Kusa's Freezing Winter
PERSONOLOGY
- Name: Nakamura, Ujiyasu
- Age: 25
- Clan, BL, or Kekkei Touta: Elemental Kekkei Genkai - Hyouton
- Country and/or Village: Kusagakure no Sato
- Rank & Profession: Jounin. Craftsman
- Difficulty Setting: Hard
- Releases/Senses: Hyouton, Fuuton and Suiton
- Types: Primary – Ninjutsu/Genjutsu. Secondary – Taijutsu.
- Chakra Pool: Massive + 2x High
PHYSICALITY
- Height: 5’9”
- Weight: 209 pounds
- Apparel: While Ujiyasu used to wear striking colours in the past, nowadays he tends don clothes with a more reserved colour scheme. A common theme with his attire is that it is normally fur-like in appearance. Whether or not it’s from an animal with fur, or well designed and manipulated wool work remains to be seen, but it tends to contribute to the eccentric appearance he has. He also marks his face with red paint in a style that, on first glance would appear random, actually seems to represent the eye. These markings only just border his eyes with some parts, particularly the top and the bottom of the socket, seemingly merged together, almost as if he didn’t paint there.
He also wears a rope-like sash that gives off the impression that they hold up his loose pants, which also carries some of his items. The satchels and packs he places on the belt are positioned placed almost as if daring someone to try and steal it from him (though he is smart enough not to put the more valuable stuff on there). Unlike his top, the pants are normally a single colour, which further adds to the contrast in his overall apparel. He either wears sandals, or goes bare foot, depending on his tastes or if he feels the situation calls for either. - Body Appearance: For a boy his age, Ujiyasu has the appearance of a powerhouse. His childhood was spent scrapping with other kids (some willing, others asked for it by provoking) and he worked hard with his family. As such his body shows more tone and bulk, giving one the impression that he is nothing more than a wild brawler, or at best a pure Taijutsu specialist. He still has a few years left of growth on him, so folks who know him feel that he will likely become much taller, however a lot speculate that he’s had his growth spurt, so any increase would be slight. His hair is a wild, dirty blond, that flows to his hips, and almost looks like a lion’s mane. Most would question him for his choice of hair style, but Ujiyasu keeps it simply because he likes it.
- Blemishes & Scars: After the Chuunin exams, his arms and legs show a multitude of small scars that litter his limbs from multiple exploding pouches. His tendency to go barefoot when he decides not to wear sandals has made the base of his feet more coarse with a few nicks here and there on the top of his feet. Is hands also show signs of wear and use due to his physical nature. From time to time he shows signs of being in some fights or adventuring out in the diverse landscape of Kusa no Kuni.
COGNITION
- Personality: The eight years of being a shinobi has been a mixed experience for Ujiyasu. The first year was quite traumatic, with his first near-death experience at the Chuunin Exams and his first kill shortly thereafter, but he learned much and became much more level-headed than he used to be. His time with Kasumi Sansei has brightened his outlook on life, and he finds himself a more... relaxed man. He is still serious when it comes down to it, but he has become more calmer over the years, and had gotten over his shell-shocked psychological condition.
- Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
- Allegiance: Kusa no Kuni and Kusagakure no Sato, but also to himself and the people he considers his friends.
- Quirks & Tendencies: Ujiyasu is less likely to joke around than he used to, and is not as spontaneous as before. He's more willing to learn things that are out of his normal interests, especially if it could mean the difference between changing Kusa from being a punching bag for the other Nations and history repeating itself. When one talks to him, he may seem disinterested, largely due to his mind adjusting to the experiences he went through, but he'd be quick to push someone to spit what they want out.
- Likes & Dislikes: These days he still values freedom over everything else. His love of fighting has diminished as of late but he will do what he can to bring someone down if needed. He utterly hates Kusagakure's recurring history of being destroyed in previous wars, and it's his prime motivation these days as he seeks to prevent it from happening again.
