The blades of vengeances have fallen swiftly. The shinobi are no more as 'Absolute Justice' has returned...now, it is the Samurai that rule the Five Major Nations!
But at what cost? Have they become the very thing that they despised the most...? Heroes and villains seem to change roles every day, but one thing is for certain - we yearn for our freedom, for days gone by where we flew the skies unhindered.
”Indeed. But no matter, they are not why I‘m here.”
Yuugen would give Unmei a hard look, almost akin to a glare, with steeled eyes that seemed to know nothing of the word yield. Her thoughts traveled along the path she had chosen, attempting to deduce how she would gather information from this boy, who also seemed to not be from this city; judging from the looks he was getting as well. Perhaps he was well traveled, having obtained a knowledge of the area and others, perhaps even of the relic she sought.
“You see, I‘m searching for a relic of power, although it is not as one you may have heard of. It is, in fact, organic and very much alive…”
Her body would turn from him halfway, both of her hands placed into her pockets, and a distant look would come to her eyes. There was a place in the world that housed a tree, this tree was known as the tree of life, and from it came a beast. Of course this beast was the relic in which she sought, upon the island where it rested, or so she had been told those years ago. With this beast, none would be able to stand against her, but she would need to find it first, and so she would have no choice but to ask.
“I wonder. Have you heard of an island that houses a tree known as a Life Tree? A dangerous beast is said to live within it, gaining strength from a battle many years ago, until it can wreck havoc once again.”
She would look at him again, gauging his reaction, searching his face for any indication that he may have the information she was seeking. For the last two years of her life she had done nothing but search and train, continuously, looking for a power to match the gods in the heavens. This beast was her only chance, said to look like a hound of pure snow white fur, containing the elements of the world within his body, and she would have that power! Even if it cost her very life and soul.
Fuckin’ people were always in the way, negating her stride, interrupting deep intellectual thought with elbows and shouts. Her enormous blade would keep the bulk of them at bay, but people would only heed the warning of tempered steel for so long, before they found the courage to ignore their own safety in their rush to live life. Pathetic. Yet she found herself carried by the stream of people, fighting a current she could not see, pulled in directions she wished not to travel. Finally stopping before a blacksmith’s shop, she took the moment to get her barring, and figure out where in town she had been carted. A finger would touch her left shoulder in a dainty manner as to not show hostility.
Her eye twitched as she begun spinning on her heel, an about face to place the one that tapped her eye to eye, and get a visual of who seemed to want to die in this town today. It was a male, familiar looking as it was, but she knew that she did not know him. Yuugen hesitated to cut him down, eyeing the outstretched arm and open palm, the 100 ryo in a small pouch. Touching her own back pocket, she realized that she had accidentally forgotten it on her own table, to which this boy was now somewhat of a savior. Raising an eyebrow, the left one of course, she would take the money in her right; while her left was placed into the a pocket.
“Sigh. I always forget money like that. You ain’t so bad. Thanks for helping me out like that…uh…what’s your name?”
She would, of course, allot him time to answer this question, since it would be rude to ramble. People were avoiding the two it seemed, probably expecting some kind of conflict to erupt, as both of them were armed; dangerous to the knowledge of the people as well. Placing the cash where it belonged, she used her right hand again to adjust her hat, clearing her throat to speak after he had spoken his name; maybe even interrupting anything he had to say next by accident.
“My name is Yuugen. Just Yuugen. It’s a pleasure.”
She would outstretch her own hand, palm open, turned toward her own body in the gesture of a handshake. Normally she wasn’t this friendly, but he had given her a hand, so it was only fair to be nice for now. Whether or not she was still kind after their encounter remained to be seen. It was getting to be a bit passed noon now, the wind picking up a bit, but not so much as to toss your hair or blow your hat away. The feel of it was nice upon the skin though, ruffling your clothes a bit, and cooling you down after a long day outside. Now it seemed that things were going decent, aside from the eyes that never left, the people of the village ever watching.
”I could go for some noodles, I guess. And beef. Gotta have some beef. Drink can be tea.”
Yuugen sat in a little noodle house, well maybe not so little, on the east side of the capital city of Tsuchi no Kuni. Bakudon Gai was a busy place today, filled with people dressed in various clothing, as the capital city of any country is treated as a trade hub. As such, the out of the ordinary in some places Yuugen, who carried a gigantic sword and wore her strange hat, did not seem so out of place here. Hunters of big game and demons, men and women from all over, along with the people of the city copying other styles in their own way gave the city its own flavor.
