Flying Parry
Rank: C, C, C, C
Type: Defensive / Specialized Taijutsu / Kendo
Range: Self
Stamina: Mid
Special: A technique in which the user applies their melee countering abilities to a ranged threat. By watching the trajectory in which it approaches and the velocity it travels at, the user deduces the proper form and amount of push to send the object hurling safely away from them. The user's 'Exquisite Counter' rank determines the distance they can possibly deflect, with the 'D' rank starting at 10 meters, and each extra rank adding 10 more. Deflecting moves in a straight line whereever the user aims, and retains the same speed it originally carried on its way to the user. Can deflect up to one (1) object, plus one more each time retrained.
Description: A practiced technique that allows the user to transfer what they know about blocking melee attacks on to deflecting away ranged ones. The tricky part comes with learning how to judge speed and angle but that comes with time. Eventually the user learns how to whip their sword about in a way that stops most things in the air from reaching them.
Domain: The Gentleman's Art, Exquisite Counter "C"
Dulling The Blade
Rank: B
Type: Offensive / Specialized Taijutsu / Kendo
Range: 0-5 Meters
Stamina: High
Special: A quick and forceful attack through one of various tool appendages. Such appendages are the hands, feet and neck. By targeting and striking these areas the user can effectively lower the targets ability to attack, defend and situate himself on the battlefield. The degree of damage they take is directly connected to the users highest known rank of Driving Thrust, plus this jutsu's base rank - i.e. 'D' doing cutting down their effectiveness by 20%, C rank by 40%, and so on. If one strikes the neck it doesn't kill the target it simply makes their ability to turn more difficult. Though this does not automatically guarantee a hit as RP determines everything, it increases the chances of it occurring greatly
Description: The best way to destroy an enemy is to strip them of their tools, that's one the aim of this technique is. By utilizing a quick, accurate and firm thrust into a ninjas appendage, they gain the ability to lower their overall effectiveness. Nothing hurts a ninjutsu master like having his hands pierced and that Taijutsu specialist won't have such a kick in his step when he's got a brand new foot hole.
Domain: The Gentleman's Art, Driving Thrust "B"
Stamina Reduction Mastery 1 for Fencing.
Shunpo (Flashing Light Steps)
Rank: D, D, D, D, D
Type: Supplementary / Taijutsu / High-Speed Movement
Range: 0 - 10 meters
Stamina: Low
Special: Shunpo is a high-speed movement in which the user travels in a linear fashion from one point to another. Usually facilitated with some sort of distraction (smoke bomb, explosion, or something of that nature to obscure one's vision), the user of the Shunpo can, in some cases, appear to have simply teleported from one location to another. The user can Shunpo once per thread, plus once more each time retrained. One cannot attack or perform techniques during Shunpo.
Description: Shunpo, a Taijutsu master's response to the Body Flicker Technique, relies solely on the user's ability to harness their inner ki and gain enough stamina to withstand the sudden strain imposed on one's legs. However, once properly trained, the Taijutsu Type will find their legs moving at speeds unknown to common man, to the point most would make the foolish mistake of assuming one is using Shunshin. However, unlike that chakra inspired run, Shunpo is pure stamina and movement skill, allowing for tighter, quicker, and more reactionary movements essential for someone that relies on movement. Although Shunpo itself moves in a single line, its many variations is what makes it so lethal.
Domain: Shunpo - Universal Taijutsu.
Shunpo-Tweh (Light Step Retreat)
Rank: B
Type: Passive / Taijutsu / High-Speed Movement
Range: Shunpo!
Stamina: --
Special: Gives the user the option to perform a Shunpo backwards.
Description: Although Shunpo is normally executed in a linear fashion, with enough training, the Taijutsu Master can learn to limit their forward travel speed in exchange for a near-instantaneous backwards move. This essentially allows rapid movement to retreat or create distance between user and opponent.
Domain: Shunpo - Universal Taijutsu.
Rank: C, C, C, C
