Haru’s Byakugan would watch for the slightest hint of movement from the foe as his shuriken neared its mark. Thus, before his bladed wrist had moved with even a small twitch, the boy’s palm would thrust forth. This movement would be made near-instantaneously, this due to him having just stepped into a Jūken stance, but also because, as a Hyūga, taijutsu movements were something he’d worked on relentlessly. As his arm fully extended, a rapid burst of chakra aimed for the middle of his opponent’s torso would be released.

This particular Hyūga technique would use a fairly sizeable amount of chakra, though he didn't feel it mattered as spars like these didn't usually last very long. If it connected, the invisible wave of chakra would not only have the force to knock him back, but also shut off all tenketsu of the affected area, and leave the ninja paralyzed. The blast would be nearly halfway to him as a very sudden, blinding light erupted; he could only guess it to be the stranger’s jutsu, though regardless would leave him disoriented.

• Byakugan (All Seeing White Eye) [activated]
  Special: When first unlocked, the Hyuuga may see up to 50 meters, 359 degrees all around them.
  Description: As its name implies, the Byakugan is just that, a featureless white eye that can occasioanlly posses hints of blue-gray and lavender, respectively. When the Byakugan is activated, the user's pupils become more distinct, and the veins near their temples bulge, representing the sudden chakra activation that makes the doujutsu possible. All members of the clan possess and can use the kekkei genkai from birth, as opposed to needing to awaken it. Byakugan gives the user a near 360º field of vision, except for one blind spot at the back of the neck above the third thoracic vertebra. With this vision, the Hyuuga can see through solid objects, and can use a degree of telescopic sight. The distance and the degree of telescopic sight varies from person to person, and can be improved. Finally, one of the greatest uses of the Byakugan is the ability to see chakra, chakra flow as well as the chakra circulation system inside the body with great detail. It is from this particular ability that they are able to employ their ultimate attack style - the Gentle Fist.

• Kaze Sōjū (Wind Manipulation) [activated]

  Type: Ninjutsu / Offensive / Defensive
  Range: 0-5 Meters
  Chakra: Low - Massive. (See Special)

  Special: Initial activation cost is low, maintaining control requires an additional low amount of chakra to be consumed every turn. While maintaining, Chakra cost is furthered depending on how the jutsu is utilized. Range of manipulation varies by rank — D/C is basic, B/A is advanced, S grants the user complete control. Wind can't be manipulated unless hand movements are used to direct it.
  Description: After forming a string of hand seals, the user is able to control the air within a five meter radius of himself. Upon activation, a flick of the wrist, twirling of the hand, etc. will command the wind to do things such as altering an incoming kunai's direction (basic), creating sharp rifts of Fūton-imbued chakra (advanced), etc. The higher the user's rank of the jutsu, the more powerful his or her manipulation will be.

• Hakke Kūshō (Eight Divination Signs Air Palm)

  Type: Offensive / Clan Taijutsu
  Range: 0 - 10 meters
  Chakra: High
  Special: Chakra burst measures roughly the size of an adult male's chest cavity, and travels roughly at twice the speed of a kunai, reaching up to 10 meters, plus 10 more each time retrained. Knock-back is determined by halving the user's maximum Palm range. Chakra can pass through solid defenses up to 5 meters, and can damage tenketsu, causing internal damage.
  Description: Once the Hyuuga understands the art of summoning energy all at once into a single, fine strike, they are able to execute with the same precision, but from a distance. Extending chakra from their body, the Hyuuga will thrust their palm at the target, sending out an invisible wave of chakra that can knock the opponent back greatly. Worst of all, should this burst strike the victim's tenketsu, they shall be paralyzed.

The Kumo-nin would stand ready as the two earth golems appeared about five meters apart. His near 360-degree field of vision would allow him to watch them, while still keeping an eye on the human opponent. He looked to be coming up from below; it was now time for the boy to execute his plan. Just before he’d reached the surface, Haru would launch his weapon at the ground, exactly where his head would pop up. He’d timed it so the kunai grenade would collide and explode just as the top of the foe’s head barely protruded from the earth.

If it connected, the brunt of the explosion would be exacted on the Shinobi’s skull. However, in the case that it didn’t, Haru would shunpo backwards ten meters, afterward stepping into a Jūken stance.

  Type: Passive / Taijutsu / High-Speed Movement
  Range: 0-10 meters.
  Stamina: Low
  Special: Gives the user the option to perform a Shunpo backwards.
  Description: Although Shunpo is normally executed in a linear fashion, with enough training, the Taijutsu Master can learn to limit their forward travel speed in exchange for a near-instantaneous backwards move. This essentially allows rapid movement to retreat or create distance between user and opponent.
  Domain: Shunpo - Universal Taijutsu.
  

He'd eye the area as the other ninja spoke, taking note of anything that could be used to his advantage. He'd stop the moment his opponent went silent, and would activate his Kekkai Genkai just before utilizing a shunpo; he'd swiftly get to work after near-instantaneously appearing ten meters ahead of his previous location. Upon his feet replanting themselves in the ground, Haru'd extract and launch one Kunai, which would be aimed for his foe's stomach. His unused hand would be held in front of him, ready to be used in defense should the need arise.

