The blades of vengeances have fallen swiftly. The shinobi are no more as 'Absolute Justice' has returned...now, it is the Samurai that rule the Five Major Nations!
But at what cost? Have they become the very thing that they despised the most...? Heroes and villains seem to change roles every day, but one thing is for certain - we yearn for our freedom, for days gone by where we flew the skies unhindered.
"a crimson thread ties our bonds together, intermingling our small existences so that we become something bigger... something more. Ferrying lost souls, it guides us to our destinies; however it is not set in stone. Determination and a unwavering heart can cut that string. Changing ones destiny is not a dream, but a possibility... "
The Hokage had wanted ROOT to assemble so I instantly dropped any plans I had for the day and began making my way towards the designated location. While I swiftly moved through the crowds of people, thoughts of why my services were needed. It didn't take long and my arrival was heralded by a silent gust of wind, black, silky hair gliding in the wind across the ebony masked that was fitted upon my face. Kneeling before my lordship, head held low and arm upon my knee I introduced myself. More than anything I was willing and able to do anything he asked of me.
"Sabishime: Uchiha Unmei... reporting!"
Voice muffled through the blank mask my eyes noticed the other who's name I'd barely caught upon getting to the meet up location. I'd never seen the other ROOT operatives and to be honest I was more than interested in who else the Hokage had selected to be apart of this group. I wore a rusted color robe, body covered completely as I kept my position. I didn't move, just watched and listened intently, awaiting his words and of the possible mission to come. He, was the reason I existed, my lord who I served without hesitation. As his foot solider I was at his disposal.
Mumbling the alias under my breath, I felt as if a new identity-a mask had been placed over myself. It was different... as if my entire being was being re-created into something entirely different. It was exciting. Taking the communication device in my hands, my eyes scanned over it with little interest. I, instead was sure to have kept a watchful gaze over the Hokage, so that I could learnt eh essentials. Making mental reminders over the more noteworthy things he said, I went through them in my head as he continued.
Channel 0 was the only one I'd be using for now to pass along important, key information. It was the secure line and therefore the highest on my priority to utilize. The mission given to me was simple, yet complex. I was to investigate any missing persons as well as those under suspicions of going nuke. I'd also have to keep an eye on other nations trouble makers. It was a dangerous task, but if it was what I was to be assigned I'd complete it to the utmost of my abilities.
Designated to Tanzaku Gai, I'd be sure to keep it under an watchful eye. I was known as the hawks eye of Konoha. Nothing escaped my arrow. Grabbing the mask I'd examine it for but a brief moment. Taking it and putting the black veil in my own satchel I'd look at the Hokage once more before I would go on my way. "Understood Moesashi." Turning around, I'd make my way back to my home to prepare a few items for my trip so that I'd be more than be prepared for my surveillance duty as ROOT. I would be the shadow looming behind all those who were my targets....
Rays of scattering orange speckled my back, heralding the glorious sun's rise to radiance. I could see it reflect from his black eyes that gazed at me with inclusiveness. In turn, my own gaze ran over his entire body, measuring the Hokage from head to toe in a subtle fashion. Instead of interrupting Moesashi i nodded in response, allowing him to continue. Like a river his words flowed together meeting at a single point. That point was that he was interested in shaping me, molding my skills so that I could be a proficient tool to be utilized. To be honest such a role didn't disgust me. In truth welcomed it.
"I'd be honored to participate in such a cause. If you'll have me Moesashi I'll follow you."
I blinked slow.
This was my chance to do something great, to show that i wasn't some Uchiha girl who was too weak to wield the eyes of the clan I belonged to. Even without it. Even without the genius talent Ashura possessed. I too had my golden points, things only I could accomplish. He had chosen me of all the others, that in itself was the fruition of my hard work and dedicated ethic. Things were starting to fall into place, the red string of fate that I was named after bonded me and the Hokage, our destinies now intertwined, I looked forward to the path we'd pave not as one, but two.
It was early, but I was already awake. Watching the amber sun rise from my window as I threw on my shirt there was a light knocking at my door. Strolling through the hall I peaked through the peep hole before opening it. There was a man I'd seen before around the Hokage manor, assuming it was of importance I readied myself for whatever he may have said or asked.
"Can I help you?"
Responding to him, I was all ears, eagerly awaiting him to inform me of why I had the pleasure of him visiting me on this morning. He cleared his throat before speaking in a deep voice. "The Hokage has reviewed your profile and is considering you for the ROOT program. He wishes to see you immediately and awaits your arrival at the Kage Memorial."
"Thank you, tell him i'm on my way!"
Replying to the message he was instructed to send, I quickly turned around to finish packing my gear so that i could meet with the esteemed leader of my village. "Congratulations by the way. ROOT is a honor not most realize." In reply to his kind words I'd simply nod and he'd vanish from sight, and a few moments later I would do the same. Out my window and onto the streets of konoha I ran.
Masked by the sound of ringing bells and guised by a blur, I'd appear before the hokage, my posture perfect within his presence. My black eyes looked at the man who was apart of the same clan I was, he was someone who was influential, someone important. I yearned for his status, but I wasn't here today to gawk at him. It was to hear him out about a special sect I wanted to join.

No. Its just the one type of poison though that is a good idea I may utilize in the future. As for the taser I fixed it to say that it causes paralysis in a general area, meaning if i hit an arm they can't move it an so forth.
