Description: An adept warrior and craftsmen, Cid Mareth, has traveled the ninja world seeing many different sights and machinations. His fighting style was based through dual sword and pole arm wielding being able to easily cover both the mid and close range combat. However the biggest flaw in his style was the fact of switching between the two styles for even Iai-jutsu couldn't help with the positioning and movements of the weapons, thus he began working on a new weapon creation which could adapt to both his styles.
Through countless failed experiments could have turned into many fine weapons to become legendary over the shinobi nations but he simply destroyed them for parts and continued towards his goal. Eventually through trial and error Cid created the pinnacle of both weapons. The core of the weapon is a compact-able 1-handed 5 foot broadsword with the two edges made of katana blades with a thin chamber situated along the center of the mass acting as a sheathe for a smaller 2 foot sword such as a gladius which triggered the compaction when it is sheathed and expansion when it is unsheathed. The sheathe also has a second trigger on it then when it is triggered the hilt of the blade moved up the length of the sheathe while an inner chamber pushes out of it extending the length of the shaft to 8 feet long while the blades shift down and expand the hilt thus creating the spearhead. The short sword also holds 30 feet of strong wire inside the handle used for range or Mercury Edge's unique technique

Description: Upon learning the complete use of the Mercury Edge they use the wire within the base of the javelin to quickly throw and reel back the javelin repeatedly piercing through targets and potentially reel them back to the wielder to chain into other combos.
