Entry # 1: Taking Flight
He was home.
The Village of Konohagakure was one of such opulence, such grace, and more importantly, a paradise ripe with opportunities. Like the annals of the brain which could house infinite amounts of information when mastered; The Hidden Leaf Village, once explored and truly digested by the mind and body could convey endless quantities of experience, companionship, and adventures. A Traveler’s delight, a Customer’s bazaar, and more prominently, a Shinobi’s safe haven to those who wore proudly, the insignia of the Village. A birthright to few, and a lifestyle to all who dedicated their existence to the Kunai and Shinobi Arts, the path of those who hid in the shadows was difficult. As such, growth was expected—typically development in the field of combat and observation.
Uchiha Ryūsuke—a child in the eyes of his superior, yet his being held more than meets the eye. A shelter of raw, untouched potential just waiting to blossom, and bud into something truly ephemeral if left untrained. Though not a genius or prodigy which was archetypal for the boy’s Elite Clan, the crimson-haired was a committed worker, and earned his right. He walked among the average, and typical, only to gain the title of marvelous through the work he put. One’s own significance and affluence was directly proportional to the time and dedication he or she placed into their craft. Like a Painter, Ryūsuke was thorough, and inventive. Akin to a Knight, he was vigilant and honorable. And like a Ninja, he stuck swift, and imposes his might to win the battle.
As such, it wasn’t far-fetched for the location to be befitting for training. The neighboring forest that resided just outside the village posed ample room, and a tough terrain, ideal for what the Uchiha planned. Training his Ninjutsu was his foremost concern. The area which he excelled shouldn’t be dampened due to indolence in its use. His Sharingan wouldn’t be needed for this experience. Only his frame, his reserves of Chakra, and lasting reflexive talents for an objective he would place upon himself demanded some elusive measures. Or else death was ensured. A perilous task seeing as it could possibly rivet death. Nevertheless, like a Casino bet, the higher you risked, the more the reward you’d receive. Same simplistic logic applied.
Exercise Stipulation: Ryūsuke while challenging, must defeat his Katon Bunshin within three minutes.
He found a clearing in the vast forest, which would mark the institution of his training. Placing his hands together, and without indecision, the Uchiha weaved a short string of Kata. His chakra building within his body, only to be exerted, and soon a large cloud of densely thick smoke erupted from nothingness. Ryūsuke from there immediately took to a more defensive stance. Without his Hook Blades, and relying solely on his own Ninjutsu and close quarters combat, the authentic Shinobi would attempt to compete against the being that would soon emerge from the cloud in front of him. Tension rising, and anticipation burning calmly, Ryūsuke, for the most part was ready. All he did now was waiting.
His eyes widened.
Darting from the cloud as the smoke dissipated and fragmented, an identical facsimile of himself swiftly sprinted towards the original. Strands of scarlet dancing in his wake as the Clone rocketed forward, and soon leaped. Ryūsuke however had already caught wind, and was prepared to counter when most opportune. Though his eyes reflected that of violet, the Sharingan wasn’t needed, nor did he find the need to depend on it now. He could see clearly, his veracity before him wasn’t an illusion. Tightening his stance as his legs slid apart, his harden his fist, and prepared for impact.
The Clone crashed down, only meeting the ground with a swift punch that rattled the gravel beneath as the Uchiha skidded back. Feet sliding across the ground, subsequent two leaps and a flip, Ryūsuke flanked to his side, darting to the left as his Clone immediately followed. He was taking the bait. Directing his attention ahead now, realizing his opposition fell for the possum ploy, he would motion into the woodland, jumping into a nearby tree, as he perched on a branch momentarily. The moment the clone took his own impressive bound, the real Uchiha smiled, soon pushing off the limb he occupied and ran from branch to branch as he maneuvered from the high grounds of the forest.
The chase followed as Uchiha followed Uchiha. Ryūsuke successfully eluding his cloned counterpart as he competently danced through the trees, averting death at every corner. Nonetheless, its destruction wouldn’t come with simple ploys and fraudulent methods. To not directly touch the clone was wise, or else he’ burn in the explosion for sure. Thus, the environment posed the greatest ally at the moment and as such, Ryūsuke looked back, only to see nothing; perplexed he was. “ARRGH!” He sounded, soon finding himself plummeting towards the ground following a strong kick to his face from above. The aggressor being his Clone. Luckily, he hadn’t detonated. Nonetheless, before he fell, the Uchiha quickly snapped the branch he once occupied and held it tightly in his grasp.
Regaining orientation promptly, the Uchiha’s eyes found now meaning for widening as he looked upon his clone falling directing ahead of him, attempting to drive his foot into his chest as he plunged towards the ground. Quickly, he spun, decreasing the momentum of his drop, and allowing his clone to catch up. With the large branch in his grasp, the Uchiha turned to face his mid-air foe that pulsated spring colors. He was beginning to self detonate. Forced into a position that involved impulse, the Shinobi flung the branch at his foe, and before the end left his reach, he rotated, allowing the bottom of his feet to face the blunt of the stick and he pushed off, distancing himself weakly.Bang!!!!!
A large, wild explosion flared in the area ranging five meters, catching Ryūsuke on the border of its radius. Streaks of oranges and light colors challenged the skies as a bright flashed ensued; the Uchiha being forced away due to the consequent convulsion that discharged. Placing his arms in front of his face in a cross guard, the Shinobi attempted to deflect most of the force and flares from scarring his body as he was kicked to the ground, stumbling and rolling mildly until he came to an abrupt stop. The Explosion soon ended afterwards. The sky soon thinning in exchange for silence.
“T-that was something else…” Ryūsuke weakly allowed the statement to escape his lips as he rested face down in the scorched grass. Hands sliding over the emerald blades and clenching, bending them pasture beneath as he forced himself to his feet. Sighing contently, inhaling polluted air, the Uchiha smiled. The Clone was gone. Could this be counted as a win?
