SPECIAL: Renders the user immune to their own lava’s effects that it inflicts on opponents. The rank of this technique determines how much of their body can be protected.

[/b][/u] The user is capable of walking on and touching their lava, protecting their face, hands, and feet. Since this is similar to walking on water or sticking to walls, this can be carried out indefinitely for as long as they have chakra.

C Rank: The user can walk through their lava and reach into it, protecting their head, arms, and legs. This limited immunity can only be used for a full turn at a time.

B Rank:[/u] The user’s body can make full contact with their lava, however, the duration is limited to a turn and will not support any submersion.

A Rank:[/u] The user’s entire body is immune to the heat and corrosive aspects of their lava, however, any submersion for longer than half a turn will certainly result in death.

S Rank: The user can now submerge themselves in lava for an entire turn. This can be retrained at 'S' Rank to gain an additional turn of submersion, but each time retrained increased the chakra consumption by one tier.[/ul][/blockquote]DESCRIPTION: A difficult to learn yet easy to use technique, users of the Yōton release have developed a way to make themselves immune to the burning and corrosive effects of their own lava. By coating the area of their body in contact with the normally dangerous substance with Yōton aligned chakra, the user repels the magma and the heat it radiates on a microscopic level.

Yōton: Sekkaigyō no Jutsu (Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique)

TYPE: Offensive / Youton Kekkei Touta

SPECIAL: Speed and forced required to break out of the hardened quicklime is equivalent to the user's Fushokuzai rank, while the range is equivalent to 1/5th of the user's Fushokuzai range. Once it makes contact with a surface, the quicklime hardens instantly after a half turn delay. Quicklime is extremely reactive to water, causing a volatile exothermic reaction on contact; simply put, when this technique gets wet, it releases heat capable of causing burning damage to those touching it equal to the user's Fushokuzai rank. The heat from the reaction will persist for ten seconds (two turns), inflicting damage each turn.
DESCRIPTION: Sekkaigyō no jutsu is one of the few jutsu within Yōton’s domain that doesn’t melt it’s target outright. After forming handseals, the user spits a cement-like substance onto the field. The quicklime wave can expand and cover a great amount of volume on the field, adhering to objects and solidfying through chemical reactions within a matter of seconds. However, the constricting property of the quicklime isn't the best effect; if the quicklime is ever to come into contact with a sufficient amount of water, another chemical reaction occurs that is significant to the Youton Element. Due to quicklime being extremely reactive to water, it causes a volatile exothermic reaction immediately on contact, releasing a certain amount of heat that can range from first-degree burns, to third-degree burns, to melting straight through the opponent!

Yōton: Seisekkai Kichou no jutsu (Lava Release: Quicklime Screen Technique)
RANK: B
TYPE: Offensive / Youton Kekkei Touta

SPECIAL: Speed and range of the quicklime cloud is equivalent to the user's Fushokuzai rank. Quicklime is extremely reactive to water, causing a volatile exothermic reaction on contact; simply put, when a large volume of water comes into contact with the cloud, it releases heat capable of causing burning damage to those within it equal to the user's Fushokuzai rank. The heat from the reaction will persist for ten seconds (two turns), inflicting damage each turn.
DESCRIPTION: After forming seals, the users spits a cloud of quicklime from their mouth, capable of covering a great amount of area on the battlefield. The quicklime fills the area at a moderate rate and cause slight irritation of the eyes and throat when inhaled, though the extent of this damage is negligible. However, whether it be a natural source of water or the performing of a Suiton technique that creates a large volume of water passes through the cloud, the quicklime reacts violently, causing the substance to combust, lighting the cloud on fire and causing extensive burning damage that can melt right through a target's skin if caught within the cloud.

Yōton: Nami no Renge no Jutsu (Lava Release: Lotus Wave Shield)

TYPE: Defensive / Youton Kekkei Touta

CHAKRA: Very Low - Very High [initial + upkeep]
SPECIAL: Size of the shield can only protect the user from harm. Causes waves of lava to erupt quickly out of the ground, forming a lotus flower style defensive structure that is capable of blocking an attack based on the highest rank known. The user can maintain the shield's structure as long as they hold the handseal, after which they can harden it into stone or cause it to sink back into the ground.
DESCRIPTION: After forming a single handseal, the user is able to pull waves of lava out of the ground near-instantly, ‘blooming’ in the shape of a lotus flower that completely envelops them without submersion. The lotus flower shield is capable of completely protecting the user from all directions through the use of an extremely dangerous lava barrier, but despite this, only the user can be protected, making the technique quite useless when needing to protect a comrade.

These kick ass, and thank you a thousand times for clarifying that Absolution technique. >>;;

After some consideration, I'm going to say this is all good. The only point of contention I had was the single hand seal on the last technique. Considering that you have to hold it for as long as you want the barrier, though, and it continues to consume chakra from you, I think those disadvantages balance it against barriers that take more seal-time to form, but are more long-lasting and chakra-efficient. Plus, its really well-written, which makes me happy.

Originally it was just a single A rank technique that rendered the user immune. It just cost more chakra to be submerged in lava than to walk on it. Someone made it multi ranked after it was accepted but failed to clarify what each rank would do. Rendering the user immune to that rank of jutsu makes 0 sense, so I remade it to fit the current 'metagame' of multi ranking abilities. Plus, people seem to want to swim around in lava for some reason.
