Death with a parting treasure!

Blood trickled down to the green land below as the wounded girl made her way to the outskirts of the village gate. Her entire left side from her arm to sternum was completely gone, a hollow carcass reaming. She was walking on borrow time as the agonizing gasp of air escaped her raspy voice.

"I-I must make it...."

Speaking she coughed up blood, falling to her knees several times, she'd get back up that will of fire burned with great intensity. She had a nomination for Hokage, but she wouldn't be able to realize that goal, but at the very least she could entrust her gifts, he rtreasures to a man who could allow Konoha to thrive.

'Finally....'

She emerged from the thick of the forest, the sun over her dead body she collapsed in front of the giant gates of the Leaf Village. Upon the ground blood violently poured forth staining the earth beneath her. The guards came down immediately, and all went black.

Several minutes later she awoke barely clinging to life within the Konoha Hospital. "Your gonna be just fine, dont wo-"

"Please... please bring me Kaname."

"Your seriously injured, please wait unti-"

"I'm fffinished... please.."

The attending physician left an came back a moment later. "Hang in there he's on his way"

How long could she hold out for? The light, it was fading from her vision. So this is what death was like?

He had been arranging papers within his new office, finally he had arrived in power within Konohagakure no Sato. However, bad news would reach him, a female would enter his room, a physician. She spoke in a rushed and hurried tone.

"Sir We need you within the hospital!"

The physician spoke and quickly hurried back, shocked by the abrupt interruption, Kaname quickly dropped his paper, making a rather wide mess of his recently cleaned room. The council certainly wouldn't be pleased with his organisation but Kaname could take a hint, something was going wrong and as the leader of this village, it would be his duty to resolve such a wrongful error. He quickly jogged behind the physician until they would have reached the hospital.

His eyes widened at the sight before him, his ally, friend, Leika of the Uchiha clan lied on the bed, bloodied, he could hardly recognize her. What had happened, perhaps sending her on that difficult mission solely had been too brash of him, he had possibly lost one of the best ninjas within his village. He slowly walked closer and closer to him, nothing could be worse for this already broken village.

"W-w-what happened?"

"K-kaname I failed..."

The almost lifeless word crawled from off her lips. She reached her only arm over with her last bit of strength, her hands touching his fro a brief moment.

"I'm nnnot going to make it eh..."

Leika half laughed at as she coughed up more blood. Her time was short, and she couldn't linger, she couldn't wait any longer...

"It may not be much, but please...take my eyes. They show you the path to K-Konoha's future...." More blood trickled down her lips as blood fell upon her bandages. She squeezed his hand with her last remaining life force, for that moment the will of fire could almost be seen vividly, viscerally...

"Take them...Kaname."

He lowered and allowed his hands to touch his hair. She spoke and her next few words broke his heart. His fears had been fulfilled, she would be leaving, dieing. This was a hard blow to not only the village but himself, morale was already low but it was going even lower with her death. She laughed, a weak laugh, a laugh that resulted in the loss of more blood.

"Your eyes..."

Truly, she'd put such power in his hands. She truly cared for this village if she was willing to give away such uncontrollable abilities, but could he really reject such a thing. No, it wasn't a choice, he had to accept it, war was upon them, the Feudal Lord was against them and if he intended on fending them off, such a great power could truly help them. Her last few words were simple, an order to take her abilities.

"I won't let you down!"

Likely the last words she'd hear, so young, yet so strong. A tear trickled down his cheek, he had lost a great friend in her death. Waiting until the physician checked to see if she had taken her last breath before he spoke up in a broken tone.

"Get ready to prepare the surgery. Konoha will not lose from this death, no... it shall only prosper, it shall only get stronger!"
