Screams came from just about every door, yet, she hadn’t been called upon. It seemed, the genin was yet to be fit for such intense life-deciding moments. She spent her time in the hospital almost everyday with the exception of the odd times she would go on missions. And what did she expect from helping around with minimal task within the confines of this grim building. She expected for her big moment to come, for her name to be called up and for her opportunity to arrive. For her one shot at saving another beings life. For her one shot of conserving all the potential of this being. Her mentor of sorts, Zammy-Sama, had attempted to meet with the genin within the hospital on that day but every room she searched, there was no sign of the female. She sighed before falling back on a bench behind her. Elbows on her knees, hands on her cheeks, she clearly epitomized boredom. Despite the evident intensity going on around her, she did not have much interest considering she was excluded from such activity. That was until...
“Yuri!”
Maybe she had been hallucinating, that certainly had not been her mentors voice, who else would call upon her.
“Yuri!”
The voice rang out again, this time she truly looked around for its source, she witnessed the arrival of a nurse who spoke in a hurried tone.
“There’s no time to explain, follow me!”
She cocked her eyebrows in surprise, to astonished to even act at the moment until her wrist was pulled and she would be forced into a sprint.
“Where are we going?”
She questioned curiously, fully oblivious to her current situation.
“Emergency Room. Zammy-Sama needs your aid in saving the life of a Kunoichi.”
A grin appeared on her face despited the evident serious moment, this was her chance to prove her profession wasn’t simply a title.
“Brief me!”
The grin faded just as soon, seriousness soon replaced it. Her orders short and simple.
“Three poisonous arrows to the chest. If we don’t hurry... she’ll die.”
That was all she needed to know. Sprinting far faster than the nurse, she had reached the source of an ear-cracking scream. Quickly she pushed the door open and with a quick nod to the older medic, she went to work. She’d place her hands before one of the three wounds within the chest area. A aqua like bubble would from around the two open palms as she lowered her hands neatly above the injury. She was superior to her, but Yuri believed she would one day be equal to Zammy... one day, but not today. Fortunately her skills were enough to suppress the deadly poison. Soon, the poisonous particles would depart from its previous establishments, entering the aqua like orb as Yuri patiently extracted the poison. She ignored the trashing, she had been trained for this, she wouldn’t fail on her first attempt. A frown reached her face, sweat trickled down her cheek and eventually chin but had been quickly wiped away by a nearby helper. She took a deep breath, it was as if time slowed down through this defining moment.
