The next morning came about abruptly and even as Kaito woke with a sharp pain to his rib from moving too quickly, Kaito quickly went about his daily business, took a couple of pills towards dismissing the burning ache his side had which had become somewhat inflamed. It was no big problem.
With a gratifying sigh he entered the Puppet room that he had been building his new puppet. Three meters in length, one and a half meters in width. Enough for his compression unit. First things first, was to finish carving the teeth that he had left yesterday. He cracked his knuckles and picked up his tools. He had the rough outline of the monster's jaw but it seemed a little on the thick side; he didn't want somebody grabbing onto it. Not that he thought they could, but getting rid of any excess was perfect for him. The Antennae were already pushed in, he just needed to align them properly as over the course of the night they had drooped a little bit where he hadn't stuck them in properly. He rectified that immediate mistake and didn't take more than three minutes for each one. They remained upright and outwards. Perfect.
He began carving away at the teeth- ensuring the joints were perfect. He had to punch through the other side of the wood, though. It was thick, tough wood and had required some handiwork. The joints that he had made out of the top and bottom piece fit together well- but could probably use a bunch of oil. He began working at it, punching a smaller knife/chisel combo through the teeth, he had to do so around fourty times (for each section of the teeth) When that was done, he began the long process of carving out the teeth. Hand made.
This was time consuming, because by the time he had finished the sun was risen to nearly noon. It wasn't that they were hard persay but they needed to be sharp, and fit together perfectly- no gaps for a kunai to squeeze through and jam the mouth. He grinned. He could test out the first part, and gently stepped back, wiped the dust off him and his right hand flexed - small strings came forth from his black and brown fingertips, cast aside with dust and dirt.
It sprung into life. The puppet's mouth with a large creak began opening up- but only to a certain distance- it was enough for a human to get in, but to get caught wouldn't be hard. Like he suspected, it needed oil to functionally work. With the mouth still duly open, he went to his bench, reached around the back and grabbed a dark blue bottle with a small squirting like appliance on the end, and returned to begin working the oil into the joints of the wood. His left hand, however, connected with the puppet- the mouth began pulsing a few centimeters each way as the oil began to work it's way into the joint. He took his hand out, backed off to the back of the room and had a lone piece of wood - took it, and placed it inside the mouth of the puppet. It's mouth slammed shut dangerously. He grinned.
