From the earth erupted great roots spawned by my ally, twisting wildly about the Yonbi's appendages in an attempt to bind him to the place in which he stood. My kikaichuu would be moving towards the creature's eyes in an attempt to blind him meanwhile my clones rushed forward into the heat of battle. I, on the other hand, still stood at approximately forty meters from the beast, and I would make haste to rise up to do my part. My current position, however, was vulnerable, and so I leaped into the air as insects flooded from my clothing.

Beneath me there would now be a mass of insects holding my weight, flying into the air at maximum speeds in order to rise up to meet the threat of the Yonbi. I moved diagonally to my right, facing the Yonbi, so that I would be moving diagonally to the bijuu's left. However, just as I would prepare my next assault, the roots that bound the towering beast splintered and were destroyed, easily pulled apart by the might of the ape before us.

The tails swung out and lashed the earth viciously, ripping it to shreds as it carried over the land. Due to my insect cloud I had successfully avoided the tails, although there were shattered bits of debris that flew through the air. These seemed, however, to be more directed at the others on the ground, launching from the earth towards them in a flurry of rocks and destroyed earth. Already the beast showed incredible power, but it was nothing as compared to what was coming.

With a massive push against the earth he recoiled some two hundred meters, placing him approximately two hundred forty meters away from myself. His appendages struck the earth as he quickly regained balance, and even from this distance I could see his massive maw opening wide. A substance gathered before him, growing bigger and bigger before it eventually began to eclipse his entire face. Something of that scale was certainly frightening, and thus I continued as I had upon my insects, climbing ever higher into the sky as I moved in an effort to further myself from what was to come.

Special: Barrier defense depends on the user's highest rank in the jutsu. Barrier measures 10 meters in diameter. Can be created anywhere within the users 'Wood Dominion' range.
Description: An extremely effective defensive maneuver, the Mouton user will form handseals and cause beams of wood to emerge from the ground. Once their chakra seeps into the ground, it activates the roots in order to produce wooden pillars that appear from the user's left and right. in a matter of moment, the wooden pillars join together in a dome-shape with the user at the center. This half spherical barrier can best be used to deflect an incoming blast, or when simply wishing to hide from an opponent.

I stopped myself approximately forty meters away from the beast, hoping to keep a fair distance so as not to endanger myself more than necessary. My clones, however, continued onward, their hands clashing into seals of the zodiac, drawing upon my own chakra for their techniques. As they approached a ten meter radius of the Yonbi, I would take a quick glance to my allies to see how they were doing. From the earth erupted great branches, entangling themselves around the hands and feet of the Yonbi. The same man who had bound him would now be thrusting spikes of wood into the masses of fur in further attempts to bind him. Meanwhile another sought to bring him truly to his knees as he clambered up to the head, his hands flailing wildly about in some sort of jutsu.

My insects at this point had successfully reached the Yonbi's eyes. I had sent the necessary amount of insects to begin draining, and so as they covered and landed upon his massive eyes they would even begin to drain from him his chakra. If my insects could even survive such a volatile feast, they would continue to do so as long as possible. Surely a chakra as powerful as that of the Yonbi would be useful in the fight against him. My clones, having now finished their seals, would thrust their hands forward, expelling from their palms beams of wood, much like the seemingly endless array that burst forth from my ally's clones.

The wood twisted and turned through the air, slowly splitting apart into eight separate beams. Although my Mokuton skills weren't the strongest they would have to suffice. All eight beams were tangled about the beasts neck, constricting as tightly as I could possibly muster in hopes that it would both strangle and restrict the beast. My allies had already done their fair share and I hoped that I could do the same. As the wood would hopefully be pressing itself against the throat of the massive beast I would await the next move. Surely this couldn't be as easy as it was...

Special: Range of wooden spikes depends on the user’s level of 'Wood Dominion'. Approaching wood will split into up to two spikes per use, plus one more each time retrained. Spikes move roughly at the speed of a kunai.
Description: After a few simple seals, the Mokuton user will changes one's own arm into big trees and use it to extend a large mass of spikes towards their target. Using chakra, the tissues are transformed into trees at the cellular level. Then, by activating the trees, stimulating them to grow rapidly, they lengthen at high speed and fork into many branches. These spikes can act both to impale his target and as a barrier to protect a comrade. Such is the strength of the stakes that it is said to be able to break through defenses of the same Rank or lower than the technique. When the technique is over, the trees fall off of the user's arm and the user will regain the use of his or her arms.

