The sound of a kunai being sharpened only added to the monotony that its sibling, silence, had created. Little light existed in the dark room for there were no windows and the only lamp was too aged to have any luster. Saying that the air was stale would be an understatement; it was stagnant and fetid, polluted by the smell of a rotting corpse. This stench was one Ue Akemi and Inuzaka Ko were used too.
“…I think I can walk now,” A female voice said, barely a murmur. It was underlined with a sigh.
“Didn’t I tell you to attack first and ask questions later? He wasn’t called Lighthands for no reason,” Ko replied, annoyance in the voice. He took the sharpened kunai and slid it into his arms opposite sleeve. “Nonetheless, it is time for us to turn the body in. The bounty stations in this country don’t like rotten corpses.”
Standing up and producing a scroll, Akemi sighed again before opening it and sealing the corpse away. If she had waited any longer then the rotten body probably would have been halved in price.
“Let’s.” Akemi whispered again.BOUNTY01

It was an offer too good to pass up for one such as you. Bounty Hunter’s across the world were seen as money grabbing sharks, but in Mizu no Kuni, and more specifically Kirigakure no Sato, they were seen as a foundation stone of society. They kept the island nations in check with fear—each hunter was a warrior of a sect meant to hunt down those that broke the laws. Thus, you began your journey, and it had taken you here, to the Island of Hammer.
Those who lived in Mizu no Kuni and its surrounding islands knew this island well; it was famous for having a zero percent crime rate. Upon thinking on why, the answer would be both startling and awe-inspiring. As the source of the countries Oinin and having the biggest Bounty Station in the world, the Island of Hammer was essentially its own Hidden Village.
You come upon the town via the main road of the island. Even at a distance it reminds you of your home. Tall walls, surrounded by mist, keep it protected from any invasions, and the only way to distinguish it from Kiri proper was the flow of people going in and out.
Reaching the gates, two tall men stop you. They are dressed in the manor of Samurai.
“What business do you have here, stranger?”[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify]
