I’d clench my teeth in attempts to alleviate the pain from the open wound gaping in the center of my chest. I could hear the beasts growl as it stretched its hind legs further, breaking the ground with every step. It was ahead of me – I could almost smell the blood lingering from its fur. From the abyss to my front a pair of white tusks would emerge in front of the body of one of my men.

My eyes locked upon a river of blood and in its center a foot soldier of ROOT lay dead, his spirit vanishing from clear view in the moment I noticed the mammoth looking creature. I had become calm with a rage focusing energy within each fingertip as I stayed concrete in my position. I did not know why it was this monster had made my village its stomping ground, but I was not going to let it proceed any further.

Though taken by surprise in every angle around me I knew the weakness to this creature’s futon-like ability, and all I needed now was the perfect moment to strike whilst awaiting its next move.

In only a few seconds the world around me become silent as the village shook from the concussive power that surged through the wind… wrapping us all in a torrent of tiny blades. My body aimlessly floated into the air with everything else – unable of stopping its powerful destructive waves in the slightest bit. Within a form of pure chakra would an x-like shape, carved in futon chakras, chisel into my chest – painting my upper torso red in but an instant.

”Shit!”

I would say as I looked down onto my chest. Whatever it was that had just attacked me could have easily cleaved me in half if I were closer to its initial launch. My eyes widened in suspense as I looked around to search for the beast – I could almost hear its footsteps. In preparation for what was to come I would engage in hand seals; after completing the sequence I would kneel to the ground as a dome of chakra enveloped the surrounding area in attempts to calculating the whereabouts of the beast.¹

I turned to her as she made herself visible– the sun rising to full height in the moment I pivoted. I recognized her face from the profile I had pulled- although just a genin and eleven years old she had more potential than any other person in the village. . and why? Because she was still moldable, holding the innocence one needed to create a true warrior, and most importantly; she was the daughter of Kouketsu Uchiha.

”Pleasure to meet you Ms. Unmei – you may call me Moesashi if you’d like. Sir makes me feel a little old..”

My tone was meant to sound charming, welcoming even, as I flickered closer to her in the moment she appeared. She was obviously not here for games, not that I’d expected her to be, and so I would validate my objective only after a few moments of silence after our greetings.

“I requested for you because I’m recruiting certain shinobi and kunoichi to join an elite group completely detached to the council and its politics.”

An impenetrable glare, emanating from my own eyes, would return into her hues – looking deep within the center of her very soul. Although she was the daughter of a legend did not mean I would be any more lenient on her. She would be treated as if she was a Jounin but her identity would have to remain secret if this organization were going to remain enigmatic.

“This organization of mine is called ROOT, an underground section of ANBU that I’ve made to restore order to this nation. You could be apart of that if you’re willing to. But I won’t guarantee you’ll like the type of work we do...”

‘It’s at the morgue sir, you may visit him if you wish.’
‘No that’s fine. Let’s go.’

We would dispatch in a single file formation through the doorway of my room. In a half-diamond shape we would spread out into the hallway.. escaping into the brisk morning underneath a dawning sky. (The sun isn’t even out yet..) I’d allot in thought as we moved straight into the thickened vegetation bewildering Konoha’s forests’. I was nothing but excited as I pressed onward behind the captain of our squadron onto the outside of our village boundaries; a look of certainty was in my eyes as they stared upon broken wood. I remained adamant within the rising sun… the smell of charred wood entering my nostrils, feeding my instincts, as we made our way to a position near the destruction.

‘Looks like there’s a path that leads further in. Spread out and communicate with one another if you find whatever it is we’re looking for..’

We all took different paths but I would stay directly upon a road which connected to a small town; a town that had been shaken by the hands of god himself it seemed. My eyes would stir into red pools as I proceeded into the entrance. Wearing but a black long john under armor with a satchel attached I looked nothing like the kage of any village and for that I was truly lucky. If I had arrived in diplomatic clothing there was no telling what type of mess I would have been in. (Look for clues..) I would tell myself, redirecting my attention to the plethora of men and women picking themselves up from the mess they all sat in.

‘What happened here? Who did this?!’

I was determined to win no matter the cost. Through the clash of metal, the screams of the injured and the cries for help I heard nothing aside from my own heart beat. I was sure my brother was fine, but I’d take one glance at him in the moment my shuriken failed to loop around the blue-haired assailant. Ashes danced within the sky above us as I temperately threw down the ninja wire. My hands would find themselves clamped together in the shape of the dragon, and following its suit would be a blur of un-hesitant motion.

To the left of me I could see Agata motionless, whimpering beneath the fear of seeing the blood of one of her relatives. Though un-empathetic to her situation, because unlike her me and Ranshi could handle ourselves alone, I felt somewhat doleful to her loss. A very sad and tragic act indeed however this was not the time for mourning; It was a time for redemption. As if swelled with the very anger of all whom had fallen before him (bear) my cheeks would bulge out from the inside of my mouth…

Before my eyes lay the image of the assailant in the moment he chose to raise his weapon, chakra enveloping my lungs as my katon chakras pursued in the form of the goukakyuu. In a flash would the sun itself.. beckon to the man in its simplest of forms. If he had continued to pursue forward he would have met with a fiery coat which would have wrapped around him.. effortlessly scathing his skin and burning his face/upper torso.

I wasn’t the type to wait to see a result but I had no choice; I could hear the forces closing in on every angle.. ‘backing the beast into its corner’ so to speak. A devilish grin would embrace my features as I performed a sequence of seals within the center of my fingertips. Though wrapped in a sheath of sin I knew that the heavens would have found some way to watch me now as a grand wave of chakra emitted a glow around the outline of my body.
