Anatomy: Ue's short blonde hair has gone white since his time in lock down, and laid flat where it once frayed wildly atop his head, though it still recedes at each corner, pushing forth a widow's peak at the helm of his robust forehead. His eyebrows are nonexistent, plucked out via torture, so only looming ridges remain. They sit close to a pair of piercing blue eyes, eyes that carve everything they see like a slasher's blade.

Heavy bags pull down on the areas beneath them, casting a dour shadow over his expression, and high cheekbones angle his face in a way that lends strength to his jawline. Knife thin lips and sunken eyes highlight the austerity of his powerful features; the aquiline nose and square chin that was once common in Kusagakure.

That same austerity evinces power through his look, power that is further supported by Ue's imposing physique. A lifetime of conflict hasn't done him many favors, but it has given him the strength suited for a career soldier. His muscles are clearly defined beneath his taut pale skin, a combination that gives him a sinewy and vascular appearance.

To the touch Ue feels more like a sculpture than an actual man, and to the eye he appears very threatening.  His body and face are covered in disfiguring scars, the most notable being one that bisects his left eye, pectoral, and torso; a memento left by a prideful Samurai's blade.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral with Neutral Evil tendencies.

Attitude: Uekyūchi is the festering result of external nurturing taking precedence over internal nature. He is, by most accounts, a terrible person. His incarceration has left him a harsh and vindictive man who almost always acts with his own interest in mind. This isn't for indecency's sake, however. Rather, his view of the world is staunchly amoral. He doesn't consider humanity as something that should be cherish or loathed, mostly because he doesn't consider it at all.

His words are always barbed with truth, but how he feels can't always be determined through his expressions, because beneath his volatile exterior lies a cerebral opportunist; one who is beguiling and duplicitous, with gears forever turning and eyes set toward the future.

Allegiances, allies, and even enemies, are all determined by their worth at any give point. Each of them serves as a means to an end, and when they are no longer beneficial they are treated like obstructions.

Another evident thing about Ue is his lust for conflict. A lifelong necessity to protect himself has hardened him to the woes of war and cultivated his barbaric mindset; he seldom shies away from an opportunity to fight and is thrilled by the chaos that ensues.

Best leave it to yourself to determine what you intend to be when dealing with him, be it friend or foe; letting Ue decide doesn't always lead to a promising close.

Yang techniques are based on the physical energy that governs vitality, and thus can be used to breathe life into form. This energy is the base to Ninjutsu. Ninjutsu refers to any technique that utilizes chakra and allows the user to perform actions that a normal person otherwise would be incapable of doing. Unlike genjutsu, which causes the opponent to experience illusions, the effects of ninjutsu are actual and physical in most cases. Ninjutsu relies on chakra and, most of the time, hand seals to be effective.

Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered a high-speed movement technique - to an observer caught in the optical illusion, it appears as if the user has teleported. This allows the user to escape or attack suddenly, should they need to. However, while a high-speed movement, if used in broad daylight, one will still be quite visible and as such, easier to be defended against. In order to achieve maximum effect, the user must combine it with a distraction.

Note: Despite popular belief, this is not an ability that allows an individual to teleport, or even move incomprehensibly fast. It simply combines high mobility with some disruption of visibility to conceal those movements. That in mind, if you can conceal your movement, it is common for this technique to allow very long-distance dashes before enemies may notice you.

A simple technique where two shuriken, like the Fūma Shuriken, are piled one onto another and thrown simultaneously. However, depending on the way it's used, it can prove its absolute efficiency. The trick is to somehow draw the enemy's attention towards the upper shuriken. Then, they have to deal with the path of the lower, unnoticed shuriken. However, if the enemy notices both shuriken, the technique ends up losing all of its efficiency.

With this technique a translucent string, both elastic and highly durable, is attached to a shuriken, making it possible to alter its path after having thrown it. An expert will have the ability to freely glide the shuriken in any direction with just a single movement of their fingertip. The first attack, challenging the enemy, is avoided and after a time-lag of several seconds, it will come from behind. Depending on the performance, the possible tactics can be infinite.

Note: By combining this technique with a Chidori enhancement, the user may cause the wire to break the Shuriken apart into multiple sharp slabs that can be directed by the user.

Taijutsu is a basic form of techniques that typically does not require chakra, though chakra may be used to enhance its techniques. Taijutsu generally require no hand seals to perform, occasionally making use of certain stances or poses, and are much quicker to use than ninjutsu or genjutsu. Taijutsu is simply put: hand-to-hand combat.

The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after hit by a strong enough force.

Kage Bunshin is an advanced Ninjutsu technique which grants the user the ability to create a tangible clone. Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's Chakra evenly among the clones and creates a real copy with form and substance, to the point the clone can utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows, and spawns with any primary and secondary basic weapons the original had. When the clone finally disperses, any knowledge it has gained is passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones.