Time would evidently be of the essence as the beast before us dug his hands into the earth, tearing it to shreds with sheer force. The countryside collapsed beneath his might as his great maw opened wide, protruding from its depths a volcanic eruption. Magma spewed forth and rushed towards another group of shinobi of which I knew nothing about. One of them even succumbed to the lava's wrath, melting and dying before my very eyes. I gazed, horrified, at the sight, gulping slightly as I came to realize what I was up against. It would seem as if that old prophet knew exactly what she was speaking of.

The ninja of Kumogakure made no acknowledgement of my existence, and so it would seem I would have to prove my "allegiance" through my actions. One of the people I would call "ally" rushed forward, clones bursting from his body as he did so. They each created seals, and looking out towards the Yonbi I saw as wood constructions rose from the earth, clutching tightly to the beasts limbs. I, too, darted forward, attempting to aid my companions in their quest.

My arms projected forward, expelling from them a great mass of insects. The swarm quickly moved forward and into the air, and with great haste they would shoot for the Yonbi's eyes. Their goal was to blind the beast, further restricting his movements. Upon latching onto the beast's eyes they would attempt to drain chakra from him, however futile it may be. Quickly retracting my arms as the black mass swarmed forward, I would then bring my hands together.

Nimble digits quickly assembled into many forms of the zodiac as my chakra pulsated, and I, too, would expel several clones from my person. Two of these wooden devils would run on either side of me, eventually passing me as I came to a halt. I was no good in a close range battle, so it would be the duty of my clones to take care of the Yonbi. They would come to meet with Ibara's clones, ready to provide the little back up that they could. Meanwhile I would have to await the results of our movements to strategize my next move.

Moku Bunshin no Jutsu (Wood Clone Technique) [50] [50]

Type: Supplementary / Ninjutsu / Kekkei Touta

Special: Clone speed matches that of the user. Up to one clone can be made at a time, plus one more each time retrained. Clone may only perform Mokuton based jutsu, and may absorb one blow equal to this technique. Upon being stricken down, the clone explodes and releases shrapnel within 5 meters, sending hundreds of small splinters into anybody within the range of the explosion.
Description: After a few handseals, the user will cause beams of wood to emerge from his or her body, quickly taking the shape of the user. Within moments, this wood will morph and form a into a carbon copy of the users will, capable of utilizing all the same Mokuton techniques as the caster. This clone is created by altering the user's own cells with chakra, granting it more endurance than the normal Shadow Clones to the point it simply doesn't disappear when hit by the enemies' attacks. Moreover, since it has the ability to merge with plants and trees, it is also great for reconnaissance missions. They have the ability to travel far distances from the user and are able to communicate with the original mentally at any time.

Kikaichuu no Jutsu (Destruction Bug Technique) [25] [50] [100] [150] [300]

Type: Supplementary / Ninjutsu / Secret Technique
Range: 0 - 50 meters
Chakra: Mid
Special: Allows the user to control, without the need of seals, the bugs residing within. Highest rank determines strength and ability of bugs, amount of chakra that can be absorbed per turn, distance the user can control them away from their body, and finally, readiness (speed) at which they react to command). By default, it takes a full turn of exposure to the full swarm of kikaichuu, in which constant contact is created, in order for chakra leeching to occur; it takes the same amount of exposure for the user to absorb leeched chakra.

Description: Kikaichuu no Jutsu is a core ninjutsu technique central to all Aburame clan jutsu. After being born, the clan member forms a pact with the kikai, allowing them to serve as the host nest for the bugs. In return for feeding on the chakra the hosts' body provides, the insects will do the bidding of the clan member. The host can use the bugs to seek out the chakra of the opponent and attack them, allowing them to leech victim's energies and even create large figures. As a bonus, because the bug makes a bond with the user, they adopt all of their innate traites, including speed!

Aside from these two primordial classifications, summons also fall under a certain rank, much like regular jutsu. Rank usually serves to represent size, strength, and ability, as summons can only use techniques equal to their base rank. Most importantly however, rank determines the amount of EXP a summon can have in relation to one's own, which is important when determining the attack potential of one's summon.

'D': 10 – 20 meters // 500 EXP
'C': 21 – 30 meters // 1,000 EXP
'B': 31 – 40 meters // 5,000 EXP
'A': 41 – 50 meters // 10,000 EXP
'S': 51+ meters // 20,000 EXP

What exactly is this referring to? Is it my EXP? How does that correspond to an entire summoning family? I does not understand.

