mission025.
The youthful Genin would wake up this morning alive with energy and drive, excited and ready to begin his day, and the missions he had planned. Yesterday, after dropping the delinquents he’d captured off, Haru had stopped at the Kumogakure mission compound and picked up three fairly interesting assignments. Reflecting back on it, he had almost believed them to be fake, as there would be no actual work involved; but rather, they each consisted of performing in front of thousands of Kumogakure no Sato citizens, in the form of a battle.
To him, the idea seemed wild, and was definitely something the boy had never seen or heard of before. However, no matter how outlandish it appeared, he reveled in the opportunity to get paid for fighting; the fact that he’d been allowed to choose who/what he went against made it that much better. Questions would arise as he sat in bed, and he began wondering what happened to the humans that lost; his only guess was they’d be killed. He would’ve been a fool to think otherwise, as to the animals he was simply another prey, and hopefully, meal.
Still pondering on the upcoming task, he couldn’t help but do as he’d done so many times before — that is, think back to how life had been in Konoha. Up to this point, the only changes in his view of the village were that of anger transforming into pity, as he, in a way, felt for the ninja without enough courage to get up and leave. It was sad, seeing that Shinobi residing there would never get the chance to do what Kumo-nin did. It’d been the reason he left, and one of several for why he hadn’t regretted it. He’d shake his head, forgetting the subject.
Moving onto more present matters, the boy would hop up from his bed, subsequently making his way into the shower. After dressing, he would grab the three mission notes, reading over each of them to verify that he hadn’t overlooked anything important. He hadn’t, and upon putting them all in his pocket, the boy would exit his small dwelling. Haru took all three due to it being early, and him not expecting the fights to last very long. Stepping out, he’d happily take a deep breath of the fresh Kaminari air, afterward beginning his journey toward the Coliseum.name; death squad
