A lone ginger haired figure with hands buried deep in his pockets strapped with a gourd attached to his back along with other shinobi equipment, trekked his way through the shoddier side of Konoha’s settlement. A place where inevitably the village drunks stumbled through, prostitution happened but didn’t happen if you know what I mean, and the less privileged ended up claiming throne to the shacks that for the normal would be considered storage space, but to them it was thought of as home. Why was the 6’2” male journeying in the middle of such a place, well because surprisingly it was his site of origin of course, but one would not be able to decipher that from the garbs that dressed his entire being. However the outside spectator could only imagine, but really have no clue as to how the boy could afford such things that walked on the finer side of life.
’I hope auntie and uncle will be ok till I return. Fuck! …Eh what am I saying? …I know they’ll be ok.
With each passing step the surrounding structures architecture conditions got better and the road he walked got cleaner, but before the male could make his exit from one district to the next, a couple of boys ran up to greet the one the world would know as Zantetsuken Kanayama-hiko who would stop in his very tracks in order to converse with the little ones.
”Hiko! Hey Hiko! Where ya off to? More ninja cool stuff? …Errr more cool ninja stuff?” The excited tone that echoed came from that of a child, a dark haired boy whose clothing was rough around the edges, but despite his circumstances he held a good heart.
”So you off to whoop some ass! Is what Goro really meant.” The next boy with the bad mouth was a wild golden headed lad who had shared a similar tattered image as his dark haired counterpart. He had made a tightly clinched fist that was raised around the level of his façade after his sharp comment.
The Zantetsuken grinned at the pairs enthusiasm as his yellow orbs momentarily turned into thin smiling slits before expanding and shining like the sun, ”I guess you can say that, going to go pick up a mission. So did you guys get signed up for the academy? I made a strong case to each of your parents and hopefully they followed through.”
Goro would snap with a response first shaking his head eagerly up and down, and prior to speaking he seized a heroic pose. As his chest proudly pushed out and his fists were planted firmly on his hips, ”Yup they did! And you’re looking at the next Hokage.”
Tsuyoshi would follow Goro’s statement with a claim of his own, ”Me too, but I’m going to be stronger than the Hokage!” He immediately shot a challenging glare at Goro, which the onyx haired child responded to promptly, ”No! No one is stronger than the Hokage!” Tsuyoshi violently retorted in reaction, ”Yes huh!” Hiko only knew theoretically that situations like this could only get worse up until the point fists would begin to fly, so naturally he would step in to calm the boys. Not to mention he was in bit of a hurry to undertake his first mission.
”Whoa, whoa, whoa! You two both are going to be strong, I know it.” With that Hiko rubbed both boys on top of their heads roughly like a playful big brother, precedent to saying his goodbyes and continuing along his way to the Hokage’s residence where he would then proceed in the mission selection process.