Juniors: The subordinates to the Seniors, these small minion-like creatures come in small packs, or even alone. Although they carry no ability to cast jutsu like their seniors, they have enough natural energy in them to survive on their own using stamina and the unique abilities granted to them by their bodies. These type of summons can still nonetheless be summoned by the user, and, unlike Seniors, can be controlled and used for the user's personal techniques. (Kakashi and his dogs, for example.). At all times, Juniors will be at least half their Senior's size, as well as their EXP! Also, for every single Senior Summon the user has, they may create up to five (5) Juniors.

They have no chakra to use abilities, so are the Bear Summons for the Arc an exception or is this old information that needs to be updated?

Seniors: The captains of their class. They are leaders of their summoning family, pillars of their community that have acquired unique abilities throughout the ages that their brethren have yet to master. Sought out by mortal souls due to their power, they are envie by many and controlled by none. The user calls upon these only in the most dire of situations, and hopes their beasts will at least heed the call in their favor...These beasts also carry Chakra Pools depending on the rank (explained below), and much like a player, carry a particular Type. By default, the player may create only one Senior per rank. Further training can improve this, however.

So basically I can have 5 Seniors in a summoning family? Ranked D-S? Also, what does further training entail and how does that mean people can make more Seniors? Unless, of course, one Senior per rank means that I can only have one per rank summoned at a time.

The whole summoning thread and customs really confuses me, so I just want to clear it up so that I can get started making my bugz (y)

The air was buzzing with the sounds of the drunkards that piled up around the room, shooting pool or playing cards at a wide variety of tables. Surrounded by the laughter and cheers of hearty and wholesome men and women alike, well, it made me sick to my stomach. I didn't like people. They were horrid, self-loving, self-advancing creatures, and I was no different. Why should we be out for anyone other than number one? I raised the cold glass to my lips, downing the rest of the amber liquid inside before I stood up.

My gaze carried over the room, taking in the sights of large bearded men or beautiful and homely bar tending maids alike, watching them all in their merriment. At first glance there was something lively and hospitable about what you saw, but upon further inspection one might notice the stains on the floor from alcohol-induced vomiting years before. The man in the corner has a great scar on his face, most likely due to a fight in this very bar. The tables and floors and pool sticks and cards are sticky with beer, and the whole place reeks of body odor. A thick moist haze seems to dangle in the air, poisoning all those who should enter its mist.

I cast a bag of ryo on the counter, gesturing towards the stairs that lead to the upper levels of the tavern. Understanding that I wanted a place to stay, the barkeep smiled brightly as he searched for keys under the counter. Insects escaped from my sleeves as the man bent over, grasping onto the bag that he had left behind him and returning it to myself. I returned his smile as he handed me the key, turning around to return to his duties. Before he even realized the bag was gone, I was already upstairs, safe in the room I had just "bought."

Like I said, I was no different. Every individual sought nothing more than self-improvement, than self-advancement. I was doing the same. This weak body could not accommodate the plans that I had in store. No, it would need something else. More power, more ability, more control over its potential. That fool that had previously occupied this body would no longer hold back my potential. I served no one but myself, and I would reign supreme over my destiny, even if that meant denying him his own destiny.

I fell down onto the bed, falling in between the lumps that comprised it. It wasn't much but for the night it would have to do. My hand reached over and turned off the light, encasing myself in complete darkness. The only light that entered the room came from the window, where snow reflected the light of the full moon and cast a brilliant display of light across the ceiling. The light was not annoying but instead soothing, and soon I found myself drifting into slumber.

Listening to that wandering hag back in Kumo, I had no idea what to expect. This "great danger" that her prophetic words had mentioned could have been nothing more than some dangerous animal. Then again, what I was looking upon could have just been sheer coincidence, for it fit her words exactly. Over rolling hills I caught sight of the beast, its tremendous roar echoing through the darkening skies as the Yonbi's hands were cast into the sides of hills, tearing the earth to shreds and reducing it to dust. Even I couldn't have suspected what was to come next. Clearly, however, it was the completion of the prophecy, for as I advanced over the hills of Kusa no Kuni a group of people came into sight.

I quickly increased my speed as I ran towards them. My headband had been long since placed away within the folds of my clothing, completely hidden from view. I was currently approaching from their right, and from my angle I caught the glitter of a headband. Within due time I would come to see that it was indeed the mark of Kumogakure, and so I slowed my approach, hoping to show no sign of ill intent. My arms extended and my palms opened to show that I held nothing with which I could cause harm and I didn't mean to in the first place. My pace would be halted to a slow walk as I came to the ninja.

