The boy was certain that this mission was going to be a piece of cake considering he was going to be with two other shinobi who were part of Konoha's prestige clans. He kept looking through their profile sheet as a means of developing more strategies based upon his own skills as well as the skills of his team mates. He was confident that he was capable of doing this on his own but he also knew that team work was what a shinobi was born for. He found this was his chance to learn alongside two other genin.

"Oh, excuse me," A colorful, cheery voice called out to Helios as a rather tall woman with long, flowing hair done up in a high ponytail with two, thin strands of hair framing her face approached him. He recognized her attire as being part of the Nara clan. "I'm sorry to bother you but, if you're on your way to the gates could you deliver this to my daughter Lili? She forgot her shinobi pouch again." The lady handed Helios a small brown pouch that had two straps along the back to tie to the leg.

"Sure thing," Helios responded with a small smile as she placed it within his outstretched hand. "In fact I'm on the same mission as her. I'll deliver it to her as soon as I get there." Helios nodded as he began to turn, unknowingly showing her the blue tag he had placed on the shoulder of his sleeved arm.

"Oh, are you going to be her captain for this mission? You must have a lot of mission experience for someone your age then. I wish you the best of luck!"

The boy did as he was instructed as he walked in casually, taking a look at the captain as he seemed to have a half-smile on his face as though he was happy, if not expecting, Helios to turn up. The desk the captain was sitting at had numerous sheets of paper scattered upon its facia, all different ranked missions though most of them marked as C and B ranks. Taking his position as was normal, Helios stood in front of the captain as he awaited his assignment with determination. "So captain, what can I do for you today?" Helios asked as he looked down at the sheets before him.

"Ah, yes, to the point. I like that," The captain smiled as he was impressed with the young boy's forwardness. Using the edge of his hand to clear a pile of papers out of the way he issued him with one particular sheet, a C rank mission brief, that was part of a pile consisting of more than one copy. "We're in need of a bolstering in our ranks, particularly at the Konoha gates. We've had word from the recon team that bandits and other crazy people and animals have been attacking the guards at all hours of the day. So we need you and some other people to help at the post."

The boy began to skim through the mission briefing which, surprisingly, was short. the only thing that was on this document that hadn't already been explained were the type of attacks; hostile groups include wild, enraged animals, bandits and even shinobi from other villages. It seemed as though these attacks were getting heavier and more frequent in the last few days. It seemed that the villages goals were to inject a large number of troops to the gate for a short span of time in order to intimidate hostile targets.

"That's all good and fun," Helios seemed to state without a hint of duty in his voice, as though this was a trivial game to him. "[/color=iceblue]"Seems like a fun way to kill time. Could I ask of any other shinobi who are also present in this mission?"[/color]

It was any wonder how long it had been since Helios did any sort of mission. A week? Maybe two? It didn't matter; today was the day where he would stand on his own two feet, walk out that front door, and prepare to show the Hidden Leaf exactly who he was. Who was he? A naked pale shinobi. Before contemplating even setting a single step past the door frame he had to get himself ready for his mission. Hopping from his bed, Helios gave himself a good stretch, arms wide apart as his back arched to the rear. He turned to find his robe, sword and hakama sitting upon the dressing table. Quickly he got his gear together, put on his sandals and stepped out the door.

Outside was definitely one of the more better days Helios had seen in a while. Then again, he was cooped up in his room dying of muscle pains for a while that all he could see on the village was the top half of the Hokage's castle, several trees and one caterpillar on the window sill. The sky was of a bright ice blue, crystalline if it were to take a shape, with passing cotton clouds drifting seamlessly through heaven's gentle breeze. It was certainly a day that Helios could get to grow used to. He only wished that every day was as grand as this. Unfortunately, with so much heat the village tends to get and with the moisture from the trees, it tends to rain as much as it does shine. It's a shame it doesn't snow either.

The pathway to the mission office seemed to be clear today; perhaps because most of the missions had been done while Helios was taking his break. It was a shame really, Helios wished that it would be more busy to show that he could be needed at any given time due to the lack of available workforce. Now it made Helios feel like he was slacking for so long that all of the redundant and petty tasks now lay upon his shoulders. Still, he had to do something; he needed to keep fit, get some training, and more importantly the experience. He looked at the stairway that proceeded to the mission's office, not knowing the last time he'd seen such an incline. His legs began to feel the pain before he even took a single step, but nonetheless he proceeded onwards, ready for his next assignment.

That's not entirely true.

Getsugakure is an actual village that was featured in an episode of Naruto, and even two of the Genin in the Chuunin Exams were from this village.

The arena stank of the stench of musk, sweat and blood to the point where it felt like this place hadn't been cleaned since the day of its conception. The flooring was like bare stone, rock and dirt giving the assumption that this entire area was built upon bedrock. The arena was supported by four tall yet rather thin pillars, which is rather baffling considering they were holding up another entire building above them and still they haven't reached their shearing point. Like the floor, the walls were only of bare rock with a scattering of lanterns around them to keep the place lit, although the walls and pillars had signs of bloodshed while the floor remained clean, though perhaps the dirt absorbed it in a manner in which sand does.

As Helios looked around his attention was caught at the high pitched grind of metal upon metal as three other portcullis' on the north, west and south walls began to slowly open. Quickly, two wolves on the north and south entrance dashed out while the western one, the one directly facing Helios, slowly walked out. The two at each side of Helios quickly dashed around to his blind spots in order to flank him, using pack tactics. Each one growled in hunger and bared their sharp teeth and hunger-driven slobber.

"Ten seconds," Helios muttered under his breath as he placed a hand in his pocket. Quickly with two fingers and a thumb he began to fumble for an Explosive Tag and a Kunai, wrapping the former around the handle of the latter. "that's all this will take."