Sitting at an circular oak table, leaning her nearly seven foot blade against the nearby wall, scooting her chair in for what would be somewhat of a wait. Around her the people conversed, not particularly paying her any mind, but the locals always noticed when a new face was around; their looks lingered a few moments longer than others. Finally, after about twenty minutes, her noodles and beef would make it to the table, along with the tea of course. As the waitress left, she knew that they were watching her, feeling the eyes on her as she began to eat. It even seemed quieter in the noodle house, as if the people were now whispering, while they watched her eat. Just what was up with this place? After she was done eating and drinking, she would push away from the table, paying and leaving to see what the city was like.

Modified Claymore (Heavy Blade/Great Sword)
Claymore Rank: C Type: Primary / Melee Description: The claymore is a two-handed, double-edged sword with a cross hilt, of which the guards were usually turned down. Heavy and long, the blade can surpass five feet, and requires great strength to weild. Cost: 1,000 Ryo
Zanbatou Mochi (Charged Attack Sentinel) [325exp] Rank: D, C, B, A, S Type: Supplementary / Specialty Taijutsu / Ju Kenshi Range: Self Stamina: High Special: Highest rank known determines strength of charge, as well a charge time. Bonus damage calculator - add the base rank of the Ju Kenshi's sword plus any bonus it brings, PLUS the highest rank of this technique.
D: Full Post (5+ seconds) C: 3/4th of a Post (4 seconds) B: Half a Post (3 seconds) A: 1/4th of a Post (2 seconds) S: Near-Instant
Description: The basis of all Ju Kenshi techniques, Zanbatou Mochi alows the Ju Kenshin to briefly "charge" their attack, pausing momentarily in order to gather their might. Then, quicker than the blink of an eye, they can unleash their strike anywhere they please, extra force behind it to either defend against incoming strikes or deliver an extra useful strike. Though the brief charge and small period after the swing leaves the user open, the trade-off is a devastating swinging sword that can decimate anything in its way. Domain: Ju Kenshin
Kousen (Blade Beam) Rank: D, C, B, A, S Type: Offensive / Specialty Taijutsu / Ju Kenshi Range: See special! Stamina: Very High Special: Highest rank known determines distance traveled and speed of blade beam. Damage is reliant on 'Zanbatou Mochi' plus the user's highest rank known, resulting in bonus slashing damage.
Description: As its name implies, the Blade Beam is a range attack as a result of a sword swing. The user cocks their weapon back briefly and, after charging, cuts the air before them. The result is pure cutting power forming a near invisible blade beam that travels wherever the user desires. The speed of the cutter is frighteningly fast, and can grow in size as the Ju Kenshi grows in skill and strength. Finally, the strength of the beam is directly proportionate to the cutting powers of the blade employed. Domain: Ju Kenshin. Zanbatou Mochi of equal rank.
Shikotsumyako (Calcium Compression) [75exp] Rank: D, C, B, A, S Type: Supplementary / Special Bloodline Technique / Nintaijutsu Range: Self Chakra/Stamina: Low Special: Strength of ALL bone creations depend on highest rank known. Effectively naturally defends against attacks of equal or lower rank. Description: A Kaguya's most basic and innate skill, it allows them to alter the calcium composition of their entire bone structure to whatever density they see fit. Whether they harden a whole section of bone or just one individual piece doesn't matter; if the Kaguya wills it, one normal bone can become as tough as iron. This is the basis behind their bloodline skill and all their jutsu, and as they progress in skill and power, their bones become harder and stronger. Domain: Kaguya.
[x]Shunpo (Flashing Light Steps) [75exp] Rank: D Type: Supplementary / Taijutsu / High-Speed Movement Range: 0 - 10 meters Stamina: Low Special: Shunpo is much like Shunshin, a forward-moving high-speed technique that transports the user across a short space in the blink of an eye. When used, the user will rush almost instantly to wherever they are facing. The user can Shunpo once per thread, plus once more each time retrained. One cannot attack or perform techniques during Shunpo. Description: Shunpo, a Taijutsu master's response to the Body Flicker Technique, relies solely on the user's ability to harness their inner ki and gain enough stamina to withstand the sudden strain imposed on one's legs. However, once properly trained, the Taijutsu Type will find their legs moving at speeds unknown to common man, to the point most would make the foolish mistake of assuming one is using Shunshin. However, unlike that chakra inspired run, Shunpo is pure stamina and movement skill, allowing for tighter, quicker, and more reactionary movements essential for someone that relies on movement. Although Shunpo itself moves in a single line, its many variations is what makes it so lethal. Domain: Shunpo - Universal Taijutsu.
