Nirashi watched the boy's antics and picked up on his little trick. As the first kunai darted for his foot his Suna no Tate would take action. The blade would be swiftly intercepted before coming within two meters of Nirashi. The sand would once again cover the blade and contain the explosion - again only causing the sand to mildly splatter.

This kid needs to work on his Shunpo. His technique would be believable if it left an after-image or sorts in front. With his battle expertise he knew his opponent was behind him. Obviously, he conveyed little interest in ninjutsu, so surely he didn't possess an advanced release skill to meet the Jounin underground in the desert. Plus, that would be suicide really.

The instant Zorishi finished his handseals and swung his spear, the Jounin would be right there behind him. The Genin had three attempts on the Jounin's life. He failed. Not even a scratch on Nirashi. Well, just like a ball game - three strikes and you're out. Since Zorishi was releasing his Fuuton jutsu, he would have no leeway or time for reaction. Sand would reach down in the clothing of the Genin to give him a wedgie. The stalk of sand would then lift the Genin off the ground, suspending him in the air; underwear showing and all.

It was time for a lesson. "Never let your opponent get behind you." Nirashi spoke he looked up at the ninja who was being held by his sand. The ninja would be dropped safely to the desert floor, as Nirashi snickered. "Those three times you failed to land a hit on me, equates to three times I could have killed you. So technically you've died three times. Asking to be my pupil was a okay, but accepting this challenge was a mistake. Know your place and rank, you were beat before this match even started." The Jounin lectured as he awaited Zorishi's response verbally and physically.

Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique)

Type: Supplementary / Ninjutsu / High-Speed Movement
Range: 0 - 10 meters
Chakra: Low
Special: Flickering is near-instantaneous forward movement, meaning the user will rush almost instantly to wherever they are facing as chakra pushes their legs to inhumane levels. The user can flicker once per thread, plus once more each time retrained. One cannot attack or perform techniques during Shunshin.
Description: Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered is a high-speed movement technique, it allows a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed - to an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. Such a feat is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds they would otherwise be unable to reproduce. In the end, the user will appear and disappear in an instant, allowing them to retreat or attack suddenly should they need it. To facilitate the movement the ninja will often use nearby elements such as mist, sand or leaves to mask their appearance or disappearance.

His speed has took a substantial leap as he dropped his weights. The spear would be his weapon of choice as he once again boosted his speeds with Shunpo. Nirashi didn't stand a chance of keeping up with his eyesight alone, this Genin had definitely shocked the Jounin. Unable to react in time he was quickly pierced by the spears strikes. His sand defense not rising to his aid at all. To be brought down by a Genin, was shameful. He did not expect such blitzing speeds. And not knowing the weights the boy had on, didn't help either.

The ninja began to lean as he prepared to fall to his death. Oh wait, sike that's not the real Nirashi! The spear would be ensnared by the stalk of sand which the ninja replaced himself with. He was now three meters behind the ninja who seemingly impaled him. Of course, all sand in a thirty meter circumference was under this Jounin's reign, but he would not launch a counter. He simply stood, with stern eyes behind the Genin awaiting the child's next act. He would have to come harder.

Obviously his best bet would be to use Shunpo again to keep up with Nirashi's own speed; rather cut the Jounin's reaction time.

Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Replacement Technique)

Type: Supplementary / Ninjutsu
Range: 0 - 5 meters
Chakra: Very Low
Special: Switch is near-instantaneous. Kawarimi can only be used once per thread, plus one more each time retrained. However, the technique itself can only be used once per turn, regardless of retraining. Requires the user to switch with objects equal or smaller in size; cannot switch with other living people or animals.
Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, the moment an attack hits. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. The user can then use this confusion to escape or launch a counter-attack - i.e. exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise.

Epic fail. Sheesh, this guy is a character. I wonder if I was this lame as a Genin. Nirashi thought as he saw the promising presentation end in failure. However, it was interesting that this kid was a Taijutsu Master. He was not kidding when he said he was in-training. He was quite short, and lacking the muscle one would relate to a master of physical combat.

"Ah yes, you definitely need a little more training." Nirashi couldn't help his kindness, because honestly the kid need a lot more training. Years and years and years of it. Regardless, he was young and he would eventually find his strength and way. "My story, I kinda don't have one. As a Jounin, I have been on some dangerous missions, but right now I really should be training." He said tapping his chin. "Then again when you're a Jounin you spend a lot of time handling other things - and training is usually done with your life on the line against someone trying to kill you." He said with a smile.

Hopefully he didn't scare the little Genin with the realities of the shinobi world.

Nirashi stood quite a bit taller than the boy, about seven inches. He would have to lower his head a little to get a good view of the fella, even though they weren't right on each other. "My name, is Nirashi Cora." He spoke. He could tell by this boy's youthful appearance that he was obviously a Genin, probably a recent graduate from the academy at that.

Nirashi had no destination or plans in mind. It seemed recently the country was going through a lot of governmental changes, hearing there would be a new Kazekage soon. However, not apart of the council it was really no way for him to validate such, not to mention he avoided the whole political scene during his resting periods. It would be awfully nice to get some new missions up on board though. But, back to this kid. "Zorishi, nice to meet you. And it's good to see youth instilled with love for there village. What ninja art did you excel in during the academy?" The Jounin asked keeping the conversation going.
