• Unless well-known, first impressions would lead one to believe Kou is careless. Quite the opposite, however. He's highly observant and for better or worse, judgmental. Yet, rarely does he care to share his insight. The youth, for the most part, goes by the saying 'don't speak unless spoken too.' As such, many times he comes off as detached from society, making it a bit of a challenge for him to make friends. The only time he's been known to be friendly (although brutally honest as well), is when engaging in his favorite pastime - drinking. Sake is the preferred choice in that case. Other than that, he doesn't smoke cigarettes, or do anything he feels is a waste of time. Perhaps Kou also fits the trait of self-centered, but he is stubborn for sure. What grinds his gears most is when his sister tells him, "The world does not revolve because of you." The one word that would sum his personality up is nonchalant.

He knows full well that the world isn't fair and that generally speaking, people don't give a damn about you.

• Rather simple, actually. Stylish, without trying too hard, Kou dresses himself in a plain, long-sleeved black shirt. A protective mesh is worn underneath that. He keeps his Kumogakure emblem hidden snug within a pouch unless otherwise stated. On colder days, a thin scarf is usually found around the youth's neck, depending on the weather (which is often called for in Kaminari); its colors vary from day to day, oftentimes going off of his mood. Finally, strapped vertically to his spine is a black, hiltless tanto. The handle itself is rounded, and the edge is used mostly for defense, if anything.

The damage is light and the bolts shoot off in a relatively straight line, at rapid speeds.

  Description: An advanced version of ‘Shooting Thunder,' the Chain of Lightning allows the user to pass strong currents of lightning from victim to victim within a thirty meter radius. The user outstretches their hands, so that the energy focusing within is displaced rapidly towards their target. Once they are hit, the victims are paralyzed and helpless, and the bolt then proceeds to jump and hit anyone else within range. Excellent when outnumbered, though one must use it with care, for it takes a great toll on the user’s chakra pool.

  Sutangan no Jutsu (Limb Stunning Technique) [x2]

Due to the amount of shock suffered by the user's limb during the transference of energy, this can only be used once per thread, plus one more each time retrained for a total of five posts. The user must touch the victim with their hand to achieve the desired effects.
  Description: The electric influence that exists over the human body and its muscles allows one to control the later through unconventional methods, including through the means of chakra. After charging a small electric shock in the user’s hands, one can approach their victim and place the charged hand onto a limb or muscle on their body, unleashing the pent up shock and rendering the aforementioned target useless for the rest of the turn. Although simple, it’s highly effective when the user is faster than the victim, and can outmaneuver them as they strike. Also highly effective for keeping captives in place!

While protected by the lightning armor, the user is free to move and act as they wish, but no other jutsu other than Raiton techniques can be made until the lightning is either cancelled or destroyed. Armor glows a faint, transparent glow. Each time retrained, extra 'B' ranked shocking damage is added onto the shield. However, after every third retraining, the consumption will go up by one. Can be learned a maximum of 4 times.
  Description: A defensive technique, the Yoroi technique is as its name implies – a set of lightning based armor, which shocks anything that comes in contact with it. After a series of handseals, lightning from the sky showers upon the user, coating them in a bright blue coating. As they glow, all forms of conductors will make victim’s more susceptible to damage, and any taijutsu upon the armor will leave the user’s appendages feeling paralyzed. Excellent when outnumbered, or simply facing an opponent that favors taijutsu.

  Description: The user deeply inhales upon molding the necessary raiton chakra and exhales several large arcs of lightning at different angles, by rapidly moving their head in various directions. Each arc is released in the one breath exhaled and move very fast. The blades of lightning are extremely thin, five meters total in length, and each sharp enough to cut through limbs, boulders, or trees.

  Special: This clone is considered to be the second strongest next to the Kage Bunshin. Due to being comprised purely of raiton chakra, upon being destroyed, it completely paralyzes the enemy for two full posts (presuming they destroyed the clone via contact). Likewise, this clone can perform all a-rank raiton jutsu and below that the user knows.
  Description: With this technique, the Raiton user is able to call upon aid from a perfect copy of themselves. Comprised purely of lightning, this clone retains the user's movement speed and strength. While easily capable of being use for offensive means, the Raiton Bunshin also makes for an equally solid defense due to its ability to harness Raiton-based techniques.