Ants? Bugs?! Lack of chakra and exhaustion?! Nothing more for this soldier to do but panic, swatting at ants as the darkness overtook him. Goodbye cruel world, guess you can‘t bring the heat. Sucks though, because this kitchen wasn‘t even hot enough to get out of yet. Haibanrouzeki-Ku would break upon his body as he fell, landing upon the tip of the blade, destroying it with his hardened flesh.
Now it was getting fun! Here came the blade, exploding a full twelve meters as the Samurai would swing, sweeping low toward his mid section. His previous zag had given him enough time to switch weapon hands, placing his sword in his left, and then dropping lower to the ground as he lifted his own blade. The chakra enhanced weaponry of the Samurai and Satsugai‘s own Gladius would collide, and rather than jumping over the weapon, he would hold and dash forward. Now at a break neck pace, he rushed inward toward Samurai, keeping his body low and holding the weapon against his own. Five meters in a split second, he would push the blade away from himself, to try and send it wide as his body lowered.
A hand would be placed on the ground, his left leg extending, his left hand holding the blade kept up for defense. The cylinder was a concern, but he hoped that the Samurai would be shocked enough by the tactic to buy him this amount of time, getting close enough for this very maneuver. It was time to sweep the leg, Johnny! VIOLENT WIND! The sweep was fast, trained as it was, in order to whip the Samurai off of his feet. If successful, Satsugai would sweep his own blade upward from the ground, attempting to cut through the armor with the enhanced Haibanrouzeki-Ku. If not, he would merely stay on the defense this low to the ground, crouched like a jungle cat, ready to move if need be.
Reppuu (Violent Wind) Rank: D Type: Offensive / Taijutsu Range: 0 - 5 meters Special: Affects up to one opponent per kick, plus one more each time retrained, as long as opponent's are within the 5 meter vicinity of the kick. Description: Using their quickness and agility, the user moves low to the ground, dropping and delivering a spinning kick to sweep their opponent off their feet. Domain: Goken
“Hah…well now. That‘s a neat trick, but let‘s see how it stacks up.”
Satsugai would remove his upper clothing, only his tank top on now, the steam rising from his flesh like a hell-born demon. His red eyes flashed with anticipation, eager for the duel to begin, and Haibanrouzeki-Ku burned in his hand. Body temperature had climbed to the maximum, three times the normal human body, climbing to about 300 degrees. Chakra would pour forth into his blade as well, the weapon extending, although that extension could not been seen; at least not by the normal eye. The two men stood a mere twenty meters apart, facing each other with their blades, one covered in armor and the other barely at all.
“Let‘s get this started!”
Satsugai would begin a jogging forward movement, a zig zagging path that would keep his steps light, allowing for quicker reaction should it be needed. The distance closed by this would be a simple ten meters, mostly to gauge how the Samurai would react, a test of the waters as it would be.
Satsugai watched as all the bugs poured out, what seemed like thousands, maybe even millions, lifting this guy off the ground for whatever reason. So it seemed that he was not going to fight him on his own terms, but rather on the terms on someone that manly used critters to do his dirty work, which meant that this is gonna be kind of boring. Oh well. He would just have to kill a large colony of bugs, then he could get to their…queen? Would this guy be considered their queen? Biology wasn‘t his favorite subject, but he remembered that bugs had queens that told them what to do, so maybe he should ask.
“Real quick before we start. Since you control all those bugs, does that make you their queen? I‘m curious.”
Inwardly Satsugai was laughing, more of a chuckle, at the prospect of this guy being a queen. Anyway, he would draw Haibanrouzeki-Ku, along with igniting his own flesh to a degree where others would not be able to lay hands (or legs) upon him. It was a typical battle preparation for the Airontoku, so it was nothing out of the ordinary, unlike this mass of bugs on the field. As if second nature, he would begin to feed chakra into the blade, extending it passed the normal limits, although this could not be seen due to the invisible nature of the worked chakra. Basically all that was left to do was close the distance, attack some bugs, and hope for the best. Currently they were about 22 meters away, so Satsugai began to jog forward, getting his feet moving so that he wouldn‘t be caught flat footed. They would now be 15 meters apart.