Note: This technique is only capable of being learned by Jounin or above. Up to a maximum of five clones can be created total. Please note that the user’s Chakra is divided evenly among however many clones they create. Upon being destroyed, whatever remaining Chakra the clone has is given back to the user. Despite having an extended range (virtually limitless), these clones must be created within five meters of the user. Specifically, the clones spawn only with primary, special primary, and basic throwable weapons. Specifically, this includes things like Zankuuha, Swords, and Shuriken, but not items like explosive tags, explosive pouches, light bombs, or Relics.

Through the use of their innate ability with advanced cloning, the user will be able to create multiple clones of thrown shuriken. When used in combination with other jutsu, the technique allows the user to quickly overwhelm an enemy since, after performing the seals, multiple copies of the thrown tool seemingly pop out of thin air. The momentum, speed, weight and sharpness is all exactly the same as a regular shuriken.

Note: The user must know Kage Bunshin. Up to a maximum of thirty additional shuriken can be created with this technique.

Raiton, or 'Lightning Element', takes the form of electrical and lightning based attacks. allows the user to generate lightning by increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakra, allowing for piercing damage and fast movement.

Named after the fabled imaginary leader of the sky and thunder, this technique allows the user to feel like Zeus himself as they summon a tight bolt of electricity in their hand, similar to a javelin, so that they could throw it. The bolt will move through the sky quite fast, and carries deadly accuracy in the right hands. Upon making contact with the target, it immediately bursts into a vertical cylinder storm that surrounds the victim and delivers a plethora of shock damage.

A highly strategic raiton jutsu, the Plasma Ball allows the user to create a thick sphere of Raiton around their body, able to shock anyone that comes in contact with it immediately. Though no other jutsu can be cast while sustaining the shield, it makes up for it by becoming an ‘ultimate’ shield of sorts from regular, simple techniques and attacks.

Note: Any limb caught within the shield will be numbed for one post. Full body contact will result in being stunned for one post.

A very simple and effective Raiton technique known throughout, the user either takes twin weaponry or their own appendages, focuses their chakra into their center, and forms a ball of pure lightning. This newly formed threat can either be smashed into an opponent’s face, or tossed from a nearby distance. Repetitive exposure to the shocking has been known to leave its victims stunned.

Note: Being hit twice by this technique will stun an opponent for one turn.

Meant more as a reactionary technique than a main avenue of offense, this jutsu allows the user to essentially shoot out small lightning bolts from a free hand to anyone within a small range. This requires no seals to conjure, and can be shot out from one’s appendage during the most heated of combat. The damage is light and the bolts shoot off in a relatively straight line, at rapid speeds.

Raiton- Hiraishin is a Ninjutsu utilizing the Lightning Element. After coming into physical contact with the opponent, the ninja can then raise their arm into the air and gather electricity. After performing the needed handseals, the user will wave both arms through the air, leaving Raiton chakra behind in the shape of bow and arrow. The lightning arrow can then be shot at an opponent and stun them from afar. By taking extra time to focus their energy, the arrow can be re-shaped for distance, rather than power.

Note: Stun duration is half a turn.

Ichiren Inazuma (Chain Lightning)

An advanced version of ‘Shooting Thunder,' the Chain of Lightning allows the user to pass strong currents of lightning from victim to victim, up to three, within a thirty meter radius. The user outstretches their hands, so that the energy focusing within is displaced rapidly towards their target. Once they are hit, the victims are paralyzed and helpless, and the bolt then proceeds to jump and hit anyone else within range. Excellent when outnumbered, though one must use it with care, for it takes a great toll on the user’s chakra pool.

Note: Paralysis will last one turn. Each subsequent target beyond the first is paralyzed for half a turn.

The Enlightenment Of Thunder and Lightning (or E.O.T.L) is a martial art that emphasizes proper breath control to proliferate the body's personal electric current by supplementing it with Raiton nature chakra.

Masteries: 

1. The Path to Enlightenment - : "Before discovering the way, one must find the path."

This idiom is a principle foundation of E.O.T.L. and a literal method of training the practitioner must undertake. "The Path" is an umbrella term that refers to a deeper understanding of breath control and the exercises necessary to handle the rigors of utilizing bio-electricity as a weapon. Once a practitioner has "found the path", the maximum amount of breaths (charges) a user can stack is increased by one. They have also learned to move without consequence while using Kokyuu Shirei (Breath Control). Using Shunshin no Jutsu no longer has a negative effect on Breath Control.


2. The Way of Enlightenment - : "To master the way one must empty the heart."

A play on words, mastering the proverbial "Way" hints at the heart being an important component of E.O.T.L. Put simply, constant use of the style's techniques will considerably strengthen the practitioner's heart. Users at this level have empowered their hearts to the point that oxygen is shuttled through their bodies in higher quantities and more efficiently.

The effect: a +1 bonus to the Chakra Control stat and the technique Kokyuu Shirei (Breath Control) can now be used twice, consecutively, in the same turn.