(This is set in the DBZ universe on an old board I went to. Using Nakamura Ujiyasu in this, as it introduced Ujiyasu, as well as his foster father and sensei, Judau Takeshi. This is an old RP that I figured would give a little preview of Ujiyasu. It's also part of a RP that spanned his childhood, largely because that forum had a heavy focus on words, so massive RPs were encouraged. Admittedly that is also a weakness of mine: I don't like writing any more than I feel I need to, since it detracts from the story I want to tell.
This is also an example of a more "serious" RP that I tend to do. Especially when I get lost in writing a story. =D)
A somewhat elderly man wearing black pants and a purple and black martial artist coat walked along the path as part of a daily habit early in the morning. His greying hair was tied back in a ponytail with one bang on either side of his face draped lazily. Master East had always liked such walks, as he had been getting to that stage in life where he would think about many things, especially considering taking on some disciples or opening a dojo. He wasn't interested in running such a business for money, after all money was too material an asset to be of real worth in battle... and besides he had sufficient funds if he ever needed get things. No, he merely wanted to pass on his teachings to another generation, so that what he had learned and perfected would not be lost to the sands of time.
Another martial arts tournament was coming up, so that was definitely the first port of call for the veteran fighter. Promising warriors have always gathered there and some actually have natural talent, but never were taught how to utilise their talent effectively, which was the general reason why most fighters would be willing to train under a sensei, as they would be able to tap into their abilities and learn many useful skills, as well as the discipline needed to be above using such abilities for vile means.
Sounded like the classic story of power corrupts.
The elderly, yet well built man chuckled as he considered the trite in that cliché, before he noticed someone hidden on the side of the road. Almost immediately, a very young boy charged at him and flailed wildly, almost as if trying to spook the man. Is this a set-up for a would be robber? As Master East placed his hand gently on the boy's forehead to keep him in place, amidst wild thrashing of arms from the strange lad, East observed the area for any sign of would be assailants. Bizarre... this boy is out all by himself, attacking passers by? What happened to his parents? The young boy still hadn't made any progress to his target since Master East held him with a palm to the forehead and seemed to be even more determined than ever to get even closer to attack the man.
The martial artist knelt to the boy's height and tried to talk to him.
“Hey... where are your parents?”
At that the boy seemed utterly stumped.
“Parents? Who are they?”
Unbelievable... this boy doesn't know what a parent is... perhaps this means he must have been an orphan that ended up being here by himself. An unfortunate fate, especially for one as young as this one. Hmmm...
An idea formed in his head, which would help the both of them out.
“Say, how about I take you home with me. I'll get you fed, washed and have a bed ready for ya.”
“But I wanna fight yooou!!!”
Master East's eyes widened at what the boy just said. That's not a good sign... he seems to treat fighting like a child would a toy or candy. He must have been born into something quite vicious to have imprinted such thoughts and make them seem normal to him. Hmmm, but this does present an opportunity for myself too.
Master East gave the boy a warm smile as he spoke up.
“I'll tell you what... if you come with me, I will teach you more on fighting, and we will spar regularly so you can brush up on those skills. But you must also learn control and a thing called discipline. You'll find out in time.” He added, seeing the look of confusion on the child's face.
“Ok! Let's go let's go let's go!!!”
Full of energy this boy... “Before we go, I'd like to know your name.”
“Nakamura, Ujiyasu! What about you?”
“Takeshi, Judau, but everyone calls me Master East. Alright, let's head off shall we?”
With that, the two turned back to follow the dirt road through the forest and to the small, wood and brick house deep in the woods, the North Mountains visible but barely. Smoke puffed out gently from the chimney as a small fire burned in the fireplace, keeping the interior warm. A clearing was next to the structure with massive stones placed there as additional training apparatus, along with some makeshift dummies and a self made martial artist course.
“Wow... what are all those things for?”
“These are the things I use to help me fight better and practise my skills. You will be using these too over time Nakamura-san. You have a long road ahead to become a strong and capable fighter, but I can tell this will help you immensely.”