  Karasuhebi no Jutsu (Thunder Style – Shocking Snake Technique)

  Description: Through their talents in the Raiton release, the user is allowed to use their chakra to manifest a snake that will do their bidding. This snake is made comprised of pure lightning, and has advanced intellect of its own. It can communicate with the user mentally and follow orders well. This snake is useful for quick gashing and shocking attacks, and if one can manage to coil around the user, the equivalent of a strong 'B' ranked worth shock courses through their body whole, constricting and shocking.

  Special: Allows the caster to send a wave of high voltage chakra with the caster in the center, which shocks and paralyzes all those caught, friend or foe alike, as long as the user holds the handseal. Range of pulse depends on the user's highest 'Karai Shin' range, halved. The longer someone is held within the pulse range remains without escaping, the more damage their body suffers, until they can take no more. The minute the user moves, the pulse ends.
  Description: As its name implies, the ‘Static Pulse’ allows the user to deliver several quick pulses of shocking Raiton chakra, intended to latch onto any living chakra networks, invade them, and shock away until nothing is left. This is allowed because the caster coats the region of the technique, thirty meters, in a thin layer of his refined Raiton chakra. It spreads perfectly along the ground at fast speeds unless one has special eyes to pierce through such movement. Although brief, several can be shot at once, repeatedly, keeping the enemy at bay in a last minute ditch effort. Excellent when outnumbered.

  Special: Summons a huge lightning serpent to destroy an area. Serpent size is determined by the user's highest 'Karain Shin' rank, halved, and can be proportioned to the user's wish. Serpent lasts until destroyed, and can withstand up to one 'S' ranked strike; each time retrained, an additional serpent may be called forth for a maximum of three. Each retrain stacks one High consumption. When destroyed, serpent explodes in a brilliant blinding flash and many small yet strong thunder bolts that shooting randomly, affecting ALL except the user with a range equivalent to the serpent's total size.
  Description: This technique brings both onto the battlefield an awesomely large serpent like entity comprised of pure lightning. This colossal creature moves fast and can climb onto all forms of surfaces. The trick is that it is comprised of Raiton energy, so it doesn’t actually slither – it hovers ever so softly over anything it chooses to cross, temporarily changing the surface’s charge in order for it to be compatible with the beast. However, as large as it is, it’s rather dumb, and follows only the most basic of the user’s mental commands. Summon only at appropriate times!

  Special: Produces unique chakra cutting damage that bypases physical barriers such as skin, clothing or armor and cuts within the body. Highest rank known establishes the lethality of the scalpel, as well as the opportunity for internal damage and bleeding if it strikes; internal damage, if successful, leads to ranked damage per turn until treated, with the damage rank being whatever 'Chakra Scalpel' level was used against the victim.
  D: Slices the inside with a shallow cut, resulting in no internal bleeding. Muscles cut with this rank will only suffer a slight reduction in mobility.
  C: Cuts with this rank will cause minimal internal bleeding and will limit mobility by 25%
  B: Damage inflicted with B rank chakra scalpel is enough to damage internal organ and slice muscles for a 50% reduction in functionality.
  A: The A ranked version of this technique can cause fatal organ failure after 5 turns of affliction and can disable muscles to a degree of 75% loss of strength, speed, and range of motion.
  S: Slices with an S ranked chakra scalpel can instantly shared a muscle, disabling all motion associated with it. This rank can inflict fatal organ damage, bleeding out within 2 turns if not treated. The scalpel is so sharp at this rank it can cut through nerve fibers if the medic chooses to aim for them.
  Description: Chakra no Mesu is a special Ninjutsu technique used by medical ninjas. After forming the needed handseals, the medic will focus chakra to their hands, creating a distinct, colored hue of chakra. When their charged hands reach the body of their target, they can extend the chakra internally into the targets body to cut and neatly slice their muscles and blood vessels without harming the surface skin. This technique can be used in battle, but because of its hectic nature, the fine precision required for an instant kill is not feasible. Damage can still be done to the vital organs, but the technique should be used carefully in battle. Developed for surgery, it has since taken a unique aspect in battle.