• Shunpo (Flashing Light Steps) [1/11 used]

  Type: Supplementary / Taijutsu / High-Speed Movement
  Range: 0 - 10 meters
  Stamina: Low
  Special: Shunpo is much like Shunshin, a forward-moving high-speed technique that transports the user across a short space in the blink of an eye. When used, the user will rush almost instantly to wherever they are facing. The user can Shunpo once per thread, plus once more each time retrained. One cannot attack or perform techniques during Shunpo.
  Description: Shunpo, a Taijutsu master's response to the Body Flicker Technique, relies solely on the user's ability to harness their inner ki and gain enough stamina to withstand the sudden strain imposed on one's legs. However, once properly trained, the Taijutsu Type will find their legs moving at speeds unknown to common man, to the point most would make the foolish mistake of assuming one is using Shunshin. However, unlike that chakra inspired run, Shunpo is pure stamina and movement skill, allowing for tighter, quicker, and more reactionary movements essential for someone that relies on movement. Although Shunpo itself moves in a single line, its many variations is what makes it so lethal.

Following an understanding nod at her first few comments, the boy would then wait patiently for Hirihi’s response to his medic question. A few short moments would pass before she spoke; he began to grow a bit worried during that time, as Haru wasn’t sure if maybe he’d crossed a line and asked something that she didn’t necessarily feel comfortable answering. As he swiftly contemplated on it, the Genin noticed that the death of a close one was probably a big reason many ninja entered this type of profession, and almost decided to say nevermind.

However, that didn’t seem to be the case with this Kunoichi, and instead her reasoning was completely different. He’d sigh in relief, concurrently taking a seat beside her on the edge of the roof. Thinking about it, her story had still been pretty intriguing, especially the small fact that she was actually 19. Although he didn’t feel age mattered, it was still a surprise, seeing that he’d have guessed her to be about 14 or 15 at the most. Even the mentioning of her being picked on had been a shock, as she didn’t look the type to get pushed around.

Haru would eye her hand as Hirihi finished speaking, watching the semi-familiar, bright green glow as she demonstrated a fundamental healing technique. The brief display would lead into a new question of hers, the likes of which he’d have to think hard about before answering. It was tough, though he assumed she hadn’t expected it to be, and thus would simply look at her with a slight smile. His inside emotions were, however, far from happy; it was a very revelatory few seconds for the boy, as he began to ponder on the lastest inquiry.

However embarrassing or sad it may have been, he felt that there was nothing too distinctive about him; what am i, aside from my clan…? Nothing was the harsh answer, though he hoped it’d change while he grew and developed as a Kumo Shinobi, away from them all. Seconds would pass before he finally spoke on his thoughts, “hmm.. other than my clan, what’s special about me? I don’t think there’s much; the hyūga are all I’ve ever known, up until me graduating from the academy, which happened only a little over a month ago.”

Haru would force himself to stop thinking about it for the time being; however, had decided it’d be something he’d have to come back to when alone. The young Hyūga would consequently end the little subject, now directing his attention on moving their conversation toward a different topic. He’d recall Hirihi speaking on her venture to the iron country, a region he only knew as the place that had held the Chunin exams. He was nearing the end of his stay at the academy upon them being announced, and thus hadn’t been able to enter.

“you said you travelled to tetsu no kuni; were you there for the exams? heh, if you were, how'd you do?"

In the meantime of waiting for an answer to his question, the young Hyūga would active his Kekkai Genkai. Small veins at the side of both eyes would instantaneously bulge; he’d then take the next few seconds to inspect the ninja around him more thoroughly. Towards the end of this short time period, he’d begin to hear one answer his question, as well as make the assumption that Haru hadn’t been a Shinobi in Kumogakure for long. However true, the boy would say nothing in response, but rather continue to eye him with an impassive expression.

His attention would momentarily leave the stranger, and move to the girl as he began speaking to her; though, it’d turn back to the ninja once he’d asked to spar. Haru had graduated from the Konoha academy a little over a month ago, and though he’d been through a lot since then, the opportunity to fight as a ninja hadn’t presented itself. It’d been something he’d wanted to try, as he remembered loving the spars he used to partake in. Thus, the boy would step into a Jūken stance as he spoke, ready to begin his first battle as a Shinobi.

“heh, let’s go then.”

The sudden influx of emotions pouring through him were remarkable; the simple fact that he was here was amazing, that he'd accomplished the goals he'd set for himself only weeks ago. The transition from Konoha to Kumo Shinobi had been successfully completed; it was more evident than ever as he stared out at the landscape of Kaminari no Kuni that stretched above, but also the countless amount villagers below. "wow..." The sensation of being so high up made the boy chuckle, though a little frightened as he continued to stare down.

His senses would become more alert as he felt the presence of someone nearby; the young Hyūga’s gaze would twitch to his side for only a split-second before turning back to its original position. He’d spotted a Shinobi that had now taken a seat close enough for him to observe via his peripherals. It seemed she was here for the same reason he was, and didn’t appear to be emanating any hostile emotions. Thus, he’d let his guard down somewhat; however, of course, would still take time to watch and inspect the Kumo-nin.

Upon further examination, Haru noticed she looked to be older than he was; though he couldn’t have been too sure, as he felt he may have had her beaten height-wise. Once she turned her head towards him, the young Genin’s attention would leave the scenery altogether and start to wonder who this girl was. The boy would turn his head as she began to talk, now listening to her greeting with a faint smile before hesitantly deciding to speak himself. Although feeling slightly shy and apprehensive, he would try to utilize a more calm, friendly tone.

“oh, hello.. i-i’m new here, so uh.. you know, just getting a better view of everything.”