The duo walked to the front, where East gently opened the door and let Ujiyasu enter first, so he could get a glimpse of his new home. It was a simple house, few luxuries, no television, hardly anything electric was in the house. Those that were, were used for cooking and washing. Master East didn't believe that relying entirely on electricity would be a healthy frame of mind, but he also thought that completely shunning it wasn't any better, so he opted to have a mix, things that he felt were better off without power was generally operated or done in a different way to the norm. Since young Ujiyasu probably hadn't had any real chance of using powered appliances or lived a privileged life, the elder man didn't think that this would come as an issue, that and the boy was young... he had plenty of time to learn about everything he needed to know.
“Now Nakamura-san, the bathroom is down the back there. You go get washed and I'll see about getting some clothes made for you, and get ourselves some food.”
“Ok!!”
The young lad ran to the bathroom and got himself ready to bathe, while Judau quickly cannibalised a sky blue sheet and sewed them to form a loose shirt and snug pants that would surely fit the lad. It didn't really take too long to do, as it was a simple matter of cutting the material, then stitching them up. He folded the clothes and placed them by the bathroom.
“Nakamura-san! Your clothes are just by the door, so grab them when you're finished in there.”
After receiving an affirmative response from the wild boy, Judau walked to the kitchen and prepared a meal of eggs, lettuce and beef and boiled some rice as well. He made a little extra as he figured that the young lad would be quite hungry, especially since it was likely he had to live off the land. Might get him into cooking at some point... that way he won't exactly be stuck for food when he's on his own.
After a few more minutes the bathroom door clicked open, then shut, and a few moments later opened again as Ujiyasu walked out of the bathroom in his new clothes.
“Ahhhh, that felt great! And these clothes feel great too! Thank you!!”
“No problem. It was the least I could do for you. Now take a seat at the table there, breakfast will be ready shortly.”
Shortly after the kid plonked himself on one of the spare chairs, Master East placed the plate of food in front of the boy, then spoke about it.
“Now I'm aware you young people tend to avoid vegetables, but I can assure you, that lettuce is actually quite refreshing, and is very good to have for warm meals. Most vegetables are when they're cold and raw. Try some when you've had a few mouthfuls of that rice and those beef strips.”
Ujiyasu munched on a few mouthfuls of the tasty rice and beef combo, then took a bite of lettuce like Judau suggested, and perked up a bit.
“Heeey, you're right! That does feel great after having some warm food. It's almost like having a drink, only not as much.”
“Exactly. It's also handy in case other food leaves you dry in the mouth. Most kids don't realise this, and they don't eat their vegetables without realising what they're missing out on.”
Having sat down and begun to eat his own mean, Judau thought to himself as he watched the young boy. This will be tough... teaching him the … “School of Master East” without his attitude toward fighting becoming a problem. Maybe there is something that could help the boy see that he can fight without being unlawful, or becoming a murderer. Hmmm...
For now though, he had an apprentice as well as a foster son. This was all he could have asked for.
(Now this one is on a game and a board that I go on nowadays, and this was done about a month ago. Note that the RP style is very different, especially as everyone usually didn't describe their characters, nor the arenas that they appear in, owing to the wrestler cards that are displayed, plus everyone posting for each wrestling show on a frequent basis, having to read and re-read the descriptions would get extremely tedious, especially as it's for a show, not a "story" per se. It is also speech heavy. This is also a part of the full RP, as it involved a great deal of posts, and I figured this would at least show a more "casual" RP.
For a brief rundown, Krethean is a wrestler in this, who is a massive and powerfully built man with the gimmick (a role or character) of a warlord who tries to improve humanity. Ruthless and extremely strong, at this point, he is considered one of the main eventers and a possible legend in his federation "Lin Kuei Wrestling". His usual attire consists of an armoured, maroon coat, black, cotton pants and black, leather boots. He also wears a metallic-and-leather hybrid pair of gauntlets, which he can use as illegal weapons if he chooses. His hair is brown, with rather thick "mutton-chops" and also has red eyes (through contacts of course =P ).