"Bitsuyo, Atsu of Kumogakure. Please, I have been trapped in this land, have mercy and take my word for it." My eyes glittered with a certain sadness as I approached them, looking quickly around towards the Yonbi to watch as it ravaged the earth with ease. I turned my gaze again to them, seeing that they were clearly here to take care of the beast. I gulped, swallowing my actual fear as I looked up into the eyes of one of the ninja [Satsui], trying to implore for help with just my eyes. "I will help you with that, but please, take me home"

Her tongue came forward eerily from pursed smirking lips, licking slowly each side of her mouth until the faint glistening of saliva was visible through the light that struck the lower half of her face. It was quite disgusting to say the least, not to mention creepy. I gulped nervously as I took a step back, cautiously scanning her for signs of what was to come. Her lips parted and finally I would be able to hear what she had to say, and the sooner the better, for I wanted to exit the scene as quickly as possible.

Her raspy voice threw out nothing but nonsensical gibberish. I found that my muscles were relaxed once more as I came to realize that she had nothing important to say. My smile returned, after all, what business did I have fighting something "hotter than the sun?" The very idea brought a smile to my lips, and the rest of what she had to say was also quite ridiculous. I nodded my thanks to her for her fortune telling, but my smile soon faded as her figure dissipated into thin air. My eyes widened as I quickly ran forward to grasp around for her, yet my hands reached out and grabbed at nothing.

I looked around at the surrounding landscape for sight of her, but she was completely gone. Shrugging it off, I cautiously began to move forward. What she had said was nonsense and I would not fall for her tricks. Or, rather, I had chosen not to believe what might be considered proof. And although I hadn't, he did. Suddenly a great amount of chakra surged from my body, enveloping my body in a red aura. Pain cascaded down the length of my body as he shifted to my body, forcibly taking control. My very soul felt as if it was being ripped from my body. In a way, it was.

I pushed up from the earthen terrain that I found my face planted in, slowly getting up and brushing the dust off of my clothing. A great grin came across my lips, satisfied by the ease with which I took control of Iizuka's body. Stretching out my arms and looking at my new body, I laughed heartily. That weak-minded fool would have abandoned such a beautiful opportunity, it was lucky that I came along. I pivoted quickly before taking off through the valley, talking seemingly to myself. But I knew that wasn't true, I knew that he could hear me.

"We're going to have ourselves a little fun. I happen to believe that old witch, and I want to explore a little!"

My legs kicked off the earth and propelled my body through the air. Insects flooded from my clothing, creating a cloud upon which I could float. The insects carried me forward, moving high into the air so as to traverse the great mountains that surrounded us. I could feel him pulling on my conscience, trying to seize control of his body once more. Alas, he was too weak, and I would reign supreme here. But that was what I was trying to fix; I want to make him stronger. True, it may be so that I may have a better body to control, but it would benefit him eventually nonetheless. As we soared over the lands of Kaminari no Kuni, I knew that what we approached would be difficult, yet rewarding. I removed my headband as the landscape below began to change, shoving it into my bags as I would eventually approach my destination; Kusa no Kuni.

Casually walking into the shop, I swung a bag of change onto the counter. It was heavy with coins obviously leading to a sizable sum. I placed my arms on the counter and leaned on it as I looked around at the merchandise. My lips parted, listing off the items as I looked around;

DESCRIPTION a very common seed produced in the few forests of kaminari no kuni. Used to grow the stranded oak, a massive tree which is normally grown in the valleys of kaminari countryside. These seeds are distinct in their pure white appearance which is often hidden behind a film of dirt. the tree itself is similar to most other oaks however is often distinct in it's pale beige bark, which is uncommon in many species of oak. the utmost unique portion of this tree is that unlike many species which surround it, the stranded oak is said to drain the chakra of those who touch it, making it impossible for many ninja to climb. this seed allows the use of the 'stranded oak technique.'

Clone may only perform Mokuton based jutsu, and may absorb one blow equal to this technique. Upon being stricken down, the clone explodes and releases shrapnel within 5 meters, sending hundreds of small splinters into anybody within the range of the explosion.
Description: After a few handseals, the user will cause beams of wood to emerge from his or her body, quickly taking the shape of the user. Within moments, this wood will morph and form a into a carbon copy of the users will, capable of utilizing all the same Mokuton techniques as the caster. This clone is created by altering the user's own cells with chakra, granting it more endurance than the normal Shadow Clones to the point it simply doesn't disappear when hit by the enemies' attacks. Moreover, since it has the ability to merge with plants and trees, it is also great for reconnaissance missions. They have the ability to travel far distances from the user and are able to communicate with the original mentally at any time.

OOC: These posts are going to be rushed since the event started. Sorry for poor quality.

