Jai-Lin smiled at Sakaki's comment, which made the girl sure that she wasn't too upset. Turning, the small Kumo-nin would return to her meal, quickly finishing it off. She sat there, in a sort of afterglow, eyes half lidded as she enjoyed the aftertaste of the ramen. She wasn't sure she was going to be able to recover from this one. She wanted more ramen, even though she was starting to get full... would that feeling last even when she was stuffed?
“How about round two? Its free~” Jai-Lin's voice called to her, but Sakaki felt like the world had slowed. Was she growing... tired? Still, she was excited, and wound up bouncing happily in her seat, just once or twice. The older Kumo-nin would call to the man in the back, who replied, but not coherently to those at the counter.
Despite everything moving so slowly to Sakaki, it felt like no time at all before the man had returned, and another steam-spewing bowl of ramen was placed before her. She smiled, entranced by the food, and would not hesitate to dig in. Before long it would be apparent that the second bowl was going to beat the little girl. She was practically nodding off by the time that half the bowl was gone.
Her consciousness had not quite left her when Jai-Lin would finally stand, though. Like a trigger, the weariness sort of just lifted from Sakaki, and she found herself alert once more. A bit confused, actually, by the quick mental transition, she took a quick glance around the room before her vision settled on her elder.
"Hey kiddo, If you want to crash at my place, I would be fine with that." It was hard to believe... so hard, in fact, for the little girl, that she did a double-take. Did she... was she just hearing things? She stared at Jai-Lin for several moments, as if waiting for her to start laughing, confirming a joke, or the like. But it never happened, and finally Sakaki would simply believe that she'd heard what she thought she'd heard.
"Really?" she questioned, even though she'd already seemed to accept the fact. There was no real reason for her to deny the offer. Whatever might have waited for her was better than sleeping on a rock. Seriously, she hated using a rock as a pillow. It was just... downright unpleasant.
Once again feeling the strain of her fullness, Sakaki found darkness creeping up on her. She would blindly follow along Jai-Lin as the elder girl led her to her house. Sakaki wouldn't remember much of anything during their trip from the ramen house after she awoke...