The sun had just risen from behind the great Kage monument, its rays gently blanketed my room from the open window. Groggily I sat up, the timer cooing softly into my ears had awakened me to the new day. It was 6 am, an my morning regime would began once I fully got up, clothed myself, and finished any other morning peculiars. There was only one way for someone like myself to stay even within hindsight of my genius brother Ashura and that was practice; though these days it seemed he was becoming too fast for me to follow. Tying my hair back, leftover pork bun clenched between my teeth I bolted through my door and into the busy streets of Konoha whilst struggling to wrap my bow around my head. I made sure to pack dummy arrows cause I was sure others would be in the practice field attempt's to better themselves and I was always up for some real time practice.
"'Scuse me, coming through!"
Mumbling to the random passerby's I bobbed an weaved through them, narrowly avoiding one after another until I cut into the alley, twirling, I almost choked on my remaining pork bun. Gulping and pressing my fist into my gut, I forced it down before turning out into the open, a giant building in front of me caused my feet to halt in place. It was a large practice facility constricted for any registered shinobi's use. Its where I roughly spent most of my morning and it was well worth it. Walking into it, I nodded to the receptionsit before passing through the double doors that lead to an extremely wide open space.
There was no ceiling in this room, which allowed the sun to pour into its confine. This was the outdoor section, which mimicked a small scale field. Rocks, trees, it had everything one would need, and the fact that it covered an impressive 200 by 200 area made it an ideal place to train. As usual no one was around, which wasn't a surprise seeing as I usually always was by myself until later into the day. Exhaling I stretched lightly, leaning over so that my hands could touch me feet, hair spilled over onto my face, until the tension became too much an I propped myself back up into a normal posture. With my quiver holstered horizontally behind my lower back I could easily nock arrows. I had twenty mock arrows on me so maybe some distance training I mused to myself as I did a set of squats. Raising my hands over head I looked up into the sky.
The template I made is free to everyone to use, colors, designs, ect can be chnaged to your hearts contnet if you have the ability/ know-how to do so. My red, blistered, fingers tugged more at that already taut string. I gazed up, aiming to bring down the very sky itself. My arm quivered and as I exhaled my breath left my lips slowly while the arrow was loosed. With no sound at all it buzzed upwards, point first into the ivory clouds that hung over me, but no matter how many arrows I knocked and shot, they always.... always came back. Fate had always been something i'd believed in, my very name was a representation of that. My brother Ashura was amazing. The same age as me, the same blood, nearly the same features, yet no matter how far my arrow traveled.. no matter how hard I tried to catch up. I'd always be left behind, with him looking back at me. I had accepted this fate, I was resigned to it. That was until I learned of my mother and fathers true origins, who they were.
Masumi Hozuki, I'd whisper, leaning my head back, allowing my black hair to trickle over from my cheeks and forehead. The Nidaime Mizukage- a powerful Hozuki. She was a strong woman with ambition, yet here I stood.... talent-less. My father, an obscured and scrutinized man named Kouketsu Uchiha. Both my brothers possessed the same power, they were both strong, yet my only saving grace was archery. The one thing that kept me going, but now... it wasn't enough. I wanted to be more.. do more, see more. Ashura was still traveling the world, whislt I sat caged within Konoha's walls. Imprisoned by my own weakness.
Ever since I got word from Ashura of our leneage, the question of "why" haunted me.It was the thought in the back of my mind while I trained, the nightmares of my dreams, the manifestations of my anxieties. I was ruled by this fear of becoming less than what I should be. i had powerful, influential figures for parents, yet I had not the special abilities to change the world. To gain authority. My name was a lie.... "Unemei" I repeated softly in a tone that lacked any trace of emotion. For so long it defined me, it was the one thing I understood, yet why when the truth was revealed did I feel these things? I've been uneasy, and the trembling in my right arm won't stop.
Drawing an single arrow, I nocked it slowly, applying as much pressure as humanly possible. My bow croaked from the pressure, the string, at its very limits. I was a fool. I wanted to follow Ashura... I wanted to be nothing, simply because he was blessed with all the talents- a genius i wanted to be nothing. I accepted such a destiny, but what I honestly and earnestly desired was something much more grand. I wanted to be ahead of Ashura and I wanted him to look back at me as I offered my hand to him. I was gonna become stronger, it was my fate. I'd come this far off the subtle ambition i'd ignored already. there was no sense in stopping.
No. Not now! I'd pull harder with this thought in mind, my fingers turned red, and blood dripped from my hands onto the string, turning it red. My ambition, my desire, my regret, my feelings, my respect, my love, my fear, my yearning.... I'd filled this single arrow with all of it and it hollered at me, begging to be loosed upon the blue sky. This was my way of making myself a promise. To never be jealous of what I wasn't born with... to never loath. Fate could be changed and I was destined to alter mines. I let go of my finger, allowing the arrow to spiral upwards, its ascension showed no sign of stopping, it pierced the the blank sky; the sun set and nights curtain fell upon the world.
"Unmei Uchiha.... sister to Ashura Uchiha and Ota Hozuki. Daughter of Masumi and Kouketsu."
I was going to do great things, and no longer hold myself back. I wasn't going to always look at Ashura's back. Thats what I thought