IC:

While observing the landscape my eyes came to rest on a hooded figure. A black cloak covered her form and hid her face from view, casting a shadow over everything but her lips. I silently stared at her as she in turn said nothing, and for a moment there was only this strange, awkward silence. A thin smirk crossed her lips as she slowly stepped forward, coming to rest only five meters away. My muscles tensed as I looked her up and down. The part of her face that was visible gave reason to believe that she was rather young, but when her mouth opened a husky voice unfitting of a woman her "age" came out.

Clearly she was not elderly, but as her words settled I began to see that she was perhaps just as senile as an old woman. I relaxed and chuckled slightly, nodding to her request to tell me my future. I had decided to humor this "prophet," crossing my arms as I bore a great smile. "Please, I would love to hear my future." Another faint snicker as I cast my gaze to the surrounding area waiting to hear what she had to tell me. However, as her smirk widened, I began to grow concerned for what I was about to hear. Perhaps there would be some truth in what she had to say? Or, rather, her delusional thoughts would cast fear and set me astray.

After walking for what seemed like an eternity through the blistering winds and piercing cold of this frozen landscape, I had finally come to the decision that it was time to get out of this hellhole. I sluggishly pushed my legs through the mounting snow, water seeping through my clothing and numbing my body. My entire body was shivering, yet to no avail. My frustration built up as my hands collided together, forming the zodiac as chakra gathered around me. After a long string I thrust my hands into the snow, falling rapidly as chakra cleared the path and enveloped me in earth.

The energies blasted away the earth before myself and proceeded to propel me through the newly created tunnels. I was shot through darkness as I rapidly moved under the earth. I was covering more ground in a few minutes than I would be in a few hours above ground. The temperatures of the surrounding earth began to shift slowly, progressively getting warmer as I approached what I could only hope was some other country. The sun, I knew, cast its rays onto the earth, where its heat was then absorbed into the soil and was now warming my still frozen body. However, I chose to ascend from my place, breaking through the surface and flooding myself with light. My vision was blurred, but I could of course make out the great towering figures all around me. I found myself in a valley of sorts, surrounded on all sides by large, dangerous cliffs.

Where was I?

This is just a revamp of my character. I haven't died or anything so there should be no incurring penalty. Seven years have been added to my age for the transition. Grade away!

Flashback

The blistering winds beat heavily upon my body and thrust frost into my veins. The cold itself seemed to penetrate into my bones and become my very essence. My hands clutched tight around my torso, retaining heat as I slugged heavy legs through the snow. The frost whipped at my exposed facial features as I shivered intensely. The joints along my body felt rigid and locked in place as they carried me closer to my destination; the structure just half a kilometer away. A light shone from its windows and the air it produced whispered warmth and a place to sleep.

It felt as though my legs fell deeper and deeper into the snow with each passing step. I looked back to see that the snow had already collapsed in on my footprints leaving no trace of my existence there. If I were to collapse, here and now, I would be erased from this world, never again to be found. My sanguine optics focused upon the house before me - it was my only hope. I already couldn't feel most of my body, but I wasn't yet ready to experience death. Especially not since I had just so recently emerged, and especially since it wasn't truly my body.

Finally, after what appeared to be an eternity I pushed through the doors, a wave of heat overcoming my body. My body, being at such low temperatures beforehand, nearly burned upon contact with the dry air of the bar I had entered. There was music playing, haunting the air with a happy tune whilst drunkards danced about and collapsed in their stupors. I still clutched onto myself, not for the cold but now for the exhausting heat that flooded me. A sense of relief swelled within as I took my seat at the bar, knowing that for just one more night I would survive. My still frozen digit tapped upon the wood of the counter to call over the bartender, but I found that the cold had gotten the best of me. It hurt to even move my lips.

A simple movement of the eyes would suffice, it would seem, as the bartender placed a beer before me. His eyes were cast curiously over me for a brief moment. My own eyes pierced his as they scanned my body and eventually made eye contact, and immediately he looked away. He hurriedly positioned himself at the other end of the bar and a devilish grin crawled across my face. My hand, trembling, reached for the beer, sending a refreshing taste down my throat. My hands grasped around the beer and turned it slowly in thought. I was finally experiencing these things that my counterpart had been. I, with no previous physical form, had been unleashed by that man and his seal. I now had a form, a figure to call my own. I could touch what I had only dreamed of before; everything that existed in this reality. I could do wonderful things or terrible things, all of which hadn't been accessible to me before. Even I had to wonder, had that man made the right choice?

I grinned to myself again and drank my beer.
