Now this, this was something that struck her interest a great deal. This time, she wouldn't be stuck wandering about Hi No Kuni - now Kitsuné would be doing something shinobi were born to do--

fight.

Although her opponents would be mere petty thieves, they proved too dangerous for the average man or guard to handle, so naturally the people of Konoha would seek out the assistance of their stronger shinobi.

Recent intelligence had led Konoha officials to believe the band would strike at the house in which Kitsuné had prepared so fluidly, in the knowledge that the thieves would be sure to strike there next. For the most part, this band of robbers didn't have much of an exact purpose - they merely seemed to take some enjoyment from stripping others of their cherished possession. However, as a pure-hearted heroine, Kitsuné was determined to put an end to this behaviour - here and now.

The job would require a skilled shinobi, one who could properly gauge a situation and adapt accordingly. They needed a person who had real combat experience, and would be able to function in pressing situations where any normal person would break down in stress. Quite frankly, Konoha needed a chuunin volunteer - they needed Kitsuné Yumi.

With more than a decades worth of experience under her belt, the brunette was confident that she could complete the mission with great finesse. Nevertheless, showing no signs of arrogance, she kept a smart composure - the final preparation for the arrival of the thieves still needed to be made. Although they may be able to ultimately leave with their lives, they would certainly not leave with their freedom.

Description: All over Konoha, reports have been coming in about small house robberies. Whom these people are is unknown, but they usually leave the house in shambles once raided. Petty bandits have been captured, but they refuse to give information on their leader. Regardless of this, Konoha can not allow it's citizens to continue being robbed. Information on the next home to be struck is held within Konoha's intelligence. But capturing them has proven to be a job only for skilled shinobi.
Obective: Stay guard at the located home and stop the bandits. Take them alive. Killing them is not an option.
Reward: 200 EXP and 1,000 Ryo

Her preparation began with blazing through a set of seals in record-breaking times. These seals would mold her gorgeous sea-blue energy into two fine blades of chakra - typically, her technique was named the Chakra Scalpel. Throwing her body above the door frame of the house, her own; and her techniques existence would only be known to her.

With her attack ready to be launched, she brought her arms back and behind her torso - hidden from the view of everything, even the face of clock which ticked subtly above the mantelpiece. Earlier on, she had cleverly thought to replace the valuable packed boxes of various novelties scattered around the house, with fake boxes containing an extremely cumbersome material.

Furthermore, before going on the mission, she had been witty enough to gather approximately 4 pairs of handcuffs, so that after subdueing the thieves, she could keep them bound and tied up long enough to get them to a safer facility - behind the cold, disheartening bars of prison. These handcuffs were made of solid steel, and there was great doubt any of the foes had the strength to break through them.

All the preparations had been set.

" I guess . . all I can do now, is play the waiting game. . "

Night would settle in, and with it, a blanket of darkness settled in on the village. Although nighttime rarely was able to quiet the busy village of Konoha, the darkness it provided gave ample cover for anyone attempting criminal activities. This was a rather unfortunate turn of events for the Chuunin.

Three men indiscretely fell through the window of the building - one was somewhat scrawny and feeble, while the two others were a lot more beefy. Naturally, they had dressed themselves in dark cloaks and dark masks, and their entire aura was shrouded with mystery and villainous intent. Their apparel had caught her peripheral vision - and as such, she would prepare to launch her attack.

" Not this time, boys. "

In horror, all three turned to see the frame of a beautiful young woman - cloaked in a rose-pink kimono, and with a confident smirk beaming down on their paralysed facets. With shaking knees and pathetic weapons at their side, they took to their battle stances - unimpressive and ultimately futile.

" W-we'll get you, lady. Your shiny head-band don't scare us, does it boys? "

His comrades gave him no response. The under-weight, lanky one, seemed to be slowly shifting backwards, edging towards the window in which he had came through. However, there was no escape for him now - they had been foolish enough to enter the house in the first place, and now they would suffer the consequences.

" I'll grab the goods from these boxes - go get her, boys! "

With pathetic, underwhelming battle cries, they ran (almost triumphantly) forwards, swinging their blunt pocket knives. The first made an uppercut sweep with his blade - to which she effortlessly side-stepped. The second thief swung his arm in an attempt to deliver a vertical slash, but with a simple swoosh, she ducked down to face his knees, and once again, had evaded his attack. Her body gracefully twirled, her palms reaching out and pressing into the mens chests - their lungs suffered immediate internal damage, and like puny kitchen flies, they dropped to the floor.

Her eyes took to the last of the men - who finally worked out that the boxes that were once filled with goods, contained nothing more than blocks of worthless scrap iron. He knew he had no purpose here any longer - but he also knew escape was impossible--

" You're next. "

The man who stood before her took to a feeble-looking battle stance, and would soon rush in with a careless; and even sloppy manner. He threw a blow in her general direction, but in reeling his punch back, she was able to predict the strike, and with such a novice method of attacking - it was easy to capitalize on. Her left index finger would tap the man's head, sending a tiny; yet brutal charge of chakra into his system, which would fire him off backwards, throwing him into the chimney frame with a great crash.

Bricks crushed his shoulders and one of his hands - but with some miraculous collection of courage, he was determined to continue fighting. Running straight at her, his knife taking up the space of his one available hand - he made his final attempt at an effective assault. Yet, once again, it was to no avail. Kitsuné didn't even need chakra this time - for a simple sweep of her hand would knock him onto the floor, where he panted and wiped the blood from his head. As his one good arm made its weak attempt at bringing him back onto his feet, a powerful kick would launch him into a pile of iron scrap metal - rendering him totally unconscious.

" What goof-balls. . "

Her voice was filled with disdain but; oddly, with sympathy as well, for while it was true that these men were criminals, it appeared such a lifestyle choice . . was their only choice. Having an IQ that low really narrowed down the usually broad-range of paths one could take in life. Still - with some respect for their health, she took their hands, and handcuffed them to the curtain pole above the window they had once climbed into. Konoha Police Ops would surely find them in the morning, and by that stage they would be reflecting over their foolish mistakes.
