Going on and on about the attack he masterminded on Kami no Shima, he felt the soft touch of the woman's hands as she gently seized his chin and forced him to look up at her. Subsequently, her hand slide up to his cheek, and just as it did his eyes closed reflexively as a mental image of his sister burned deep into the forefronts of his mind.

“Masuyo. That’s in your past now, right? Granted…that’s a big ordeal and something you can never take back. All those lives were lost, people dead. Fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, friends…someone lost someone that day. You’ll have to carry that—“

Once spoken, his eyes opened as his expression of momentary bliss swapped presence with one of deep sadness. The women, children, fathers, and daughters, all lost and buried beneath the rubble and ruin that Masuyo left behind in his wake. Everyday, the thought rushes into the frameworks of his mind and every time it did he wished there had been someway or something he could've done to prevent it from happening or change the past entirely. Unfortunately, that particular desire existed only as a mere fantasy, a goal that would never blossom into reality.

She spoke yet again and brought Masuyo's mind back over the threshold and into the real world where he himself continued to explain his story.

"It all started back home, in Amegakure, when my sister went missing. Soon after my home was destroyed and my family, the Kekkai family, were forced to separate and as a result, scattered throughout the world - hidden and unseen.

Fleeing myself, I wound up traveling across many lands in search of power, for revenge, and thats when I met him, Kouketsu uchiha.

The same man that destroyed all of Bakudon Gai granted me the very power I used to destroy Kami no Shima. "

Pausing momentarily, his upper body separated from the ground as he sat once the pain -for the most part- subsided.

The moment that Masuyo mentioned his sister disappearing her heart skipped a beat. Despite her hate for her clan, her sister was the only one she could tolerate solely for the fact she saved her from a life of imprisonment. Even though she would sacrifice her own sister, she couldn't imagine it happening by anyone else's hands but her own. So in a twisted sense, she could understand Masuyo's suffering.

It was then that he let slip as to where he was from; Amegakure no Sato. That village had been destroyed a long time ago. The ninja and civilians that once dwelled there either dead or scattered in the wind to hide amongst the people of other countries. Either that or roaming like Masuyo and his younger companion. It was a sad fate, but like Kusagakure and Takigakure, perhaps one day Amegakure would come back.

Then maybe you will finally have a home to return to...

Revenge was a tale she knew more about than what she let on. Her entire life had been a struggle for revenge. She felt so close to Masuyo right now that she wanted to help him ease the pain. However that all faded as quick as it came the moment that he mentioned his name. Kohana seethed at the mention of that man, Uchiha Kouketsu.

She eyed him as he sat up, and as he did she scooted back a little. "You trusted that man?! No wonder things ended the way they did Masuyo. Anything that man does or 'helps' with only causes harm to others. Did you forget what he's done?" Kohana paused, a clear irritation written across her face. "He brought a METEOR down, Masuyo. He not only destroyed Bakudon Gai but demolished Konohagakure as well."

Kohana had sympathy for Masuyo, she really did, but the fact that Kouketsu was involved was almost enough for her to not pity him. It was his own fault that such power went to his head, that he destroyed half of the Kaminari capital, and that so many people lost their lives. However, the thing that made him different from Kouketsu was that he showed remorse from his actions. He didn't keep going with the destruction.

"Masuyo...find your family. You said they were scattered right? Find them and take them home. Revive Amegakure and live your lives for those you killed. Make the village busy and populated for those you killed. But most importantly, be grateful that you are alive to live for them. The biggest disgrace you could do now is die without leaving a legacy for them."

"You trusted that man?! No wonder things ended the way they did Masuyo. Anything that man does or 'helps' with only causes harm to others. Did you forget what he's done? He brought a METEOR down, Masuyo. He not only destroyed Bakudon Gai but demolished Konohagakure as well."

"I had no idea he destroyed Konoha as well and I only learned of Bakudon gai just a couple of days ago. I guess you could say I'd been living under a rock for the better part of decade.

Instead of keeping up with regular happenings, I spent years looking for power and just trying to survive. But, by the time i met kouketsu I had only been a kid. I fought him actually, lost severely, however, he still gave me what I needed. "

Once spoken, Masuyo lifted himself up off of the ground and onto both feet, momentarily standing above Kohana. Surprisingly, all signs of pain that showed through his face and body vanished, leaving Masuyo feeling alive and rejuvenated as he once did. Deep breaths were taken to relish in the scents of nature in tandem with swiping and patting away at the minuscule particles of dirt that managed to accumulate on his clothing.

"Masuyo...find your family. You said they were scattered right? Find them and take them home. Revive Amegakure and live your lives for those you killed. Make the village busy and populated for those you killed. But most importantly, be grateful that you are alive to live for them. The biggest disgrace you could do now is die without leaving a legacy for them."

He smiled at her words, chuckled even, but even so, he undoubtedly appreciated her advice and concern.

I plan to do all of those things, however, there are a few things and items of must find before I continue. But until then, Kohana, I'll remember your words.

Peacefully, the Sennin had bade his farewell before walking away, headed towards Mizu no kuni.

Kohana stood moments after Masuyo had done so, smiling the entire time. She was happy that she was able to help heal him a little and offer her words of advice. Hopefully, as he said, her words would stay with him in his travels. His story of redemption was only just beginning and she wished him the best of luck. Only thing left was for her to complete her own journey.

Waving goodbye to bother the Sennin and his younger companion, Kohana turned on her heel. Briefly she gazed at the destruction she had caused in the form of various craters. She would use that power to her advantage soon...

For now, she had to head back to Konohagakure.