A feudal war horn blasts through the speakers as This is a Fight to Change the World plays, to a crowd who started to roar with cheers. Krethean exits the backstage area and walks forward. Stopping to look at the fans who started chants of "KRE-THEE-AN! KRE-THEE-AN!" before he advanced down the ramp and strode to the ring, his left hand held a microphone in hand.
As he made his advance, eight soliders rushed from backstage, each one carrying his flag: a black flag with a large, maroon hibiscus in the centre. The soldiers ran past Krethean and circled the ring, each one positioned, so there were two flags on each side of the ring, near the corners. Krethean himself reached the apron and stepped up onto it, then stepped over the top rope before he walked to the centre of the ring, the music faded out as he did.
Krethean waited a while for the crowd's chants to die down before he spoke up.
Krethean: "It makes me real glad to hear cheers ... because it tells me things have indeed gotten worse since I was gone."
The crowd cheered at Krethean's words, who waited for the crowd to quieten again before he spoke again.
Krethean: "My strategist, Liam, caught me up to speed on what's been going on... and I have to say... it has all gotten worse. But that is fine, because I have returned to correct everything that has gone wrong. I will purge the chaos from this federation and unify the people."
Krethean paced around the ring as he continued.
Krethean: "I mean... everyone can see clear as day everything that has gone on... let us begin with what remained of the AEU... oh... my apologies... I mean the "NAFF"."
Krethean: "The AEU had carried on after my death, they picked up new members in a man named Red Dragon, and my rival at the time, the Patriot. To hear that the Patriot had seen the light had made me smile... however, when Tommy became injured... that is when I became furious. You see... the NAFF lost sight of their cause. They are nothing more than weak fools who cannot grasp what true power is. Tommy had even shaken their unity when he returned and showed what was painfully clear to see. The Patriot has been blinded by his weak ambition and now Draco Man and Red Dragon are nothing more than lackeys to him. This weakness will bring about their demise."
Krethean: "Now this... other faction. The Corporation. Led by The Scar... the man who, during the time of the AEU, instigated countless acts of corruption. Now he is all about "The People's Era"... but the footage I have seen... kinda throws it into question. To hear that Tommy Chizzle has sided with him is a huge blow, as I have considered him a good friend and a valued ally."
Krethean pauses for a bit before he resumed, looking at the back with intensity.
Krethean: "However, that is the nature of war. People are bound to defect. Friends become enemies, as ideals clash. He might see Scar as the new messiah, but I don't. It is clear he uses his power to his advantage, despite calling his regime "The People's Era"."
Krethean: "As far as I am concerned... neither of these groups seem to care about unification. None seem to really grasp the idea of leadership and advancing the cause of humanity... and until I am convinced, I will resist both regimes. I will crush them both myself if I must and usher in a new era of prosperity."
The crowd seem on edge as Krethean made his declaration, unsure where Krethean stands in their eyes, but know he doesn't appear to be as bad as before.
Krethean: "This brings me to the last agent of this chaos... Oda Nobunaga. The Demon King who ended me briefly. He may have been powerful... but he stole that strength. He did not have it to begin with... and that is your downfall Nobunaga! The weak cannot grasp true power... and you simply stole that power. Sunday, I will kill you Nobunaga. Yes... this is a Death Match. The loser will die... and I can assure you... I will not die. Death failed to claim me twice, and I cannot see it happening a third time. It is fitting that I have returned at Immortality... for the gods themselves have given me immortality!"
Krethean: "Once you are dealt with, I will go for the person who has the "World Title"... because thanks to Nobunaga, I no longer have the Overdrive Title. Yes... I am a champion who never lost his belt... and I will break anyone who dares get in the way of my path of conquest... I will reclaim what is rightfully mine... and I will become the best in the federation."
