Description:
The hound is approximately one-hundred and thirty-five pounds and covered with short, smooth fur. The predominant color is dark brown, with shades of lighter brown under its belly, on its neck, and on its paws. It has a short, stubby tail. Its claws and teeth are in good, prime condition. The insignia of Kumogakure can be found engraved on the front side of its protectorate, but is typically covered with a blue bandana that the handler ties around Tolstoy's neck.
Personality:
Tolstoy is an obedient bastard, loyal to the master that the Raikage designates it to. He does not let simple emotions and urges take over his actions, but will always aggressively protect its comrades. The dog does not like to be petted roughly or yanked on the ears, but instead prefers a good scratch under its neck, or a smooth massage down its back. It detests all wild animals it sees, and never approaches a stranger unless directed to by its handler. In a household, Tolstoy becomes very friendly and playful- especially around young children. He does, however, have a tendency to grow restless when cooped up in a house or neighborhood for a long period of time. The dog needs the thrill of combat and missions to stay alert and entertained.
When caught in a situation without its handler, the dog is very cautious and quick to flee. When caught in a life or death situation against someone who has seriously injured or debilitated their handler, the dog attacks the opponent relentlessly and ferociously. With its handler, it never flees. Even if it has to fight for the corpse of its master till its death.

History:
During the time of the Great War, Kumogakure had initiated many projects and tests that they had hoped would turn the tide of the bloodshed to their favor. Among the many premature training courses, experimental inventions and innovative new jutsu, they had also sought to bring a new ally into the battlefield. And while this idea had been used for ages before that time, Kumogakure took the canine companionship to a whole 'nother level with TOLSTOY. Bred for excellence in combat and espionage, the hound had been trained since his days as a puppy to be a ninja dog. Among a troop of seventeen other dogs in the K-9 CLOUD PROGRAM, some which he was related to, Tolstoy had been specifically chosen to fight beside the Raikage of that time and act as a guardian.
Tales of this dog's heroic actions spread across the continent as the war raged on. Each one of them, however, were silenced with the arrival of the Great Flash. It was then that Tolstoy was thought to have died, among the rubble and corpses that shared the battleground with its Raikage master. Believed to be the last one of its kind, a war dog trained for excellency during field operations, the council of Kumogakure were crestfallen to have lost this national treasure. Only recently have reports come in, claiming to have spotted the canine in the wilderness of Kaminari no Kuni. Whether the dog has gone rabid, or is being pursued by those who seek to catch and sell it to the highest bidder, is still unknown.
Requirements:
A game-moderated quest is required to seek out and obtain this creature. Only those with 5000EXP or higher may seek out this animal, as it will only listen to a handler with such power. Without it, the creature is incapable of being tamed for one's own use, as it will only fight back feverishly. Quest has to take place in Kaminari no Kuni to be valid.
Annotation:
Though the dog can perform ninjutsu without the use of seals, chakra costs and time needed to execute said jutsu are still applicable- equal to the time ninja take to form hand seals.

Description: Basic, simple, funny, and insulting - just one of the many adjectives behind the Dynamic Marking technique. When their canine partners release a stream of urine on their target, the clan member can use their excellent sense of smell to locate their target no matter where they are. The urine itself is more dangerous than normal urine, because of its burning and strong sticky qualities. On top of an excellent trackin jutsu, this technique is mainly used as a set up for the Soutourou technique. When the clan member and canine familiar are spinning at such high speeds they are unable to see where they are going, but by using their nose they are able to locate their target with little trouble.

Inuzuka no Jutsu (Dog Sense Technique)

Special: Represents the clan member's acute sense of smell, akin to that of their canine counterparts. While the sense of smell is accute, it's the range that makes it unique. When first learned, the Inuzuka can smell up to 10 meters around them, plus 10 more with each new rank attained. Re-training the 'S' ranked version grants the user 50 more meters each time.
Description: The most basic and essential Inuzuka jutsu, this allows the member to essentially experience superhuman smell like that of a dog at any time. With noses enhanced unlike any other normal human present, clan members use this technique to probe, search and find their targets merely through smell.

Description: The basis behind the majority of Doton techniques lie in the user's ability to control the very earth around them. 'Earth Dominion' is just as its name implies, a fundamental supplementary jutsu of Doton nature that allows the user to intermingle their chakra with that of nature, harmonizing the two in order to create complete control over the earth around them. Once this link is achieved, the door is opened for greater creations to be made.

Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu (Double Suicide Decapitation Technique)

Special: Does not require handseals. User cannot move while underground, but they can detect anyone that walks along the earth above them. Radar radius is circular, and measures equal to the user’s Earth Dominion. User can remain underground for a single turn before needing to resurface; each time retrained, the user can remain underground for one extra turn.
Description: A very basic earth technique, it allows the user to dive underground almost instantaneously so that they remain hidden from view in order to ambush their opponent. As long as the opponent is walking across the earth, they will be aware of their presence, and can wait patiently (without fear of asphyxiation!) until they right time, where they will emerge and latch onto the opponent’s legs. From here, they can easily suck them down, executing a replacement with them so that the opponent is buried underground up to his neck, while the user emerges unharmed above ground.

Description: An upgrade to Dochuu Eigyo, this underground variation grants the user movement AND the ability to attack with jutsu whilst underground. After a few short seals, the user merely sinks below, and can remain there for a small amount of time, allowing them an extremely strategic position, as well as the ability to laid explosives along the ground for the opponent to ‘enjoy’.

Description: The distance relative in the family of underground jutsu, this now allows the user to travel across countries whilst underground, moving at quick paces through the earth as if they were sprinting on land. This jutsu was designed mainly for quick and stealthy travel, as this medium cuts random encounters out completely. The radar function is not present anymore, mainly due to this not being meant for combat, so the user must exercise care before commencing their Submarine Voyage.

Description: A very basic and essential Doton ninjutsu, the user performs a single handseal, and with a bit of chakra, creates a rectangular like opening underground. This indentation resembles a coffin, and is used for just that – burying secrets, human or inanimate, that one does not wish others to find. Coffins established can always be visited at a later time, and can only be activated by the user that made them. If someone is using a form of underground travel, they cannot see the contents within or the box for that matter, and should they travel on its same path, will run into what seems to be an underground block of steel.

Description: Although not a conventional technique, it becomes useful whenever the user is battling within the vicinity of a mountain. As long as the user is physically in contact with the upper part of the mountain, they can instigate dreadful avalanches meant to affect those below. Not only is the rock natural, but with a bit of one’s own chakra, the boulders the roll down can grow in size!

Chuusijin no Jutsu (Stomping Monkey’s Quake Technique)

Quake lasts the entire turn, and can be used once per thread, plus one more each time retrained.
Description: As its name implies, this basic yet efficient technique results in the wielder forming a few simple handseals and then stomping and pounding the ground wildly, their limbs coated in a special chakra. As they pound away, the earthquake consumes the area, disrupting balance and speed. Very good for when faced with waves of opponents, or for taking down weakened edifices.

Description: Doro Gaeshi is a defensive Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Doton affinity. After striking the ground with their hands, a large wall of earth will rise into place as defense.