  Special: Allows the user to open a link of chakra transference between the user and the patient so that the user may send chakra to the patient. Amount of chakra used is the same as the amount given.
  Description: Chakra Exhaustion is a dangerous thing for shinobi to have to face. Medical Ninja developed a way to fix that problem. By touching the center of the patient's chest with both hands, the user is capable of sending chakra directly into the patient's chakra circulatory system, allowing the system to process the chakra and receive it as if the chakra were the person's own. While the user maintains their touch on the patient's body, the amount of chakra per turn may be sent to the patient up to the rank this technique is trained.

  Sosei no Jutsu (Resuscitation Technique)

  Special: Uses chakra to cause the target's heart to beat, regardless of the living condition of the body. Can be used once per thread, plus once more for each time retrained.
  Description: A tricky Medical Ninjutsu that has, nonetheless, saved many lives, Sosei no Jutsu works by channeling chakra directly to the heart of the patient, causing it to beat. This chakra disregards numbing effects, since the chakra causes the heart to beat against its' own will. Aside from that, when a person dies, their brain stays active from one to ten minutes before perishing. If the heart can be restarted, then the patient can be saved. With a two-person medical team, one Ninja may perform this technique while the other focuses upon treating the symptoms of death. If worked correctly, a patient who would otherwise be dead may be saved and, potentially, be brought back to life. If the brain has already ceased activity, then this technique will not work.

  Shikon no Jutsu (Dead Soul Technique)

  Special: Requires a dead body. Once the dead person extends more than fifty meters away from the user, it crumples into place as if nothing happened. Remains in use until defeated or if forced out of range. These bodies can perform any jutsu of a-rank and lower that they knew if life. May only be used on 1 body at a time, plus an additional 1 for each time retrained.
  Description: Shikon no Jutsu is an advanced Medical Ninjutsu technique that uses a dead body to create the illusion of another living person. The medic can either animate a normal dead person, or alter the appearance of the dead person to resemble another. To do the second version, the ninja first changes the appearance of the dead body to resemble the person to be portrayed. Then using this jutsu they make the heart beat again, allowing them to control the actions of the dead body.

  Description: Ranshinshou is an advanced Medical Ninjutsu technique that allows for the severe disruption of the medic's victims. Changing the chakra in their hand into an odd electric-like pulse, the medic successfully mimics and creates an electric field to disrupt their targets nervous system. Because the brain and body communicate using electrical impulses, the medic uses the field to disrupt their targets ability to move. What results is commands to move one body part being relayed to another, making it near impossible for them to move.

  Special: Shunshin no Jutsu is a high-speed movement in which the user moves in a linear fashion from one point to another. Usually facilitated with some sort of distraction (smoke bomb, explosion, or something of that nature to obscure one's vision), the user of the Shunshin no Jutsu can, in some cases, appear to have simply teleported from one location to another. Shunshin no Jutsu can be used once per thread, plus once more each time it is retrained.
  Description: Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered is a high-speed movement technique, it simple combines high mobility with a distraction to give off the appearance of vanishing - to an observer caught in the optical illusion, it appears as if the user has teleported. This allows the user to escape or attack suddenly, should they need to.

  Special: Gives the user the option to side-step, curve, shimmy or even shimmer on a whim during a Shunshin, rather than remaining moving forward. Sidestep distance takes away from the Shunshin's total traveling distance.
  Description: Although Shunshin is normally executed in a linear fashion, with enough training, the ninja can learn to limit their forward travel speed in exchange for a near-instantaneous sideways move. Useful when evading tricky attacks, or when wishing to confuse opponents.

Its usefulness is limitless, and carry the same rules as the parent technique.

  Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Replacement Technique)

  Special: Switch is near-instantaneous. Kawarimi can only be used once per thread, plus one more each time retrained. However, the technique itself can only be used once per turn, regardless of retraining. Requires the user to switch with objects equal or smaller in size; cannot switch with other living people or animals.
  Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, the moment an attack hits. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. The user can then use this confusion to escape or launch a counter-attack - i.e. exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise.

  Description: Henge no Jutsu is a very basic ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at their respective village's Shinobi Academy. Henge allows the user to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.

  Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique)

  Special: Allows the user to create a clone without substance that resembles the user in every way, including retaining its movement speed. Clones cannot mold chakra nor perform jutsu, nor can they harm. Up to one clone can be made, plus one more each time retrained.
  Description: Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance that, although easily seen through by those with doujutsu, can fool the normal eye easily. Why? Simply because although without substance, the copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent, though no real damage can be done by it. Finally, as soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse.