By taking concentrated breaths electric current is stabilized and built in the body toward a focal point in the chest. That current can be sent to other appendages with ease. Once the breath is exhaled the user’s chakra becomes laced within the electric current, regenerating with each breath to be transported to the limb at will and without the need for handseals.

Note: This technique can only be used once per turn, during which the user must remain still. It need not be repeated with each technique, but only when the user's concentrated breaths (or charges) run out. 1 turn encompasses all techniques that require one breath, 2 turns encompasses all techniques that require two breaths, so on and so forth. A maximum of five breaths can be "stacked" at any given point.

Keep in mind that these are literal breaths that are focused and deep. The user may move after taking their breaths, but executing chakra based movements (like Shunshin), attacks, and jutsu will negatively effect the E.O.T.L. user. Performing any of these feats will dock the user of their charges and the amount will correspond with the rank of technique used. D subtracts 1 charge, C subtracts 2, and so forth.

Lastly, when accumulating up to three charges the effects of accumulating electricity become visibly apparent.

Electricity is transmitted to an extremity (hand/foot), crackling fiercely in a vibrant display of power. Each strike sends a jolt of electricity through the victim’s body, causing a shocking effect that paralyzes the targeted region.

Note: Partially paralyzes the victim (one limb) for one turn. Striking the same area multiple times stacks the noted time of affliction.

Requires one breath/charge of Kokyuu Shirei (Breath Control) per limb. One or two charged extremities can be sustained if adequate breathing was done previously.

Originally named "Fist of Reverse Lightning", building up electricity through proper breath control allows the user to push a current into a single appendage. This engulfs an entire limb in crackling lightning that, when striking a surface, forces the electricity into the surrounding area to deliver a paralytic shock.

Note: This technique is summoned as a 10 meter dome with the highest point being the center, where the user is located. Being shocked by the ambient electricity will disorient the opponent, lowering their speed and reflexes by 1 for two turns. If the victim is struck directly they will undergo full paralysis for a single turn. If used on a conductive surface such as metal or water the technique's width doubles, though the user may be susceptible to the technique's effect if they aren't careful.

Requires two breaths/charges of Kokyuu Shirei (Breath Control) per limb (and per turn if sustained). The dome can be sustained if adequate breathing was done previously.

Atamagahen Raikou (Mad Lightning)

After condensing a current into an appendage or extremity, the user will strike out in the direction of their target to cast forth a bolt of electricity at their intended target.

Note: Extends up to five meters away. Mad Lightning's overall effect is determined by the technique that facilitates it (i.e. Mad Lightning does what those technique do from a distance). Thunder Break loses its doming capability when used in conjunction with Mad Lightning.

Kuukuu no Denkou (Void of Lightning)

Void of Lightning works by absorbing lightning into the user's body to be released in a more desirable direction. The technique was developed by a monk who preferred to redirect his opponent's energy rather than oppose it head-on. The person redirecting it must create a pathway from their hand, up the arm to the stomach, and up and out the other arm. The stomach, almost like a roundabout, safely ushers the energy from the body. It is essential that the lightning pass through the stomach, as if the lightning passes through the heart, the effects could be fatal.

Note: Requires two breaths/charges of Kokyuu Shirei (Breath Control) per use. Lightning can be successfully redirected regardless of whether the source is natural or generated. Without masteries the user can redirect C-rank and lower Raition. This limit increases by a single rank with each mastery obtained in E.O.T.L.

Releasing the current in one's body almost completely, bolts of electricity begin running wild over the user's flesh, firing off at anyone within range. Whomever is struck, either by a bolt or from touching the user, is in danger of being not only paralyzed, but also having their chakra flow disrupted.

Note: Paralysis and chakra disruption lasts for one turn, and the bolts have a maximum range of five meters. This state lasts for two turns during which any high speed movement is prohibited, this includes running, jumping, and evasive maneuvers.

This technique also has the added benefit of casting automatically should the user be incapacitated, but this demands that the user possess the necessary amount of charges and chakra.

Requires three breaths/charges of Kokyuu Shirei (Breath Control).

Originally named "Magnetic Force of Lightning Space", it's principally founded on static electricity. As the user inhales they begin to build a positive current on their left hand. Exhaling builds a negative current on the right hand. Both remain invisible until the user's second breath, which will cover the left and right hands respectively in yellow and blue electricity. Both incomplete charges are sent into the victim if they are grappled to render them unconscious.

Note: Must use Kokyuu Shirei (Breath Control) as preparation for two charges before this technique can be used; previously stacked charges will not apply. The number of turns the victim remains unconscious depends on the amount of breaths taken, minus one (which represents the initial breath). This means that the victim will, at least, be unconscious for one turn.

Over exposure to this technique (3 turns) will likely be fatal. Unconsciousness will not take place until the user lets go of their victim, thus a burst of chakra equal to the amount used overall can cancel this technique. Keep in mind you are being shocked.