, A Type: Supplementary / Clan Kekkei Touta / Youton Ninjutsu Range: Self Special: At 'C' rank, the user may control his or her body temperature only to twice the average human body temperature. (97.6 degrees F., aka up to 195.2 degrees F.) The 'B' rank version allows use of other more offensive techniques (3 times the average human body temperature). Only the most skilled are able to master A rank, which opens a wider variety of techniques (4 times the average human body temperature). Description: Upon reaching the age of 5, all children of the Airontoku are taught the basics for manipulating and controlling body temperature. A key essential for all members of the clan, such a technique has various stages which allow higher temperatures to be used. Domain: Airontoku
Airontoku (Ironhide) Rank: D, C, B, A, S Type: Supplementary / Clan Kekkei Touta / Youton Ninjutsu Range: Self Special: Each rank allows immunity to bladed physical attacks of one rank less - i.e. the 'C' ranked version blocks 'D' ranked attacks, etc. Does not guard against blunt or smashing type attacks. Description: Over time spent with intense magma exposure and control, the skin of the user becomes resilient to weapons to a certain degree. With this prolonged exposure to the heat, their skin becomes rough and rugged, like that of leather, but to a much more durable degree. As such weapon attacks from bladed weapons such as kunai and swords become less effective against the clan member. Domain: Airontoku
Hien (Flying Swallow) Rank: B Type: Offensive / Taijutsu Range: 0 - 5 meters Special: Chakra blade cannot extend further than half what the total weapon measures. Description: By unconsciously feeding their chakra into any bladed weapon, the user will manage to extend the length of the weapon by providing an extra extension of invisible chakra. This creation will yield an extremely sharp edge that functions like the normal blade itself. By seeing only the user's bladed weaponry, the opponent may miss the Hien and misjudge how far they need to move to avoid an incoming strike. As a result, even if they manage to avoid the metal portion of the blade, the chakra portion may cut into them as well. Domain: Universal Taijutsu.
“Man… I‘m freezing my dick off out here. Where the fuck am I?”
Satsugai wasn‘t actually freezing his dick off, since the Airontoku could not actually get cold, but it was safe to say that he was getting a little cold. His dressy jacket, pants, and general all around dress clothes just weren‘t cutting it out here. Obviously he picked the wrong outfit, probably needing his mom to start getting him dressed again, or rather he could just change. No big deal. Stopping for a moment, he began to take his pants off, unzipping them and undoing the belt, pushing them down his legs. That‘s when someone decided to show up just out of the blue.
“Hey you fuckin‘ perv! Why don‘t you just get the fuck outta here! You tryin‘ to see my dick?!”
Quickly Satsugai would pull up his pants, redoing his belt, and tucking his shirt back in. Adjusting his tie, he would pick Haibanrouzeki-Ku up from the show, shaking his sheathed sword off a bit, before pointing a finger at the would-be pervert. His eyes were aflame, and the rain had matted down his usually spiked hair, while the snow crunched under his sneakers; yes he wore sneakers with his dress clothes.
“Oh. You smug son of a bitch. You rape a guy in the forest and then blow me off?”
Satsugai was glaring at the guy, angry about pretty much nothing, as he would always seem to get in these situations. It was almost instantaneous, as if it was practiced, or perhaps natural. His arm would shoot out, extended almost full way, and his middle finger would climb to a fully extended stature.
“You want a piece of me, you piece of shit!”
Tossing down the travel bag he always carried, made of a flammable material so that his stuff wouldn‘t catch aflame, he would growl at the samurai. It was about time to get this fight started, as he would pull out his blade, Haibanrouzeki-Ku, the Orgy of Pain. It seemed like some kind of macabre sex scene from the hilt down, women in filthy positions, completely nude, while the blade itself burned with its own seeming flame; although that was just the lighting.
“Wow. You guys really beat the fuck outta him. Haha“
Satsugai, the Airontoku of Kumogakure no Sato, and a beast; at least in his own mind. Today he wore a suit over his wife beater, no particular reason for the dress up, just did it to do it. In fact, he kinda looked like he should be a student in some school. Haibanrouzeki-Ku was in his hand, still in its sheathe of course, but dangling there none the less. Burning red eyes gazed upon the samurai and the scene, his lips curled up in a kind of half smile, obviously finding the site amusing.
“Personally, I wouldn‘t have used the hilt of my sword like that. Kukuku. But you guys in Iron Country do your own thing, I guess.”
Satsugai was feeling a bit frisky today, kind of like every other day, except today he was especially looking for a fight. His words were meant to goad the samurai into action, hoping that the fighter was hot headed enough to go for the taunt, without Satsugai having to physically do anything. Tilting his head left and right, he would crack his neck, clenching his fists to crack his knuckles before working his left arm; the one not holding his sword. A little bit of a wind was kicking up from his left side, small and unimportant, but at least it felt good.
“I bet you‘re totally into that kinda shit, aren‘t you? Nasty.”
