the line. He is also a want to be ladies man, and will hit on any girl who looks half way decent; much like a teenage boy.
